I was down here in North Carolina and started to stay at this hotel. The individuals at the front desk are amazing and assisted me with any questions I had about the hotel and resort. This Hampton Inn is specifically a great location and had a great view of the beach even with there being a dune restricting the view that you can see. The hotel room was absolutely wonderful. The beds did not have a single tear, or cigarette burn. The pillows were clean and no stains. The mattress was spotless. The bed got me a good night of sleep and I enjoyed it quite well. The bathroom was absolutely wonderful as well, common necessities are provided by the hotel by stay, which was great. The pressure of water is good and warms up quick in the shower. The pool was great and was perfect and the chlorine levels couldn t have been better. The balcony view was amazing. Housekeeping did an exceptional job on making my room amazing and great. The breakfast was great and fresh and warm and delicious. I would like to thank every one on the team of this Hampton by Hilton, you guys killed it.

Jimmy at the front desk was wonderful! He gave me some recommendations on where to eat. Beautiful hotel with a lazy river and outdoor pool. The hotel is water front but it s nice and secluded from everyone. There are large sand dunes that sit in front, so make sure if you want to see the ocean reserve a room on the third floor.

Our first time staying at this hotel and when we checked in we were told our room would not be ready for quite some time, mind you it was after check in time. My husband called Hilton rewards and made a complaint. The customer service agent called hotel and when she came back on the line she said our room was ready. Interesting how that happened so quickly. We returned to hotel 5mins later and our room was ready. Our room was clean, and comfortable. We stayed on the 3rd floor with pool/ocean view. The breakfast area was clean and the food was good.

Overall the hotel is good. The room was acceptable but the ocean view is partially blocked by the sand dunes. I liked the sofa and the coffee table, the bed was fine. The TV was good and the bathroom was clean with plenty of soap, lotion and towels. There was housekeeping each day with fresh towels. The breakfast had a good selection of food. There are four pools, with one heated pool inside. There are lots of dogs and kids, which generates some extra disturbances. Overall my stay was good, however, the internet connection is poor. I had to spend over an hour of my time with their AT&T IT people located in India trying to connect my phone and laptop. The front desk was not much help, you are given a printed card with a telephone number to call if you have issues, so this must be a known problem. It was frustrating and time consuming. I stayed in room 322.

This has been one of our best stays at a Hampton Inn, and we stay mostly at Hampton Inns when we stay at a hotel. Our room, 244, is one of the best for seeing the sunrise. I imagine the one above is better, also costlier. The hotel is very clean. The included breakfast, is plentiful and varied daily. There are chocolate chip cookies in the early evening, a plus. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff has been helpful, efficient and friendly. Staying here made our visit to OBX, a great experience.

I paid for a room with pool and beach-front view. My beach view was a pile of sand and should've had an accurate description of a partial beach-front view. The room advertisement was misleading, and I reserved directly from the hotel website. Now I know why there were no pictures of the beach view in the room pictures. Lesson learned. There was also no beach access. The water was all the way up to the sand barrier, so when you get to the end of the dock, you literally can jump in the ocean. There was no room to lay out on the beach without lying directly in ocean. The best thing about our stay was the breakfast. The hot chocolate was nice too, but the hot water container in the lobby was always empty.I don't think we will stay there again.

I agree with another recent reviewer that the off season mid week rates are a fantastic value. We came to celebrate our 4th anniversary which happened to be on a Thursday and brought our 1 year old along. The three of us had a great time exploring the area even though it's February. Our room was immaculate. I was very surprised how clean our room and bathroom were. The staff was friendly and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. This hotel was clearly updated recently and is very well maintained. Our only issue was the lack of smart TVs (not a huge deal because the free WiFi was fast enough for streaming on my laptop) and the TV remote was disgusting (I didn't tell the staff about this but I believe they would have helped out if I did). Neither issue is worth deducting a star from this review. We will most definitely be back.Rooms: Clean and updated.Nearby activities: There's plenty to do and see in the off seasonFood & drinks: Breakfast was great - something for everyone.

On check-in we were greeted by someone who was less than friendly, told us the room wasn't ready and to come back in two hours. We did that, but then we were told two hours later that the room still wasn't ready. I could have handled that if the first person hadn't of been so rude and actually told someone to ensure the room was ready. The noise from outside our room is insane, I don't know how anyone sleeps here, the beds, were average at best and we have stayed in some pretty average hotels. We paid a premium for a good experience and this wasn't it. It's 10:23 and there is a loud sawing sound coming from somewhere, loud enough to make sleeping look unlikely!Rooms: Average beds, dirty floors, cleaning staff didn't speak English when we asked someone for something!

