The nicest, most honest people you will ever find in Durham or anywhere in the world. The dealership Hendrickson at Southpoint quoted me $1500 after charging me $275 for a diagnostic. Ingold installed the part free of charge. This is another kind of place with another kind of people. Thank you.

This is the only place to buy tires in the Triangle. Ingold has been around for 40 years and they offer the absolute best service and prices you ll find anywhere. I ve shopped all over town for tires and it was a waste of time because Ingold always came back with the best quality and prices, even much better than Costco, and it wasn t close. Not to mention, the service is outstanding. This team is completely trustworthy and reliable. If Ron Ingold and co. sold groceries or electronics or clothing, I d buy them from him too. He s just that good. Quit looking and come to Ingold. You won t regret it.

Just had my first experience with InGold Tire since my previous Mechanic sold their business. Karen Pearce(customer service) recommended their services and i am very thankful i took her advice! Beware they will lie to you and try upsell you on maintainence; replacement parts you DO NOT NEED. Can someone please recommend a reputable who won t take advantage of my sister who isn t knowledgeable about cars!?!

Honest, hardworking shop that truly cares about their customers and the work they do. I do not often leave reviews, but this place could not be better. They were slammed busy (for obviously good reasons) and told me 3 days likely. They finished my car a day early and handled everything, going above and beyond. Believe me, they deserve every good review they have gotten. 10/10 recommend

Highly recommend Ingold Tire Co! We had an overall great experience with them. I submitted an estimate request and received a call that same day. Rod left a message as I was unable to answer. I called back and he informed me the tires I had inquired about where not in stock at all. He offered a replacement and gave me a very good estimate. Price was very reasonable for all four Michelin tires. We scheduled an appointment and I dropped off my car. They were done with it in about 2 hours. Everyone was very nice inside the store and Rod helped all the way through and even showed us a rebate!

I wonder if any other people of color have had this experience: I had brake work done here but had no A/C refrigerant when I left. I asked them about it before I left the parking lot and they said they would charge me to fix it. Wondering if sabotaging and gaslighting are just part of their policy.

I don t often leave reviews unless they re negative. I ve lived in Durham not even a year and asked all around, did my research, and landed on Ingold for a very serious job. I have a 2000 Tahoe with almost 300K miles and have it as sentimental value. When I came in I had written a full page report of all previous repairs done to the vehicle and then outlined everything that needed fixed. Bart was responsible for taking care of my concerns and went above and beyond. When I say I had a lot of work I had ALOT. Completely replaced every part of the suspension, alignment, motor fan blower replaced, transmission serviced, brakes, rotors, flush, power steering basically told Bart whatever needs to be fixed let s do it as long as I m in good hands. Well he assured me two things one is time and two is price. The reviews aren t lying this shop is busy and for good reason. They treat people with respect and listen to your concerns as if it was their own vehicle. I told Bart I m in and out of town due to my career so take your absolute time with no rush as long as the job is done correctly and with compassion. He appreciated that as there shop is so busy with lesser work. Then on price he gave me a discount on parts because of all the work and labor I wanted done. When I tell you that when I got it back I couldn t believe it was the same vehicle in terms of ride. Kathy was great to help with payment over the phone since I was out of town. Bart went far and beyond and also the technician from Boston to talk to me about my concerns and hear his input was super amazing about the vehicle s health and longevity along with everything he was doing. These people are more then going through the motions of a job they are doing something they love and have earned a customer for life. Zero reason to go anywhere else and as always thank you Ingold I look forward to you keeping my Tahoe in tiptop shape all the way to 500K miles and beyond.

Quick friendly service. Did not lie to sell a tire ,when all I needed was a valve stem. Fixed my tire and I was going out of the shop in about 30 min. ,on my way home . I would take my business there every time if I lived in DURHAM .THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE GREAT AND FRIENDLY SERVICE YOU PROVIDE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Exceptional experience. I rolled up at around 12pm on a day they were due to close at 1pm, and the kind folks managed to fit in a tire repair �despite being fully booked. These people care about good service.Hat tip to Bart, the guy on the front desk who went out of his way to make sure I was able to get a good service.

needed to change my tires for the first time since I ve gotten my car and after a lot of research online narrowed it down to Michelin crossclimate 2s, continental purecontact LS and Goodyear assurance weather ready. Got quotes from a couple places and Ingold got back to me first with the lowest prices! Rod called me and discussed the total costs including balancing, etc. with rebates, warranty coverage and more for these 3 options so that I could get the best idea for my situation. we decided on the crossclimate 2s and he was able to get me a rebate that made them cheaper than the other two!

I started going here about 5 months ago. And all of my experience has been great! They're affordable, the people are real and noncorporate, and I always feel welcome. Admittedly, I don't know much about cars, but I do know they've worked to find me the most affordable things when I compare prices to online averages.I also don't usually write reviews, but I am for Ingold because I want to ensure they always stay open!I'd add a meme of Dean from Supernatural giving a thumbs up, but Chrome won't let me.

The best of the best. Excellent service at reasonable prices. They won't try to oversell unnecessary repairs and they seem to be very thorough with their work. I've never had car trouble in the 14 years I've been bringing my vehicles to them. Ideal car repair experience all around.

Ingold has always been great. They work quickly, they're transparent about what they can and can't do, their prices are reasonable, and their staff are always polite and helpful. I don't usually feel compelled to leave reviews, but I really do think they're doing great work.

