They took a beat up 2008 Toyota 4Runner and made it new again. I changed the color from Grey to White and had them do the door jambs. I was shocked when I picked it up at how clean and new it looked. The price was quite reasonable and they completed the job on time. They also installed new headlights that I bought online. Great job!

Highly recommend Macco of Durham. They did a full repaint on my 94 F150 and addressed all my issues. Got the estimate and work was done and ready for pickup within a week.

I've had bodywork done here twice (dents and repainting) and both times the price, work quality, service, and timeframe were all excellent. The folks here are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Most recently I popped in with a small repair issue and Matt went above and beyond to deal with it on the spot.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! They do not properly paint and you will have to take it to a real professional after Maaco crews your car up. I took my truck there. 2 weeks after getting it back the paint started to peel. I took it back to them and they admitted it was because they didn't take the fenders off (like you are supposed to). They said I would have had to pay extra for that, but they never gave me the option. They said I would have to pay them for them to correct their mistake. They are extremely rude and absolutely do not stand behind their work. I also noticed they sprayed inside the truck. How do you even do that?! I filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau.Seriously, they are not professionals. Do not waste your time and money here.

Brian, Travis, and Justin were amazing to work with. They were always responsive over the phone and were so patient helping me to perfect the color for the truck which wasn't easy! The pricing was great, and once we got the color right, the turn around time was just a couple of days. The quality of the paint job is as good as any pricey high end place. I would highly recommend working with them.

Had a fender bender and needed repair. They were very courteous and straightforward about repair. The repair turn around time was very quick. The repair looks good.

I took my dad's '72 truck in to get it painted. The truck had been sheltered most of its years and was in good shape, but the paint was weak. The crew there respected the truck and my attachment to it. Jamie quoted a fair price and the result was outstanding.Service: PaintingService: Painting

I went by Maaco in Durham, NC to get a quote to have my VW Beetle painted. Brian looked my car over and he assured me that what I was dreaming of could become a reality at a reasonable price. I dropped my car off the very next week and he and his staff did an amazing job on my lil' cutie! I was completely over the moon when I picked it up. It was unbelievable how they made my 99 Beetle look like I just drove it off the showroom floor! I will be forever grateful for the awesome job they did and how they helped to make my dream come true! I highly suggest that you hurry and take your car on over! You will be glad you did!!! Check out the before and after pics!

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I was blown away with the repair I got from Maaco.I got into a fender bender for the first time - someone rear-ended me. After going to a few places for an estimate, I felt especially good about this place. Terrance was extremely kind, efficient, and didn't make me feel shafted in any way. With me being obviously inexperienced in this field, this was not the case other places I went.On top of that, the repair I got was above and beyond. They took the extra time to make sure the bumper matched the rest of my car and overall it looks phenomenal.Thank you, Terrance, and I highly recommend this shop!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I very unhappy with the outcome of my 2018 Tacoma. They had to paint it twice. First time they painted over the dust from when they sanded it. After the second time they painted over dirt and bugs on the driver door. There are jagged edges where they didn t blend the paint. They painted the whole door obviously didn t sand the entire door. I would have rather kept the issue that was present before the paint job. Don t go here. Spend the extra money to ensure that you get the quality. Also they pried the Tacoma badge off the door and left small dents instead of using dental floss. I regret taking my truck to this shop.Service: Painting

Took my vehicle in on Monday to get an estimate to be painted. The estimates are getting from other organizations were more than the value of the vehicle up to $15,000. Went to maaco and was greeted by a young guy named Tarence who really seemed to know what he was doing walkes me through the different packages and then said that he could take it right now if I left it and would have it ready on Friday morning. I was a little skeptical but they called me on Thursday morning and said the vehicle was ready. I was elated when I picked it up and saw the quality of the paint job. Can't even begin to imagine paying some of the quotes that I was given and probably get no better paint job. I will never hesitate to use maacoagain

