I had a fantastic experience with Tire Doctor during my recent car inspection. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. Not only was their service quick and efficient, but they also showed a remarkable level of care towards their customers. The inspection was done promptly, and I was impressed by their attention to detail. Moreover, the price was fair for the excellent service they provided. I highly recommend Tire Doctor for anyone seeking a trustworthy place for car maintenance or inspections!

Just left here after getting a much needed oil change and instantly had to leave a review. This spot is a gem to the town of Cornelius, has great employees who don t make you feel like a burden, take care of you as quickly as they can, and don t waste your time with upselling other products. Definitely locked in a client after my experience today. Thank you, Tire Doctor!

I NEVER write reviews as I believe they are a waste of time but I m feed up. WORST TIRE SHOP I have ever been to in my life. If I didn t have to get home to my son I would have rather slept in my car than pay them my hard earned money when all they do is OVERCHARGE, I literally watched them take my car in at 4:00PM and finish at 4:25PM. I had a simple tire replacement (ONE) to my spare. They charged me 150$ for just that and when I looked at my receipt it said 1 hour of work was done. Not only did I wait up there all day and watch customers who come in AFTER ME leave before me they waited till closing to work on my car. I m very disappointed in this company taking advantage of an out of towner. I will never be back so help me god. -10/5 STARS They are lucky I was calm and having a great day

There is no way this place is rated as high as it is accurately. Walked in on my lunch break to ask of they could fit me in for a quick inspection. Was rudely told yes. Felt like a total inconvenience. After waiting about 25 mins, my car never moved. All the while, 3 of the staff members sat up front discussing personal affairs for everyone in the waiting room to overhear. I told the extremely unprofessional girl at the front I couldn't wait any longer and needed to leave. She doesn't speak a word back, walked outside, slams the door then sends the manager back to hand me the keys. Not one word spoken from him either. If you didn't have time, that's completely fine, just be up front. Worst customer service I've encountered in a long time.

Went in for a simple oil change. Came out with a $400 recommendation for 2 new tires, 2 miles down the road discovered they had applied my emergency break & had NOT released it. I checked the amount of oil they had added when replacing the oil. It was 1 quart short.!! After reading reviews, I'm going to have it checked further to see if they even changed the oil OR filter! I had asked them to also grease the fittings. They said it didn't need it & they didn't know how. These things would NEVER have happened if Nigel still ownd it! My advice..NEVER go to Tire Doctor!!Reviews show they seem to prey on older adults, too!

This might be a little lengthy but it s warranted.So I came into Tire Doctor for an oil change and a tire rotation on a Friday based on a recommendation.They did the oil change and informed me that my two front tires weren t safe for rotating. They said they could get the tires the next day delivered.The next day, I get a call at 8:30AM informing me that they had been delivered. So, I go in but I have a two year old with me. I ve got to say, I was pleasantly happy with how every body in there talked with him and even did fist bumps with him. It was nice to see how they treated their customers, no matter how small. They even got two people to work on our car together so that we weren t sitting there longer. That little gesture meant a lot to someone with a tired two year old. (One gentlemen even offered to make me a cup of coffee)When I went to pay, I was surprised yet again. They had quoted me the day before but I thought it was just for the tires. I didn t realize it was the actual total including all the parts and labor. When they tell you price, it s what they mean. They didn t try to sell me on something my vehicle might have needed.I will absolutely be going to them from now on. Not only did they do an amazing job at a very fair price, but their customer service was above and beyond. Thank you guys so much!!

Luckily, I went to the Tire Doctor on Main Street in Cornelius after Mavis Tire in Cornelius told me that my tire could not be repaired and I had not choice but to purchase a new $296 tire due to a puncture. Patrick at the Tire Doctor plugged the tire in less than 20 minutes and I was on my way for less than $30. The entire Tire Doctor staff was friendly and I certainly appreciated their honesty and the fact that they did not try to take advantage of my situation.

