We had a great experience here. The shop was clean and well taken care of. The prices were great for the services and our car was ready way earlier than we expected. The customer service was also excellent. We will be using this shop again for our vehicle. Definitely recommend!

After going to 2 different shops previously, my tires were still not balanced nor aligned properly causing a lot of shaking while driving. We then came to Cape Fear Automotive and I am so grateful. They finally got my alignment correct and the shaking is no longer!! Their customer service is top notch and took the time to explain everything. They did not try to take advantage or sell extra stuff. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you!!!!

These are the most professional auto mechanics I have ever dealt with. They take their time explaining what they are going to do and why. The cost is also well within the average cost of the services provided. I highly recommend them to anyone needing automotive service

I was stranded and had to be towed as car blew out all of the oil. I was in a tight spot and everyone here was awesome. What I thought was going to be a bad problem and cost a fortune was a terribly loose oil filter housing. They cleaned it all up and did and oil change and filter service for the most reasonable price I have ever paid. And by far the cleanest most organized mechanics shop in town! They have won over a new customer. TPMS sensors are next in line. Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Had a knocking noise like a loose tie rod or bad cv joint, travelling through Fayetteville I decided to get it checked, found this shop online and read the reviews, that were all good, I decided to stop in. Being Friday before the long weekend they were not overrun and were able to talk a look right away. All was good, in the end. Highly recommended them! The staff was very courteous and helpful. I was having difficulty with my air conditioning not cooling adequately. My car was diagnosed and repaired promptly( within 65 minutes). I took my work Jeep and By far the best mechanic shop I have ever been too, they are honest and professional. They explain all the details and give you options. I can't thank the great folks at Cape Fear Automotive enough! I thought I hit something in the road and then I had a hard time steering my car. I called and spoke with Allison. She was very helpful and put my mind at ease over the phone. I was able to make it to the shop. It turns out my idler pulley was loose and when I changed lanes to avoid debris, it came off. They were able to install a new pulley while I was working. Plus, Allison drove me to work and picked me up so I could get my car... all in the same day! This occurred the day after Thanksgiving when most automotive shops were closed for the holidays.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I can't say enough good things about my experience at this shop. The first place I took my car for an a/c diagnostic wasn't able to do it due to my car taking the newer, more expensive 1234 freon. The price I was quoted at the first shop while assuming I needed less expensive freon was astronomically higher than what I just paid at Cape Fear Automotive even with the newer freon. They stay up to date and were able to diagnose my a/c and fill it with freon which was something I had been told by a couple of places that only the dealership would be able to do. Billy was personable and professional as were the 2 other gentlemen I spoke with. I had an appointment and was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time.I have been looking for a good, honest place to work on my car ever since losing my dad 8 yrs ago who was a mechanic and handled all my repairs. I'm so relieved I've found this place. I feel 100% comfortable bringing my car to them for anything going forward.Service: Air conditioning

Car started having trouble starting and power steering started to not work while idling. The auto parts store told us the alternator was going out and probably the battery. The car wouldn't start after that day so we decided to have it towed to Cape Fear Automotive. We were scheduled for Tuesday and had it towed the day before. They had the battery replaced and alternator checked all within a few hours of the vehicle arriving Monday. Very impressed by their professionalism and the cost. We'll definitely be back and will probably have our oil changed here in the future as well.Service: Battery

I have been going here for 5 years and will not take my vehicles anywhere else! From oil changes, new tires, fixing leaks, etc., it is always an affordable price and a friendly staff. The manager, Billy, is always kind and explains everything in detail about what is going on with your vehicle. And Kyle, who works up front, is also always kind and very professional! This place does NOT try to screw you out of money, they legitimately have the customers best interest at heart. I always leave very satisfied with the service I receive, I HIGHLY recommend this place for your automotive needs.

I needed new tires for my bass boat trailer. I had a friend recommended Cape Fear Automotive to me. I called them this morning and spoken with Kyle and Billy. Billy is the Manager. Billy said to bring it right over and he would take care of it now. So I did.My experience with Cape Fear Automotive is nothing but Great!!!! The are very knowledgeable, friendly with great customer service!!!! When I walked in my tires where pulled and waiting for me. My boat trailer was put into a bay and work started withing the first 3 minutes of my arrival. That is SERVICE!!!!!This place is very clean and organized and the staff are very knowledgeable, polite and professional.If you are in need of tires, come to Cape Fear Automotive and be taken care of. AWESOME JOB and Thank You!!!!

Cape Fear Automotive's employees are extremely friendly and honest. They don't try to "find" things wrong to get money. If they are unable to assist, they will even offer you a referral! I have been using them to service my vehicle for a few years now, and I am extremely satisfied with the environment and their service! I would recommend them to anyone.

We are absolutely thrilled with the service from Cape Fear Automotive. While evacuating from the coast, we were unsure where to get our tires taken care of, but Mr. Billy provided very fast, efficient, and courteous service. We were in and out in under an hour. These guys are too notch . Right from the initial phone call to ask pricing to the face to face to the work that was performed . Customer service was fantastic. I believe Kyle was the name of our Service writer and he was very helpful and informative and made sure our needs where meet and addressed . We will most definitely be repeat customers. Being from out of town and needing auto repair, I wasn t sure who to use. So I contacted a State Farm select service body shop to find out who does their mechanic work and they highly recommended Cape Fear Automotive. I was extremely impressed by their professionalism. Within 2 hours of dropping off my car, Billy contacted me with a diagnosis of the problem. He went into great detail to explain the problem and what would be required to fix it. When I picked up my car, Scott gave me copies of the diagnostic reports that were done and explained them in great detail. Called other repair shops in the area to get quotes on the work done and found Cape Fear Automotive prices to be very competitive. I will definitely use them again.