This Maaco is amazing!!! I took my 16 year old car there just to get an estimate on paint cost and they quoted me something so reasonable I agreed on the spot even though I usually like to shop around. I was a little bit worried about the quality of the paint job for the price, but my car came out looking almost brand new! I could hardly recognize it - it was amazing. I would highly recommend this Maaco to anyone who wants a decent quality paint job for a very reasonable price. Not to mention that the people I interacted with at the front desk were very kind and accommodating. Plus, while they said the turn around time could be up to a week, they had my car ready for pickup the very next day. For the price, I couldn t be happier.Service: Painting

Just had the most pleasant experience having my right car side and bumper painted at Maaco in Durham. Brian was so incredibly easy and nice to deal with and provided more service than I had anticipated. My car looks magnificent and my wallet is not empty. Encourage everyone to utilize my great find. Maaco in Durham-right off the Hillsborough exit of 15/501. Looking so nice. Thank you Maaco and Brian!!!Service: Body & Trim

Great experience with Maaco, very affordable and the paint job I received came out better than I imagined. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Only reason I gave them four stars was because, upon receiving my car, there was a white dust like residue pretty much coating inside of both of my car front doors. I'm assuming this is from part of the process stripping and painting my car, but it would have been nice for them to quickly wipe it down before giving it back to me. Otherwise, highly recommend!

I recently went to the Durham location and couldn't be happier, my car was in pretty bad shape, the paint was faded and had completely diminished in some areas, we waited so long to get it painted because we've been considering getting a new car all together, our estimator Rhett Vernon was wonderful, he only recommended what we needed, the price was more then fair and the work is perfect. We will be back with one of our other vehicles very soon, and have recommended this maaco location to others. I would like to thank you for your excellent customer service and professionalism.

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla that badly needed a complete paint job, but was otherwise in good repair. Because of the age of my car, I chose MAACO in Durham because it was listed on Google as one of the cheapest places near me. I was astounded when I saw the finished product! It looked like a new car! My friends have raved about it and have been asking where I had it done and how much it cost. The price: $13,300. I recommend MAACO on Christian Street in Durham 5/5stars.Service: Painting

The dude on the phone was extremely customer oriented and seemed concerned about meeting any concerns I had about my car. Although I ended up not using Maaco, I will definitely keep this in mind next time. Sometimes just being nice and sincere with customers can go a long way in the future.Service: PaintingService: Painting

I picked my car up today from Maaco and I couldn't recognize my car. They went over and above my expectations and gave me the paint job I thought I could only dream of. I've sent pictures to everyone I know and they all think it's awesome but they also think it's a new car . I would like to shout a huge thank you to Brian and the crew there, 2 of my other cars are definitely on the way soon for paint jobs. I must also add they treated my husband and I like family. They kept in contact with us and and made us feel like we've been knowing them forever

"Uh oh, better NOT call Maaco". In addition to the extreme timeframe issues I now see by other dissatisfied patrons, they painted my vehicle not only the wrong color but left paint marks covering the interior. If I could post pictures here no one would ever have their car painted at Maaco of Durham. My initial primary issue was being told 4-5 days. I left my vehicle with them for 8 business days, EIGHT. When I called to check up I was told an additional day. The following day I was told the same thing. Finally told to come by 9:45 the third (late) day- I even called that morning to confirm. Showed up and waited until 11:30. How does a business which simply paints cars have no idea how long the process will take? To have the nerve to lie and say a time to come when it isn't ready, is terrible business.Called corporate and was told to take it up with this location. Completely useless.

