Usually, I have an overall good experience with this shop. I am in and out pretty quickly. However, I came today on a Sunday which it says their hours are from 9 to 6. I show up and the gates are closed and the doors are locked. I tried calling, but there was no answer. This is very misleading and inconvenient for customers. If it says online and on the door that you will be open then if there is an issue and you can t be open, you should leave a note letting people know. Or have someone to triage the answering service Or at least leave a message, noting that there is an issue and you couldn t open today. Disappointed.

This complaint is about the Walmart auto care at new hope commons in Durham NC and this lady called TY.I was at the store for oil change dated 9/12/23 btw the hours of 12:47pm and 1:33pm. This lady named TY ( An African American)attended to me reluctantly. She was very rude, condescending and loud. She should not be allowed to be dealing with humans. The technician that eventually did my intake was professional and cautious which am sure he observe her attitude towards me. This lady attitude to this guy was really nasty and even worst than mine.My car keys I believed was deliberately hidden after service that I have to be asking this Spanish technician where my keys were until it was eventually found. This I believed was done deliberately by this lady.I gave this auto care center a no star rating at all. it was a terrible experience.ThanksService: Oil change

My experience went very well. Bought a Walmart battery at another store, went to the Chapel Hill Auto Center to do the free installation. The person checking me in was courteous and efficient. The job was completed quickly, and I received timely text messages on my phone that the work had begun and when it was completed. Notably the presets on my radio were not lost, so they performed the battery swap properly, unlike other auto parts places where I've had car batteries replaced. Check out including the core charge reimbursement was also handled efficiently. Recommended.

When I went there for flat tire repair on Monday morning, auto center was closed. No public holiday, no online notice or no response when I call them.

At this location, they're careless. Got two tires, which they tried to overcharge for. There were 4 or 5 techs working but only one guy doing the work. When I paid and went out to get my car there was a broken stem cap on one of the new tires. I went to tell the manager who wasn't apologetic, but went and got me a new stem cap. Hmm. I was their only customer. They weren't at all busy yet gave me a broken stem cap.

Yes, the wait was a little long but everyone there was very professional and friendly. I would go back again for oil change and tires

Had a blowout on a brand new tire. After calling to inquire about the tire and having it installed, I was assured that I could have the tire put on my car today if I arrived by a reasonable time. I arrived at the Auto Care Center within fifteen minutes, but upon arrival was told that I would have to wait until tomorrow because they closed early . (8/17/22)

You can t trust them, if I were you I d stay with my car to ensure that not only all the work is done; but that it is done accurately. Was told my fluids would be topped off and tire pressure checked. None of it was done, at this point I m not sure if they changed the oil or just added a bit to it. You think a full synthetic oil change would take longer then 7 minutes especially with everything else promised to be done, checking battery, checking fluid levels, tire pressure. At this point I m just praying they changed the oil filter, put in new oil and screwed everything this in tightly. Called to let them know, was told comeback we will check them but I thought you already did. And I know they didn t check the tires because I stopped by discount tires to get them checked and was told they were 29psi when it should ve been 34 and Walmart put down it was at 35. Smh used to like Walmart but I don t think I ll be dealing with them anymore..Service: Oil change

I've used Walmart multiple times for oil changes. Yesterday, this location had run out of the oil I needed for an oil change. Due to their supply chain issues and poor planning, I was told I would have to pay an additional $12 because they would need to pull bottles off the shelf. They refused to have Walmart just eat the cost. Not customer-friendly. Needless to say, I went elsewhere.

Had a road trip. Call before I got there said it would be 45 minutes so I brought my patience with me. LoL. I pulled up and they immediately took me. I did a tiny bit of shopping ( 5 items) sat in the lobby for about 10 minutes and was done. .

I arrived around 3:00 on a Thursday to have one tire patched. Had to wait in line for about 15 minutes to initiate the service with only 1 person in front of me, 3 employees standing behind the counter, and only 1 of 2 computers being used. I was then given an estimated wait time of 1.5 hours because there were two cars in front of me. Returned after 2 hours to pick up my car and was told they had not started working on it yet. About 45 minutes later they informed me that they would actually need to replace my tire. About 20 minutes after that, the mechanic came in to tell me that my car was done and that I was just waiting for the cashier to return to check me out. When she finally returned several minutes later, she informed me that she had lost my keys and had to go find them. Finally left after 3+ hours and will definitely not have my car serviced at Walmart in the future.

My husband arrived 10 minutes after opening on a Saturday and only 1 employee was working. He was told it would be a 1.5 hour wait because 2 customers were ahead of him. He arrived before opening the following Monday to fix a tire. They completed that but refused to check pressure and rotate the tires. Again, 1 employee was working as well as the super slow cashier. I guess they can't keep customers or employees!?

