Edit****Had a touchscreen radio installed in my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. I feel as if my car was in good hands with this shop. Everything turned out especially well. The team even offered to replace a piece of worn trim work on the dash when the part comes in on my end after the original job was finished. (I couldn t find the part readily available before job was being done for then to replace then.) I m enjoying my stereo! Great team, real family like which is appreciated more nowadays. Didn t feel Like I was being hassled at all.. (previously had a shop in Oxford try to force me into paying for a back up cam when I didn t want one.) Obviously not the case here. Thanks my guys! Edit begins here*After having the radio in my car for about eight months, it began to malfunction intermediately, but often. After talking to the owner, it seems that the type of radio I chose has had multiple issues since it came out. I assume that they purchased a bunch of units and had no other option, but to continue selling them out, knowing that they were faulty. They agreed to replace the radio under the one year warranty and I was happy for a while until 6-8 months later the second radio began to malfunction in the very same way. Upon calling the owner, my one year warranty had ended and they said that they would look into what they could do. They ended up sending the radio off to the manufacturer but couldn t get a resolution through them. Now I m out of $800 as they offered me no other solutions no partial refund on the labor not zip things like this happen to products, especially electronics, however, when a business knows that a product is faulty and continues to sell it out to cover their misfortune then I call that being pretty shady. I never try to tear down a business, but simply provide my own experiences a business should never make their customers eat the loss of something like this.

Had everything installed and purchased here. They built a custom box for two sundown x 12' custom speaker panels for my front doors and a custome rear deck as well. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. This store has my business for life!

I can't believe this place is in business. They marred up my dash prying out an auxiliary button. Then super glued USB ports onto the console of a brand new vehicle. Seriously. Been trying to reach the owner by phone for days. No one seems to answer the phone. I honestly have never seen "professional" car audio work this shoddy. It wasn't inexpensive either.

They helped get my truck s sound just right. I went in because I had blown two kicker hideaway subs in a row. They tried to get the one I had in there working which I really appreciated. They didn t try to sell me a new one, but when I asked about a replacement they were ready with a great option. I really felt like they were not trying to sell me their most expensive option, or trying to make it ridiculously loud. They were focused on getting just what I needed to maximize the quality of sound in my truck. I couldn t be happier. Everyone there was super friendly and I will definitely look to them when I want more work done. Highly recommend.

Been doing audio in my vehicles almost two decades. This is the first shop that I haven't felt like they are trying to take advantage of you. Prices are right on the money to what they should be without the 100% markup of other shops. Bought a amp had a issue. Not only did they take back the amp for repairs, they advised me that they might be able to upgrade it to the new one and, he gave me a loner to use in the meantime. Will not ever use or buy from anyone ells. They need to get those decals done for me so I can rock the name on the ride. They deserve it......

Called around asking for window tint. Monty was able to get me in same day for my 2022 Acura Mdx. Clean work and worth the money for quality film.

Come here for great service and integrity! Came by to have them check out whether I could have a new system put in my Pathfinder. Dude was honest, helpful, gave awesome advice and didn t charge me a cent. A lot of places would go ahead and do the work and let you overpay. I ll be back here if I ever need anything else!

Great selection of brands, tons of product in stock, and no price gouging. They're authorized resellers for this equipment so they can order stuff you can't find online.Friendly staff who isn't disrespectful even if you're small potatoes really makes it. This place will be my go-to from now on.

I wanted to give a honest review with our first experience at Extreme Audio. I enjoyed the professionalism and knowledge of this business. Very friendly and got the job done that we showed up for and they took me right in for the install. The system sounds great also. I would have rated 5 star but because of the hours it took to do it all and the wait I gave 4 star. If Montie would please, Keep my factory sub for me so I can pick it up next Saturday. They forgot to give it back for me to take home and I need it to put back in incase I ever sell please. I will be returning for future sensor install because you guys know your stuff. Thanks again.

This is my go to shop for any of my car audio needs. The owner is very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He installed a radio into my car in a very timely manner and for a really good price. i would highly encourage anyone to come here for any audio needs you may have. i will definitely be returning to install a full sound system very soon. 10/5 stars!

I had the most positive experience with Thomas Fuller at Extreme Car Audio! He immediately found what I needed and got me in to install it the same day. The product and the labor was incredibly reasonably priced and their work was flawless! So grateful for their professionalism!

Great customer service and awesome staff. I purchased 2 l7 kickers an got serviced in a timely manner. Ran into some complication an had to bring them back to be swapped out. They gave me an even swap, and installed on the spot was in and out, satisfied and smiling in less than 30 mins. Preciate the great work and effort to compromise.