I came to Ingold for the first time for car maintenance today. I arrived there at 7:30 am and found several people were already there, so I suppose that's the top choice of many people around. The clerk at the service desk is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was told by the dealer that I needed to do brake fluid change and transmission oil change and so forth. But the clerk at Ingold told me I needn't because of the very low mileage. Really appreciate his honesty. I did oil & filter change, tire rotations and balancing, state inspections and other service (they have a complete checklist including tire pressure, fluid inspections and so on, so don't worry). They promised I could have my car ready between 2 - 3 pm, and I was notified that it was done at 1 pm. Very reasonable price, no overcharge. Good to come back and see the clerk again, I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I remember the first time I went to Ingold Tire. I remember telling the clerk what the dealership had told me needed to be done, and Ingold replied, "Well I'm not saying anything until I see it for myself." I knew then I had found a good mechanic. But now, over two years later, I know I have a GREAT mechanic. It's not just the great service they provide with friendly staff, updates and reasonable costs but it's also the quality of the work they provide. When the problem is fixed, my car runs better than before the problem started.You can trust Ingold to do a great job on your car.

I cannot recommend Ingold highly enough. I went in for a leaking tire that I discovered at the beginning of a really stressful day. Not only did Bart and his team fit me in to a really busy schedule, they did so with compassion and care. Ingold treats you fairly and professionally. I've found my service center, and encourage anyone looking for auto services to do the same. They've been in business for 87 years for a reason and are a community pillar.

I had high hopes after a friend recommended this shop but I'm afraid I had a experience that did not match theirs.When I brought my car in they did not seem interested in asking any questions about what the issue was that I was hoping to solve. I figured hey, maybe they can solve it easier themselves than trying to get information from a customer. I received a call a couple hours later about a completely different issue that I had not mentioned, and when I inquired about my original issue they seemed to have done no real investigative work into that.They declined to service my car because the undercarriage was rusty (9 year old car from up north). I can understand not wanting to work with rust, but they couldn't even direct me to someone who would. On the whole, I wasted my time dropping off and picking up my car to be examined for what seems like no more than a few minutes by the staff. I am thankful they did not try to charge me for any service, but that's about all the positive I can say about my experience here.Overall I would say that what really troubled me is I brought in my car for an issue that could have significant safety implications. The staff here did not seem to care enough to evaluate it, and instead saw rust and ran the other way.

This is the type of place that's been around 70 years and earned every positive review and returned customer. They're friendly, honest, straightforward and reasonably priced. Two years ago I bought new tires for my car and was pleased with my service. Recently, one tire started leaking and I came in to get it fixed on a morning where they had a lot of customers. They still got my service request processed quickly and were done an hour sooner than predicted. Thank you!

More than impressed and could not be more satisfied with my experience. I m in the area for the week as my sister is receiving a lung transplant at Duke. I drove my Camry down from Maine and I was in serious need of new tires and oil before my return trip. I called Ingold as I found them on google and they had solid reviews and were near by. I was put in touch with Bart and I could not be happier. On top of a very fair price on tires Bart came across not only very professional but helpful above and beyond expectations. He was incredibly genuine and made me feel at ease with the whole process which was huge given the circumstances of my visit here. I was in and out in a timely manner and I was given a great explanation of the coverages etc and they even filled my rebate form, envelope and put a stamp on it. Highly recommend these guys!!!

Always so kind and honest mechanics. They know you by name too. I came to get some work done, a corroded battery terminal. Google said it would need to be replaced. But they scrubbed it for free. And took a look at my air filter that Nissan said needed to be replaced they said it looked brand new. Lol. I love InGold.This is the review I wrote 4 years ago! Been coming here for four years!!:I came to get a second opinion on an estimate the Triple A gave me. They took a look, called me an hour later (Triple A took 4 hours to give me the estimate), and stated that half the items on the list from Triple A were not necessary. Plus the items that were necessary were a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Plus the guys are so friendly. I came here in the first place because the reviews were great, and I want to second that! Thanks guys.

I had a great experience at Ingold. I feel good about the price we paid for our 4 new tires, and when I remembered my broken tail light, they replaced that quickly for free. Our tires came with a rebate, and they filled out the paperwork and handed it to me in a stamped, addressed envelope to make it effortless to redeem. Friendly, high-quality service from a wonderful, local business.

I went into Ingold absolutely sure I needed a new battery.Bart said they could find nothing wrong with my battery or electrical system and thought I may have left the dome light or some other light on accidentally. I am sure now that Bart is correct.Now you know there are a lot of shops that would have sold me a battery that I didn't need. They did not do this. I appreciate their honesty and candor.Plus they are genuinely friendly, approachable folks. I live just a couple blocks from the shop and feel very lucky to have such a great team of mechanics within walking distance.

Based on a recommendation I tried out this place out. They replaced my taillight bulb during my state inspection without notifying me (and of course charge me or parts+labor). When I requested that in the future they notify me about work being done on my car before charging me, they blew up and literally told me to never come back. I understand you could have failed the vehicle rather than replace the bulb, but billing customers for work they did not authorize is inexcusable (and also illegal.) Two stars because they refunded the charge.

Well, I got new tires and an alignment. I want to say that , I ve been to a plethora of automobile shops in my lifetime. This one is the best! You won t be disappointed. Service is super and polite and their level of professionalism is on par.