I went there to get my new wheels (with tires) mounted to my truck, using my original sensors. Their price was the highest (out of three) to begin with, but my preferred shop in Mooresville is two weeks out. i wanted to wait, but I got a small leak and I wanted to support a local small business instead of a chain.It was a bad decision. Took twice as long, they charged more than 20% more than I was told on the phone for unknown reason, and they mixed my sensors on my wheels. They got one right out of the four. I specifically asked to be sure to place the sensors back how they were, although one would think a tire shop should know.They were going to let me leave without a valve cap, not to mention they never bothered to place the original ones back, maybe they were there for a reason, and it is important for some Eventually, I decided to switch my new wheels myself in my garage to match my sensors, to save the unknown waiting and frustration.I paid over $200 for this nonsense.It is very annoying that a tire shop can t get something this simple right.I would not recommend this place and obviously I will not go back.

Stopped in today to have a tire swapped out. Staff were friendly and able to make it happen fairly quickly. I will definitely be back in the future!

Stopped at this tire shop after getting a flat tire on the highway. First off we could hear the workers screaming and laughing at each other while we waited to get our car looked at. Once they took our car I looked outside to see the repair men joking and pretending to run each other over with another persons car. They then patched the hole on the tire and I asked the lady at the front desk what was wrong with the tire and she just said there was a hole and gave me no explanation. We drove back home to Winston Salem and when we got back the tire was flat again and we had to get it looked at. Turns out there were three other nail holes and a slit in the tire that they never found and we had to buy 2 new tires because they didn t check the rest of the tire. Will not be going back here and would not recommend to anyone.

Drove 12 hrs from upstate NY and had an issue when I got down here. Showed up at their shop before they were open. Was welcomed and handled between regularly scheduled customers. Issue was remedied quick and inexpensive. Having managed a garage myself for 15 years , I m normally disappointed with customer service in these kind of places but every one there was awesome.

Updated Oct 13, 2023:Cannot recommend based on previous visit several years ago.Owner seemed upset somehow that another patron and I were discussing the magnificence of Dr. Maya Angelou while we waited for our vehicles.Interjected with a story about his great grand relative who had been a ship's captain during the slave trade and how the log this person kept detailed how Africans participated in the slave trade by selling other Africans.Not at all relevant to the conversation and no documentation provided to show the veracity of his babble but it seemed to make him feel better somehow.Currently we only drop by this location to procure delicious eats from the food truck in the parking lot.

I used to come here often when doc used to own it. The new owners can t seem to wrap their heads around the fact people don t want to wait an hour and half for a plug on a tire. I understand it s first come first serve. But the time they spent telling me I had to wait they could ve had it done.

On 6/7/23, I had both driver's side tires replaced there. On 6/21/23, the back driver's side tire had a blowout on the highway. Speaking with the owner, Ben Carson, was completely discouraging & insulting. He asked me "How could be be sure that I hadn't driven over a screw? Were my tires on the passenger side worn? Was my alignment out of balance?" Further, he has not returned any of my calls since. Speaking with a number of tire knowledgeable men, they confirmed that none of those things could have caused a blowout. Their guesses we're dry rot, a defective tire or that the tire had been put on too tightly. The concensus was the latter. Feeling I should get my money back or have a new tire put on, but no response from Ben. I am 70 years old, & deserve both respect & the courtesy of his being responsible for his business. Gale

Well they are under new ownership and is not the same. Higher prices and longer wait for simple tire service. Left store after25 minutes of watching staff walk in circles. Went to Dove tire and was in and out in 10mins. Tire Doctor not worth the ride over anymore. Update: 03/18/2024, Dove tire sadly doesn't do tires anymore. So found a new shop.

Doc/Nigel is very knowledgeable about tires and equally helpful. The staff is friendly. The waiting room is modest, but the service is always first class.

Stay away - I mean you might you get lucky and get it done right but I did not. I wanted brakes, wiper blades, oil change and tires. They ordered the wrong tires, 2 days delay, then they tried to charge me and I checked the oil, brakes and wiper blades before I paid and it had not been done, another 2 day delay, I went to pay and brakes and blades were done so I thought I would juuuusstt check that oil before I paid and low and behold - it was not done - another 2 hour wait for the oil, they gave me a 40 dollar discount - whatever. Nice people but did I really need to investigate the work like Magnum PI, yes I did and I don't own a red Ferrari. It is not the place is was years ago when those bikers ran the place - so don't let the new facade fool you - it was better when it looked like a dump. I do not like writing these things but most people are not like me - imagine some young man or women without a clue getting something done - paying driving off and its not done. You cannot blame this on disorganization or communication. When you are taking money from the public for services on vehicles which they know nothing about - there is no room for error. Goto Costco or Sams - God be with you.

