Donnie built me a transmission back in the 80 s & was fair and highly skilled back then , flash forward to today Donnie s working on 2003 tundra and My Truck runs like brand new! Thanks Donnie & all your people and their hard work !

I recently needed to get my vehicle's transmission serviced and topped off. I took it to Wheeler's transmission (NOT DONNIE WHEELER) and was told that I needed a new transmission. I was told that the fluid capacity was full. Having questioned the validity of this assessment, I had my vehicle towed to Donnie Wheeler's. The staff was a pleasure to interact with and the service was timely. Mr. Wheeler's team did exactly what I asked for. They serviced the transmission by topping the fluid off. The vehicle was road tested and cleared for me to come pick it up. The cost of this service was reasonable and I will definitely take my vehicle back to Donnie Wheeler's. Thank you for you help and treating me how you would want to be treated.

6 Stars! Nothing but great things to say. The prices here beat the dealer and other local shops. DW team has worked on 2 of my vehicles in a 3 year span. My 2010 Tahoe went in for transmission repair at 150,000 miles a few years ago. Since then it's made 4 east coast trips and is still rolling at 206k miles. Recently brought in my 2017 for a rebuild and the service. They have my trust and I trust the vehicles they get back on the road for me. The whole crew there was super nice and called frequently to be transparent with the entire process both times (thanks Debbie!). 10/10 recommend.

Brought my Mazda here after getting the run around from a dealership. Debbie was sweet and always friendly. They had looked at my car and repaired the transmission, for half the price and way before the original due date. Car is running amazing!

They don't even deserve a star , only great people and great work deserve a star, the dishonesty , if they are good for anything it might be warranty work because those are the big fish , these people know exactly what they are doing , and chose to take other routes so they can try to juice more money out your pocket, if you don't know anything about vehicles. They can't play that with warranty companies because they have there own inspectors and lawyers , be careful of these people

I was recommended this place by someone at work. I took my transmission to have the seals replaced since it was leaking, but shifting properly. I returned after two days and they informed me that they could either repair it (despite acknowledging that the transmission was functioning) or I could take it back, but they wouldn't replace the seals. The reason they cited for not fixing it was the extensive work required to reach one of the seals. Many parts had to be removed, resulting in a price difference of $2,500 because one the seal was hard to reach. When they told me this information, they wore a guilty expression, unsure of how to articulate it. I will never patronize this establishment again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The level of unprofessionalism exhibited by this place is pdf the charts. Don't waste your time; there are numerous other options available. Gave one star because I have to, otherwise wouldn t give none.

I just wanted to say how wonderful everyone was at Donnie Wheeler s Transmission Shop. A shout out to Debbie and Cordell for both being great people that really take care of you!I was 600 miles from home and 600 miles from where I was headed when my transmission broke. Not knowing anyone or who to ask where to take my broken truck, I decided to try a national transmission shop.After 2 wasted days in a hotel, I was getting nowhere with getting my truck fixed, so I did the smart thing and called Donnie Wheeler s Transmission Shop after seeing that they had an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.Debbie answered the phone and I explained my situation ( as far as being from out of town) and she promised me that they would have me back on the road in less than 48 hours. I am so grateful that they were able to rebuild my transmission in such a short period of time!If you re looking for a transmission shop that charges reasonable prices and truly cares about helping you when your vehicle s transmission fails, don t hesitate to go to Donnie Wheeler s Transmission

My son in law who just got out of the Marines and traveling 600 miles for the Marine corp reserves blew the transmission in his pick up, they got him in knowing they were booked out for a couple of weeks and rebuilt his trans for him. The final bill was actually cheaper than what they quoted me. Could ask for better service or more honest people!!Thank you so much guys!!!

First time customer I spoke to Debbie about a custom build on my transmission for my F150. I paid the quoted price also the truck was ready when promised! Donnie wheelers transmission is one amazing place. I live in greenville nc and had my vehicle towed to them because of doing business with them in the past. They have did transmission work in my mercedez in the past and just most recently my chysler that I utilize for my transportation business. They never disappoint. They are an affordable, honest, company. I recommend anyone in need of transmissions services to give them a try!

I broke my truck a couple years back, had it worked on here. I don't think they even test rode it before they called me to tell me it was ready... went right back in, after months of wait, got it back, it still has never been the same... not happy... found another shop in Fayetteville, and another in Sanford... but never here again.