This hotel is perfect. It s secluded and ocean front. Very clean and breakfast each day was great. The pool and hot tub were nice clean and warm each day. Not in a busy area but close enough where you can take a short drive to get what you need.Only thing we had a minor issue with was housekeeping we asked for two days to restock and switch out bed sheets and finally they did.Ken ( I believe was his name ) was super friendly.* pet friendly was a huge plus. Wish there was dog treats nightly like there was cookies for the humansRooms: They have a small wet bar in our room which is just what we needed. The beds were comfy and very clean

We stayed one night at the Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks while on an off-season road trip up the Outer Banks before Christmas 2023. Let me say that if there wasn t a Hampton Inn sign out front you wouldn t know this was a hotel. It is so much unlike other Hampton Inns I ve stayed at in a good way. The hotel has a more beachy and elegant touch. Located on the protected side of an Outer Banks sand dune, this hotel has two swimming pools, a hot tub, and easy beach access. Our partial ocean view room had a small balcony and was spacious. The off-season price was very nice. My only complaint is not a criticism of the hotel but the closest restaurant open for dinner was nearly 10 miles away. It was Uncle Ike s that the hotel desk person recommended and it was a good meal. I would stay here again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is good. Typical waffle iron, potatoes, eggs and either sausage or bacon as well as bread and pasty etc. very nice hotel. It s not in the center off Williamsburg, but just a few minutes off the main drag. We had no complaints and would definitely stay here again. They didn t have any vending machines, but do have a snack bar next to the concierge desk in the main lobby where you can buy sodas, waters, teas and snacks as well as a few toiletry items.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained hotel on the Outer Banks. We went off-season and paid extra for an ocean view room. MAKE SURE IF YOU DO IT. YOU GET A ROOM ON THE THIRD FLOOR! OUR OCEAN VIEW ROOM ON THE SECOND FLOOR HAD A VIEW OF THE BACKSIDE OF SANDBANK. If you looked to the sides, you could see the ocean so legally they were correct.Check in went OK but the staff seemed a little sleepy and not exceptionally welcoming. They were not bad in anyway just not great.Rooms: The rooms were clean and nice.Nearby activities: You are on the Outer Banks, so you have direct access to a beach. This hotel is just a short way from where the tours take you to see the famous wild horses.Safety: We felt very safe in the hotel was secure at all times with exterior doors, locked needing a keyWalkability: Lots of areas to be able to walk along the beach would not walk into town from here because the road can be treacherous.

We booked to stay here for a couple of days. We had a third floor room and it overlooked the dunes and the sea , it was stunning. The hotel is typical Hampton and is clean and tidy.Personally I felt the rooms are looking a little tired and they could do with a freshen up. They are perfectly good though and the beds are comfy.Breakfast is well appointed and there is plenty of parking available.Housekeeping is every 2 days.

Nice stay. Breakfast was basic, nothing noteworthy, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for sun and surf. Indoor pool was a nice surprise, large and clean. Boardwalk to the beach is not an easy walk as it is covered in sand (almost as high as the dune next to it) and difficult to traverse.Nearby activities: Beach path is not an easy walk this time of year. Boardwalk was covered in sand at least 3 feet high.

Not sure why the check in clerk wanted me to give my full address, I thought just the first line would have been enough. The hotel is right by the beach so perfect if you book a sea view room. It's very dated but it's clean, so could do with a big paint over. The staff are friendly. There is a good selection for breakfast. All in all it worth a couple of nights stay.

Service is an issue at this location. We've had to request to clean our room several times.Update: After contacting management and being promised that our rooms would get cleaned, the hotel failed to perform (again). This is a full 4 days without service. I'd advise families with small children to avoid this hotel, especially if there are allergy or health concerns.Noteworthy details: Avoid. No regards for cleanliness or service.

A great hotel in the off season, located in a quiet area. Able to capture a great sunrise right out the back area of the hotel. I will come back again in the future. Kudos to the staff for their work.Food & drinks: Terrific breakfast set up with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, assorted fruits (in their peels), pastries, yogurts, cereals, juices, teas, and coffee.