First I had to go in and find someone that would help. Then they said they had the materials then after waiting an hour and checking in, they decided to tell me they didn t have my part. No recommendations to solve the issue and no apologies. Went down the street and bought the part and still paid exact same price and although it was a quick oil change, I d e willing to bet it was thorough and other fluids and such weren t checked. Places is completely unorganized, unprepared and not very friendly or professional.

A monkey with a wrench could do a better and faster job than this place. Plus I got charged for new valve stems. 1. Never was told about new valve stems being installed. 2. Never asked to have them installed. 3. When I asked why I was charged for something I was not advised of or asked for and I was told it was mandatory and Walmart policy... no apology for not advising me of it or anything of that sort. Definitely goes to show how much they care. I have had my tires changed plenty times before at varying walmarts and had never been required to change them. If this is "policy" I'd love to see it. I have a friend I went to school with who is assistant manager at an auto center in Virginia who knows nothing of this policy.

I went to get a pit crew oil change at approximately 11:45 a.m. and I just got back my vehicle at 3:50 p.m. Mind you that they weren't even busy and I witnessed 4 cars that came after me including 3-4 cars before me got service because they are getting new tires. I called corporate to complain about my experience and they told me they're gonna talk to the manager to find out what's the problem. The manager went to the service dock, walked back into the store and didn't even acknowledged me nor even apologized for the Inconvenience. Don't waste your time and go to Walmart auto care because they're affordable, go to a reputable auto care company and spend the extra buck or two and get professional service done to your vehicle.

This was the worst tire install experience I have ever had. First I showed up at 9AM on a Sunday to get the tires I had ordered ship-to-store installed. The "crew" didn't show up till 9:25 (25 minutes late) to assist me and 3 other customers sitting outside. When I got in to the store I was greeted with DMV like etiquette and a terrible demeanor from everyone I spoke to.After an hour of waiting for my tires to be installed I was called by Walmart to let me know the name on the tires didn't match the name on my install order (Was never asked for an ID from anyone). So I waited 3 hours for my tires to be installed when I was second in line for service. Pay the extra $20 bucks and take your tires to someone else.

Why a one? I came in and asked if they would be able to do a service by a certain time because I had somewhere to be. They said YES no one was waiting. I came with a little over an hour before I had to be somewhere. I had to have two tires changed. That process does not take that long. They didn t finish by the time I asked it was much longer after and they were just hanging out talking, eating and not finishing my car as I watched them. They could have just said no because these people are the slowest moving people I have ever seen and I would have come back at a later time when I could just casually wait and it wouldn t matter.

Pulled up and was greeted right away. Took less than an hour to get two new tires and windshield wipers. We shopped at the same time. Super happy with service.

I would give them no stars but unfortunately that isn t an option. I had a leak in my tire and I asked them to repair it and after waiting two hours they claimed there wasn t a leak while the pressure went down right after being pumped up again. Will be going elsewhere and not coming here again.

Just left the tire department. The cashier was rude. Instead of asking me if she could help me she says do u need some help. Course I need help I'm standing in the tire conter. The way she was asking me things was in a way like I might be stopping her from something. If I didn't have a warranty on this tire I would come back here every. This isn't the first time this has happened. Never coming back to this store tire department.

Honest advice: If you purchase new tires from Walmart, do not get them installed there. They are cheaper than average shop but they do flimsy job. Most of their employees doesn t even have very basic knowledge about the tires.1- They charge you for brand new valve stems but they don t change them which only takes few seconds to replace them.2- Balancing also bad, steering wheel shakes on highway because of flimsy balance job.You have no option but pay for balancing second time at another shop or your new tires will wear faster and cause other suspension issues.Make yourself a favor and go to reputable shops like Chapel Hill Tire for brand new tire installation.

Called a few times this one day I needed to replace one tire, and was looking to buy all for tires, but they never responded to the call. Towards the end of the day a lady picked up, with the least effort in her voice to assist me, and put me on hold for 11 minutes. I hung up. I guess Walmart doesn't need my money anyway.

Came before 7 am to have my new tires put on. They did not open the doors until 7:15 (hours state they open at 7). I have been here for 2 hours at this point. Absolutely no chance I will be returning.

I read other reviews and expected a bad expierence...but I did not! It was a good price for replacing my tires. Only took like 30 mins..and they were friendly. They charge a $10 fee for a warranty on the tire just incase which is great. I will be back for an oil change ! Give this place a try if needed

Girl said my oil change would be 20 minutes. Cool no problem. Came back and then 1.5 hrs later it was just being finished. Paid and went to my car. And they scratched the side of my car up. Didn t even apologize

Since, yesterdayI didn't get any chance to change tire and even though come back on next day the same thing was happening . There is no car in service area but they can't get my car to change tire after several hours.I don't really know how they run the business.Obviously, I can see in review and rating.