In March of 2019 I consulted with Maaco of Durham to have my Jeep Wrangler painted. I d been wanting to change the color of the car, inside and out, for several years and based upon some quality reviews my wife saw online, the consultation we had, their spoken willingness to attempt some other body work, and their assurance that work would be completed in just one single week, I committed to have them do the work. What followed was, by far, the worst retail experience of my life. One week came and went, and it was clear that work had not even begun on my car. Over the next four weeks I begged and pleaded for updates, to which I was constantly put off. The completion date continuously changed as, seemingly, the back office and front office were never on the same page or just decided to throw whatever date they felt like at me to get me to shut up. We made several trips directly to the office to ascertain if work had begun or not. On one of these trips, we found my Jeep outside, fully exposed to the elements on a day that a severe rain storm had just passed by. The level of negligence in this case was beyond belief. At three weeks, things escalated further when I was essentially told to stop playing this game and that I could come pick the car up at any time if I wanted to cut my losses (three weeks without my car) and move on. However, I decided to press for the work to begin and not have those three weeks of carpooling go to waste.I reached out to Maaco Corporate, and through my complaint a regional manager seemingly visited the shop to ensure work would finally begin and even oversee the job. To this day I m still not sure this manager actually did oversee the work, but work did begin on the car. After four weeks it was finally finished although it was painted a much lighter shade of silver than I had selected.Mere weeks later the paint started to chip off on the inside, exposing bright blue (the original paint color) underneath each spot. After my month of frustration, I decided that they must have cut corners by not sanding the interior of the car, but I made no complaint as the exterior seemed to be OK. However, after some more weeks passed, the paint job on the exterior of the car started to chip off in several places, and continues to do so to this day. With bright blue showing under each chipped area, I can see no way that the car was sanded, at all, prior to the paint job being performed. During our four weeks of communicating, I was assured multiple times that the car would be sanded. However, the sand job was either so shoddy, or not done at all, that the paint simply wont stick, effectively, to the car. This brings into severe question the durability of the overall paint job, and barring a complete redo, there is no real fix. I don t even have an easy method of acquiring and applying touchup paint to the effected areas. At one point I accidentally brushed my keys across the inner door seam and the silver paint slid off as easily as if I d wiped a drop of milk off the back of my hand. The other 30 spots on the car? Well, those are just chipping away on their own.I contacted the Better Business Bureau with a complaint. And I also reached out to Maaco Corporate in Charlotte. When Corporate finally followed up with me, they indicated that I d have to work with the shop directly to have my issues resolved. Really? You have no oversight, as a Corporate office, over your stores? OK. But, I did communicate with the shop directly and provide proof of the chipping paint via pictures. I also got assurances that their regional manager would reach out to me directly to discuss my concerns. Two weeks have passed and the shop has cut off all communications with me, the regional manager never contacted me, and I m seemingly out of $2000 as the paint job I paid for evaporates. I can t imagine that every Maaco shop will employ people such as this one does, but every shop should provide quality work. Whatever you do, don t trust this one to.

The guys did a fantastic job on painting my car. I originally had them paint it two years ago. I didn't get the most expensive alternative, so in a couple of years, the paint started to oxidize a little. The pain itself was good, but some oxidization was to be expected. I checked with them to see if they could do something about it, and they repainted the whole car, half the price, and it looks better now than it did the first time! Brian and Justin are great to work with and explain their processes well. I highly recommend them!

I had a great experience at Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting! Brian was extremely helpful when a car scratched up my bumper in a parking lot. He was very nice, worked very quickly, and made it look like new. I will definitely go back here again if I need any car repairs!

I strongly discourage you from doing business with the Durham branch of Maaco. If you take your car to them, you will have to deal with people that hold their job to very low standards. Beware that you will be dealing with people who are neither competent nor accountable. In a nutshell:- They painted my car in a color that does not match the original (factory) color.- Dirt in the paint, all sort of defects in the paint.- They broke my car key into pieces.- They scratched my rear windshield, moon roof, and the front lights.- They promised 3 days but it took almost 3 weeks (you never know what s going on with your car)- They don t pay attention to detail; they are incompetent in their job; and are not accountableI called the corporate office and they assigned somebody to talk to the shop. They spoke to Brian, and Brian told them that the job stands to Maaco s standards and there is nothing else they could do to satisfy me. These are their standards:- Paint customer s car in whatever color that is convenient and probably cheaper.- Don t pay attention to details (it is okay to scratch glasses and lights).- Throw car keys instead of handing it to each other (it is okay if you break the customer s car key).- If any damage occurs because of lack of competency or negligence (such as damaging the emblem), the customer has to pay for it (acceptable only in cash).- It is okay that you promise 3 days for delivery but you deliver 3 weeks later.- It is absolutely okay to lie to the customer and not keeping your word.
