Mr. Wood and his staff is very nice. Seems to know what they re doing. I say excellent service. Very knowledgeable. I like taking my vehicle there to get whatever is going on fixed.

An emergency brought us to Elizabeth City. We had driven 12 hours on a damaged CV joint. A friend recommended Wood's to help us out. Even after a holiday weekend, they were sympathetic to our situation and agreed to squeeze us in. Not only were they fast with a well done repair, they charged a fair price despite the urgency. I have never been treated so well by a car service center. Well done Wood's. Thank you and God Bless you!

Thanks much to all the super helpful people that worked at this shop. I was kinda at a loss for what to do with my broken down car and they were all very patient with me and super kind. My first time going there, won't be my last. I would highly recommend them.

We have been carrying vehicles to Wallace for decades and they simply are the best. Amazing service, extremely knowledgeable, fair prices, and as honest (I'm an authority on honesty as you well may know) as they come. I highly recommend them and you can't possibly go wrong! Woods is our go-to auto repair place. On multiple occasions we had been told at another repair place that both of our vehicles a/c compressor needed replacement. When we carried them to woods, both vehicles wound up needing just about $100 fixes (chaffed wire and overcharged system) rather than hundreds of dollars to replace a part that wasn't bad. They could have easily taken advantage of us but were honest and fair.

Automotive work was done very well. A word of advice to customers-Have an appointment.There were 2 minor issues but not enough that I would take a star away from the rating. To the service center- please call when the vehicle is ready or to notify about new problems found during automotive work. And when the vehicle is ready and customer has paid please be courteous and park the vehicle in a safe and accessible place for the customer.

Have been taking cars to the Wood's Service Center for 20 years with outstanding results. They took one car I owned to 375,000 miles and it is still in use by a new owner and has likely topped 400,00 miles. Wallace, Christa, and their team have always done great work for us and have always been more than fair in pricing!!!

These guys rock. They're the ONLY game in town i can find that will work on imports. Their rates are good, they get work done quickly and on schedule, and they seem like pretty nice people. Extremely helpful. My right hand rear view mirror was hit, full force by a Buzzard and they graciously reattached it to my car! Very grateful for their help in my time of need!

I have been dealing with Mr Wood since the 90's and he is the only mechanic that I will let touch my cars he is very professional and Adam is the best. I had an issue with my car, while my car is a finicky thing and was unable to have a diagnosis, this place was very friendly and helpful to me. The issue for me was not on them and their professionalism was enough for me to want to say how I'd recommend them to people.

This place was recommended to me by 2 other places in town because they work on transmissions, but they wouldn't replace the governor pressure sensor on my jeep. A fairly easy fix, but charged me $30 to do a diagnostic test on it after Auto Zone had already done one for FREE. They just reconfirmed what the issue was. They had my vehicle all day and never called me to tell me they couldn't fix it, I had to call them to see what the progress was just to be told oh we can't do it. Won't be taking my vehicle back there ever.

Was a first time customer this morning with an AC leak referred by a family member. When I walked out the door an hour later, the AC was fixed and I was one very happy customer.Woods, you just got yourself a new regular customer!!

I am glad a friend recommended Wood's Service Center to us a few years back when we moved to the area. They are good at what they do and they are honest and they go the extra mile and their prices are fair.

This review is edited to show full reason for the 1 star since a complaint was made about its previous writing. I brought in my 95 toyota paseo because it would start and not stay running. it was found that the oil pump went out which blew the timing belt out. Woods told me that if it was a resistance engine it could have bent the valves when the car was attempted to be started after the timing belt went out understood but at that time they didnt know and never did they a bother to find out or b bother to tell me it was. they did their check finding nothing else wrong called and let me know i had thought in calling me to ask for the go ahead at that point since they did not say it was a resistance engine that it wasn't a resistance engine. they did the repair my car came out of the oil pump and timing belt replacement smoking and burning through oil. I talked to a used car dealer about the car and right off he told me the 95 toyota paseo and the tercel line all have a resistance motor. Woods repeatedly said there was nothing they could have done differently to change things. i will rephrase that there was nothing they could have done differently that would have gotten them paid for the repair as it took me 10 minutes keying my engine numbers into google to find the car dealer was right and like he also said i should have been told it was a resistance engine before the oil pump and timing belt were done. so yes woods could have done something different in the case of my car and that would have been to take ten minutes to find out if that car had a resistance motor or not in it before the repair was decided to be done. as yes the values were bent in the attempt of starting the car. I am sorry I had to write this review but when you made the complaint about my previous one that could have been dismissed by most people i was left with no choice but to write exactly why you got 1 star. because there was something you could have done that would have led to a different result if you'd done the appropriate and required research you'd have lost the almost 800 for the timing belt and oil pump but you might have gained the job of putting in the engine when it arrives. I will also make this note for the staff there ive known since the day i wrote the original review what went wrong i tried to give you an opportunity to a admit error or b let my dismissable review go. you sadly took neither path.

Very honest people. I would not take my car anywhere else in town. They saved me money compared to other places in town that tried to charge me for parts I didn t even need.

Took 4 fix one problem and very expensive. Nice people but I can't afford the time or money.