Went in for a state inspection, waited 3 hours, luckily I had nothing else to do, when I left and started to drive away, got about half a mile down the road, and I heard a loud noise under the hood, the engine bounced, my steering wheel locked up, my brakes locked, every single warning light came on the dashboard! The car was sputtering up the hill, and I couldn't use my brakes because they were inoperable. Thank God I made it to a safe parking space, I called the shop and was told nothing was done to my car other than inspection, and to be repaired "we don't do electrical work". My husband brings cars here, my first time here, and my last, not impressed. The ladies working the desk were friendly, that's the best I can say

Let me start by saying I have never left a Google review. For the past 8 years I have taken our vehicles to this garage. It was due to proximity and the fact that my Dad owns a small independent garage and I wanted to support one like it. The previous owner did a phenomenal job. It was recently sold and the place is not even close to what it was. After three less than optimal experiences, my last visit was the final straw. I booked our car in for brakes and an inspection. After having to book my appointment 2 weeks out, I dropped my car off the night before as they were going to work on it the following morning. At 4:59pm I get a call from the store. I was on the other line so as soon as I finished up the current call(less than 30 seconds) I returned the garage's call at 5pm and it went to voicemail. They needed to keep the car and seeing as it was a holiday weekend I wouldn't get the car back until Tuesday of the next week. Late Tuesday I get the call that the car is done. When I go to pay the bill, it only shows the inspection cost. I tell them that they forgot to charge me for the brakes. They didn't do them! So my car sat at their shop for 4 days for an inspection! There is a bunch more that went on when I questioned their business practice but I won't say more. What I will say is that I will never take another vehicle here. I hate it bc I think I met the new owner shortly after the sale and he seemed nice. But the ineptitude that is now common practice at this business is as infuriating as it is unacceptable.

I have gone here for years. The service was good, the owner was knowledgeable and would give great advice. You were given free tire rotation and flat repair with the purchase of your tires. Under the new ownership the service is beyond slow, I m not sure if I m getting good advice or if it s just what s convenient and they now charge $40 a tire for a warranty that basically gives you free tire rotation and flat repair. On top of that no matter what I need done it takes a half a day or more. Very disappointing!

The back tire brake pads and rotors that were replaced (no warranty) this past summer had to be replaced the end of December.

At the end of August I chose tire doctor to complete an oil change. They called me to tell me that I was in need of a new oil pan and that they would be using a butterfly style drain plug to slow down leaking because the OEM drain plug did not fit properly due to some corrosion in the oil pan. They gave me a quote to change the oil pan at the next oil change and suggested that I called them a day or two ahead to make sure that they could get the oil pan in time. So here it is time for an oil change and I called them to have them order the oil pan.. now they are telling me that they do not do that type of work. I reminded them that they are the ones who told me about the need of a new oil pan and that I do still have the work order quote. I was told that it was too much work, and that it would take half a day to change the oil pan and they would not do it. at the time that this work order was given to me, I spoke directly to the mail manager. Along with several employees. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will not be back

I am always treated well here. I recommend it to everyone.Adding more praise to my earlier review. The shop was very busy yesterday but the crew handled my issue fairly and reasonably. I even met the owner s family! If they sold merchandise I would buy a hat.

Love, love, love this place for so many reasons. I'm an enthusiast that generally works on my own vehicles. When I'm unable to do so, I trust these guys. Everyone is super friendly and honest and the pricing is great. They also allow you to bring your own parts unlike most other service shops. Plus there's a waiting room with WiFi and a bathroom. Very down-to-earth kind of place - something this area is losing.

Took my car in to be repaired. They had it for three weeks. Not only did they not fix it, they did thousands of dollars of damage. The only place I ve driven is to the dealership, which gave us a $4,800 estimate to repair the car including parts Tire Doctor replaced and the electrical system they messed up. We tried to resolve things with the Tire Doctor by asking for a refund. They refused and said they would discuss with us today. They now don t seem to be returning phone calls. We are contesting the charges with our credit card company, but it still won t pay for all the repairs from the dealership. They may be fine for a state inspection but they are not competent mechanics. Definitely do not trust them with your car. I wish I hadn t.