So far I'm not satisfied so far had to take back still waiting on verdict.(Update).... After they addressed the issue its actually louder than it was before. They told me the subwoofer that I had in the box was coming loose and had to use better screws... so far so good.

This place and the people that work there are simply amazing. I took my 2005 4runner there for a new cd player. Monty recommended that I get a double din for my car and that it would look more factory, I wanted my steering wheel control to stay functional with the aftermarket radio and another place told me that it would not work no matter what I do. The guys at extreme told me all I needed was a steering wheel control interface and that it would work fine with the pioneer double din I was getting. The work was done flawlessly and my speakers in the car sound twice as good with the new radio I purchased. This place will be getting my business and my recommendation from now on!

I called 3 other places before talking to Thomas, and the other guys were going to be 180-270 to install a simple receiver from crutchfield. Thomas did it in 30 minutes for 70 bucks. And he saw that my AC filter wasn't in place and reinstalled it for free - no wonder I have been sneezing so much. Fast, considerate and professional. I know where I am going from now on

Happy Customer Back again . .UPDATE FEBRUARY 9th 2017...Today I am taking my time to write the review , there prices are real good compared to , all the other audio shops around Durham and Raleigh area, I have done 3 different set ups from them . Customer service is 5star and more. The lady is very nice and friendly. Hopefully I will be upgrading to Sundown 12 Zv4. With a Sundown 1500d amp... in a week ...... Great friendly installers .... Money well spent with confidence. 10/10 on the scale .....$ha

Good place, not that pricey and knowledgeable. Able to get the work done quickly and professionally. Although they did claim my alarm had been installed with some features that it is lacking. So I will have to go back to the store and see if I can get that fixed.

I had a major install done here. I needed 3 Kicker L7 15s put in, in a ported box, 4 amps, two front speakers (and then an extra set of tweeters up front), two rear speakers, and a head unit. Another place told me they weren't sure they could port my box and that it "wouldn't make a big difference." Of course it makes a big difference. When I first talked to Thomas and told him what I wanted, and that another place wasn't sure it could be done, he said, "I can do it." That was all it took for me. He has been doing this a long time. He customized everything for me. He built the most beautiful speaker box I have ever seen. The craftsmanship is truly impressive. The amp board is super sick. He took his time, and he kept me updated through the install. I was really impressed. I refer all my friends there, because anyone can put in a set of subs. Anyone can build a box. But there's a lot more to it than that. That guy got me 6 cubic feet of air space after speaker displacement. He's a whiz. Why go to Best Buy and pay more for something that is, at best, the same. He has over 20 years of experience. And if that's not enough to convince you, come stick your face in my car, because that mofo DROPS.

I was referred to Extreme Audio by my friend Uno of NueLine Entertainment. The staff here is very nice, lot of product in stock, helped me find what I will be needing for my vehicle, was upfront, honest and professional, and they know their products. The guys who assisted, Monty and Joey was awesome!Extreme Audio you will be getting my and my family s business moving forward!

STAY AWAY. Don't be fooled by positive reviews. They are FAKE.Shady business. The "technician" had no clues what he was doing. He ruined my car.The owner (Muslim woman) was very rude and even threatening when I went back to complain. Basically kicked me out.Save your time, money and nerves and go to a reputable business.

Extreme Car Audio installed a radio and speakers in my Jeep CJ7. Prior to the install we discussed not cutting the dash to install the speakers. They cut the dash and installed speaker covers over top. At pickup there was not point in complaining because the dash was cut and there was not going back.After 4 months the radio stopped working. I took the jeep by for them to look at. They confirmed the radio was broken and would need replaced. They stated because the radio had probably gotten wet (driving the jeep without a top in the rain) they would not replace it. Prior to install we discussed the possibility of the radio getting wet because the Jeep doesn't have a top and it's a Jeep, they get wet and muddy. They said with the radio they were going install it wouldn't be an issue.I'd suggest looking elsewhere for your car audio needs.

They installed a radio for my daughter's car in less than 30 minutes, the guy who installed the same is a very strong looking dude with the most meek personality ever. The owner, a very sweet woman born in Palestine treats everyone like family.

You get what you pay for. They installed my battery on the wrong fuse killing my battery. And there s a short in my amp. The shortage was finally found after the 3rd or 4th time there. Now i will be taking my vehicle back in the morning, because i was stranded on the road after they screwed my amp down in my car to my spare tire. Yes they claimed my speaker problems was due to my amp not being properly secured in my trunk so their response was to screw the amp down in my trunk....and they did it through my tire.
