Bob, Chad, and Mark have forgotten more about classic VW's than I will ever know. They always have the parts you need or can get them, but with the experience to know what is good and what is not good for your car. Their labor rates are frankly too low for their experience, but Bob insists on being affordable, and I know that is appreciated by the VW community. Herbie himself even comes here. These guys are the absolute best. They have made my '72 beetle SING.Their labor costs are reasonable, they have every part you could ever need in stock, and they explained every single bit of work to me in detail. Always a great help with my 1972 VW Bug. I had an issue and just drove in and they fixed it on the spot and they were not going to charge me - took them about 20minutes! Courteous and always explain clearly what is needed and what is not. They are not the must be all original type of snobs - they want the car to run well and keep running as it is my daily driver. Would suggest this to anyone who has a VW. I do some of the easier stuff myself and they are quick with suggestions and have many parts in stock.

Bob and Chad Hicks are the best in the business. Always there to help with parts, service and advice.I have learned my lesson that you should always go there first so you get the right part at the right price the first time.If the repair is something I don t want to tackle myself, I know it will be done right the first time.

Broke down on our way from Apex to the Outer Banks. Hady 1970 bus towed there and this shop was excellent! Bob Hicks and his mechanic, Mark were very thorough in fixing the problem. I would highly recommend them.

I wish they still worked on cars other than the bug. Guy interests and bugs are everybody's true love but they're still the best place to go to find out information about pwc's and now they recommend Lonnie just off of Hillsborough Road Waffle House. He is not a great man that loves Volkswagens

Hicks doesn't work on later model buses (I have a 77) but they are a great source for some of the parts I need. They are very friendly and give me a good price on the parts.

Crooks. Gave me a labor estimate almost 6 times higher than another shop. When I decided to go elsewhere, Mr. Hicks tried to hold my car ransom for a $160 "diagnostic" fee, having done no actual work on the vehicle. When I told him I was not going to pay $160 for an estimate (the part that needed replacing was only $110), he was verbally abusive and eventually told me to get the "f---ing car off his property," which he would not release until the following morning when he called me and told me again to remove it from his land, now!

This is a place to go for all your vw needs....had a charging problem...they solved it ....highly recommended ...i seen other reviews where people was talking about high bills or the price but you get what you pay for...good service!!!....you want back woods and cheap prices go to wagen works in four oaks....guarantee you'll come out with more problems than what you had.

I also received an very over blown bill. And had a couple of issues leaving that I didn't have when I took the car. They also changed out every 1157 Bulb in my car plus stated that accelerator pedal needed adjustment which neither were services that were required nor were they asked for by me