Fantastic service!!!! I worked for Travellers Autobarn, we have three locations in LA, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Our van had an issue with the transmission. I spoke with Debbie at the shop, and we decided to rebuild the transmission because we had our customer was waiting for the van. Our customer is from England, and they were on a 6-month vacation. This transmission shop built our van within 24hours and had our customer continue their trip. WHAT A GREAT SERVICE! I don't live in Fayetteville NC. But everyone in Fayetteville NC should go to this shop for their transmission service. GREAT PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY DEBBIE.Services: Transmission, Oil change

Must say that I was recommended to go to this business. Not understanding much about cars they invested time with me, explained and tested everything properly. It is a shame that they only have time to work on transmissions because I'd use them for all our mechanics needs. Highly recommend! Took my car to 2 other shops and couldn t they couldn t find/fix the issue (transmission light kept going on and throwing car into limp mode). Took it to Donnie Wheeler and they not only found the issue, but they also fixed it in a timely manner in order to work with my short timeline. They also explained/broke down the issue for me. I have a 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel and by reviews and word of mouth, I took my truck to Donnie and his team to have my transmission rebuilt. I can tell you that I am beyond pleased and the pride and professionalism that they stand by is truly amazing. My transmission has never shifted as it does now and the towing power is amazing. I was recommended to Donnie Wheeler by another transmission shop and only if he knew how much of a blessing that was. I was in need of transmission work due to going to Chevy and being told my 3rd and 5th gears were out and I would have to pay $5,200.00 to get a whole new transmission. I called and was answered by Mrs. Wheeler who was professional and so down to earth. She explained cost and gave me an estimate on when my car would be ready. And she kept me updated. Once they broke my transmission down they found minor issues fixed it and had me come to pick up my car. Instead of them hooking it up to a machine like Chevy they toke their time and was honest instead of damages. I recommend Donnie Wheelers to anyone and everyone. This was by far the best vehicle related purchase/repair in my life. Debbie legit cared about my circumstance and tried, successfully, to accommodate my very short timeline of relocating across the country.I was referred here by a colleague and wish they had done so before I blindly trusted the name brand AAMCO. The employees there were not prompt in response, caused me more out of pocket expenses. They were also very unprofessional by badmouthing other transmission shops in the area and trying to guilt me into keeping my business there.I know major vehicle service is stressful and costly but I would come back here 10/10 times if I wasn t leaving the area.

My son took his car in for a diagnostic on the transmission. The staff was exceptional and took plenty of time of rule out the transmission as the problem and offer a referral to a mechanic equipped to take care of him. This was such a great experience for him learning to take care of his hand-me-down first car on his own. Highly recommend this fantastic business! At least my experience was terrible. Took my car for a U0101 code, TCM comms error. They told me that it was electrical not the TCM because it didnt have solenoid error codes. The dealer said it was the TCM. But trusting them I replaced the entire harness assembly ($375) and got the same code afterwards. Called them back and now they said that "oh yes that code is the TCM", to bring it back. I was willing, they said they would give me a price. Three hours later called them because no one had called and he then needed the VIN, which I understand it is needed. But here I am 6 pm (they are closed of course) and no call with a price. I am glad they helped other people but they didnt do me right. Do not recommend.Service: Transmission

Friendly staff. Mechanic took time to drive my car with me. after I brought it back when warning lights came on.Very knowledgeable and car is working properly.. just needed time for transmission to learn how to shift.

Brought my 2005 Ram 2500 to have my 48re overhauled. First day I wanted in after calling Debbie knew exactly who I was and was very helpful with the entire process. She told me it would take a week at the most and sure enough my truck was finished before a weeks time which to me was mind blowing I ve never dealt with a shop to have such quick turn arounds. My truck drives way better than it did before and I m excited to see how it holds up. All in all I am impressed not because I got a T-shirt and other goodies but with how welcome and friendly this shop was with me and how upfront they were with everything the total cost ended up being less than what was quoted that was another big bonus for me and they back their work with a warranty which is awesome! My hat is off to you guys keep up the good work and thanks again for the help I will 100 percent be coming back in the future when I need transmission work on any of my vehicles. Thanks guys!Update: my truck is great and has had a few issues because of the famous 48re, but you know what Donnie and Debbie are a god send, Hands down the best and most kind hearted shop around Fayetteville, I know 100% the stand by their work and they back it up too. I truly mean this from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you guys enough for all the work you guys have done on my truck and I really will be a repeat customer for them because they have been good honest people and that is hard to find around here. Donnie wheelers transmission by far exceeded my expectations. He did exactly what he said he would do and more. No surprises or hidden cost. And explained to me what was wrong with my truck and how he was gonna fix it. And gave me a warranty. And he got my truck back to me super fast. Because i needed it for work. He rebuilt the transmission in my 2014 chevy silverado z71. And it is running better than ever. I strongly recommend donnie wheelers transmission. By far the best in town.Service: Transmission

Wouldn't trust anyone else with my Jeep. I was in town visiting for a bit, and a long way from home. They took excellent care of me, even if I was clueless about cars - I felt totally at ease doing business here. Highly recommend them to anyone (especially ladies) who might need work done. It's always a "crapshot" when a woman walks in a repair place, with car problems. Wish they were closer to where I live!!!!