Our family stayed over Labor Day weekend. We normally rent in the OBX but didn't have a week to stay. We weren't sure what to expect for our stay and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and quick to respond to any needs. Our room was on the first floor and had a patio that made it convenient to walk our dog. We enjoyed lunch on our patio each day. The hotel has a total of 4 pools and a hot tub. One pool and the hot tub are indoors. Outdoor there is a kiddie pool, regular pool, and lazy river with tubes. There was plenty of seating and tables with umbrellas for enjoying meals outside. The beach was a very easy walk and never crowded even when the hotel was full. We loved that convenience with little kids and carrying our gear, it made for easy beach days. The hotel offered a full breakfast every day and the options did change daily which was nice. They also offered coffee, tea, and hot cocoa all day and warm chocolate chip cookies each night. We would definitely stay again!

Hampton Inn CorollaALL Housekeeping staff were wonderful, especially Miama and Nate.Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating and always greeted us with a smile and hello.Breakfast basic but good, especially the apple cinnamon waffles, fresh fruit, and scrambled eggs.Free washer and dryer on each floor.Paper products (free) always available to pick up beside front desk.Coffee all day and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies every evening. The hotel is oceanfront and there is a beach service where umbrellas and chairs can be rented and charged to your hotel room.Rooms- a little tired and outdated but very clean.Hallways - carpet has a bit of wear, but always clean and smelled fresh.Outside- pools were great, BUT outside areas including outdoor tables and ground/concrete around sitting areas all very dirty.Noticed very old Cigarette butts on ground and not cleaned up all week. Weeds/grass growing in cracks on pool deck (lazy river side).I m not sure why the lack of cleaning of the outdoor areas- this was the most obvious and biggest complaint I have with this hotel and the reason I could not give it 5 stars.Overall, we would stay here again. I feel we got a great value for what we paid.

Hampton Inn & Suites has a private, majestic feel to it being slightly hidden by trees and nestled in behind beautiful sand dunes. The hotel has plenty of accommodations, spacious pools to play and relax, a beautiful velvety sandy beach to spend time rejuvenating your soul. The hotel itself is beautiful, spacious and honors the ocean with a beautifully displayed wall of shells as you walk in. This is a great location. I usually do not prefer Hampton Inn. This location is right on the beach. The first time we stayed in a room facing the pool with a partial view of the ocean. This time we had a view of the new houses on the side of the property and the dunes. The rooms are a good size with a patio. The beach is right out back. Dogs are allowed in the hotel and on the beach. Great place for kids.

Excellent!! Helen & Lisa were nothing short of phenomenal in every way! From the moment of check-in to our last night. Our room was very clean and roomy. The hotel always smelled so clean! The pool area was nice and clean as well. The walkover to the beach was very convenient. Overall I would give 6 stars if we could. The only negative I can find is the hotel does need some updating, but did not impact our stay at all.

As a 20+ year Hilton Honors member, I was disappointed in how shabby and run-down this Hampton is. The location is great, with a short walk to the ocean behind the hotel. The worst part was shortly after our first night, we discovered sand ants running around all over the place. We informed management. They sent someone to spray for the ants and took away the bedding. The didn't follow up. I asked twice more for them to get new bedding and they said they would get right on it, but nothing happened. On the fourth try, it was the manager of Guest Services I spoke to and she had no idea there was a problem. She took care of it herself, so kudos to the Guest Services Mgr, but that shouldn't have happened.

Great location and view from our partial ocean view room! However, the room was not very clean and the tub was clogged and never fixed during our stay. The biggest issue we had was the fact that the walkway/stairs to the beach were completely covered in sand, making it a very uneven and difficult surface to walk on. That caused my child to fall multiple times, injuring herself one of those times.

Pros: free breakfast, swivel TVs, several pools, on the beach, not very crowded, friendly/helpful staff.Cons: upkeep of hotel- rust throughout the room, shower curtain rod was loose and hanging off, soap bottles bolted to the walls were hanging off, screen to the sliding door had a missing wheel and was impossible to open without removing the entire screen, walkway to beach was entirely covered in sand, even the benches (I presume from previous storms), which made walking on it difficult and slick/dangerous on the steps especially for older folks. Room wasn t entirely dirty but it didn t look clean either, we sanitized/cleaned it ourselves. Housekeeping would come in to dump trash and replenish towels but not change sheets or necessarily clean. We didn t mind about the view so we chose a non-ocean view room but were placed over about 10-12 HVAC units that ran nonstop and made it impossible to even relax on the balcony. Breakfast was free but mediocre at best, pretty bland. The rooms are also very outdated. It s an OK place if you re just looking for a place to lay your head down and aren t concerned with upkeep, appearance, or cleanliness. We ended up leaving a day early and won t be back.
