What a great experience it was dealing with Lake Norman Auto Exchange! I worked with John and Jonathan on needing some touch up painting and detailing of my S550 Mercedes. I am very careful of any service to my car and they did not disappoint! My paint job was fantastic and the detailing both the interior and exterior made me feel like I was driving a new car home! The pricing was extremely competitive and fair. They had the car finished when they said it would be, no delays or hidden fees/surprises. Highly, highly recommend Lake Norman Auto Exchange and will definitely use them again and refer to my friends. Thanks again John and Jonathan, well done!!!!!!

These guys are the absolute best. This is my second vehicle I have purchased from them. John and team go out of there way to make things right, quality cars, they have the best used cars I have seen. I am a 20 year navy veteran who really appreciate professionalism, honesty and commitment. Lake Norman Auto Exchange exceeded all my expectations! John, his son Jonathan and the rest of the auto exchange crew made me feel like family and ensured that any and everything about my newly purchased 2010, S550 Mercedes, met my satisfaction. These folks genuinely care about your car buying experience. In fact , I intend on using their auto mechanic service for all my vehicles service. These guys are definitely a keeper! Honest! Yes I said it! I never thought I would have a car buying experience where I felt that way! Striaght forward, honest, and easy. If they don t have what you re looking for, they can find it. They back up everything they say, and take the stress out the experience. Buying a car is supposed to be exciting and it turns into nothing but an anxiety. These guys made buying a car fun again!

John and his team are wonderful! I know John through my work, and when he found out I was in an accident, he was immediately concerned and offered to help, even giving me advice on how to deal with the insurance companies! He listened to what I wanted in my next vehicle and quickly got to work sending me options. There was no pressure and he was super patient with me. Within a couple of weeks he found me the perfect car. All my future cars will be coming from him! I highly recommend their services.

Bought a 2011 BMW 535ixdrive in Nov 2023. Three miles down the road after picking up the car the Drive Train notice came up on screen! Called John Sr he said do not worry, we WILL take care of it. I drove home 1.5 hrs clenching my teeth! Brought to my mechanic next day and he found the turbo hose was leaking, the valve cover was leaking and needed gasket replaced, and my rear end was dripping fluid!!! So much for 110 point inspection they tout on their site! NOT! I brought it back and gave John the choice of giving me my $ and trade in back (which he still had and was letting an employee drive) or fix it all and show me videos of items being fixed! They chose to fix it, but not the rear end! Said drip wasn't bad enough! Wow ok thanks!! Never did get videos only blury pics of some parts you couldn't make out next to my car. Didn't keep his word there! Funny when I tested it I never did get to feel the turbo. I never had a car w that so I didn't know what to feel. John sure had 5 of them, he said. Never mentioned a word Turbo didn't kick in. That was the drive train issue and some solenoid. Did notice a shutter on right front during test drive and supposedly was the axle which he said they fixed before I picked it up. His son, John promised my car back in a week. Three weeks later I finally got my car!!! Every excuse in the book!I had asked REPEATEDLY about one of the warranties they offered and kept getting the run around. "Oh, I'll get to it, but very busy right now!" Every time I called that's all I heard! Someone is sick came next. Don't have enough employees right now. It's the holidays! Yada yada yada! Then it was the rep not getting back to them. Now it was end of December. I said "John! They best not go up on their prices for the New Year!! " "OH, they wont" John said. Alex, his employee who does a lot of finance work even gave me a written Quote (on an OReilly's pad) of the breakdown, additions I could have for HI Tech items and maintenance being doubled. By the time it came down to it, they had their rep emailing me. He sent me a copy of their invoice to Lake Norman and there was an upcharge of $700 for Lake Norman! The issue is my price went up and they took out the double maintenance without talking to me and still charged me approx $160 MORE for the contract!!! I've argued and said this isn't right!!! This is unfair and deceptive practices to say the least! I told John you PROMISED they weren't going up! Then I see the invoice for his $700 profit on the contract! He wouldn't budge and refused to answer any more texts or calls! He sent his rep as his gooey to try and tell me "there will be NO MORE CONTACT BETWEEN YOU, LAKE NORMAN AND MYSELF!" What? Who left you his lawyer?! I sent email back stating "I don't know who you think you are but I WILL not be spoken to like that and stop acting like their lawyer!!" VERY rude and unbusinesslike!!!On another note, when we were there dealing w the financing of the car, a man came in with a brand new Corvettte he had 3 months and wanted to give it back. He wasn't happy! Another woman was brought over to a corner area so we couldn't hear anything, but she was complaining about the car she bought from them also!!!STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU! JOHN IS NOT A MAN OF HIS WORD AND NEITHER IS HIS SON NOR EMPLOYEES!!!!

Bought a 2004 Honda Odyssey for 5k, and since have had to put over 3k into it in repairs. Starter and fuel pump have both had to be completely replaced, along with many other smaller repairs. Transmission went out barely 3 months after purchasing, didn t even get 3k miles on it, had to be completely replaced. When I told the dealership they tried to convince me that I had used my entire warranty on the previous repairs they had done on the vehicle despite the fact that I paid for all of said repairs out of pocket. Eventually after hassling they agreed to replace it only for the torque converter in the replacement to go out barely 40 days after. Dealership refuses to replace the transmission again without me paying full price out of pocket for it since the transmission was past the 30 day warranty. Absolutely ridiculous. Now I have no car, 5k in car payments to make, and have drained another nearly 4k out of pocket for a car that is little more than an oversized paperweight. Take my advice and take your business elsewhere, these people seem to have no problem selling you a lemon and then squeezing every bit of money they can out of you to get it fixed repeatedly. Do not trust them and couldn t possibly recommended them to anyone else. Avoid this dealership.

Great people. Treat you like family and They go the extra mile for you. totally recommend. Will never forget the kindness these people expressed and they don't pressure you to buy the car. You can definitely tell they do what they love and the cars they have there are beautiful. Both Johns and Lisa were really nice!

What a great experience! That s something I ve never said after buying a car, but it s true here. Jonathan took great care of us when we got there, and his dad John finished up the deal quickly after we decided to buy. Everyone was so nice and there was absolutely zero pressure. The car was immaculate when we got there, and then they detailed it again while we were doing paperwork! I honestly wouldn t hesitate to buy from them again and would buy it sight unseen next time they re that good.

I was so pleased with my experience at Lake Norman Auto Exchange. It was easy and stress free. I had a friend to call about the car I was interested in and John settled on a price with him over the phone. Once we got there to test drive the car, with the price already settled, everything went fast. John and team are top class and never did I feel uneasy about anything. They were friendly, informative, and never pushy. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest car dealer.

After reading so many good reviews I decided to buy a vehicle from this dealership, and I'm glad I did. The buying process was super smooth and easy. And it puts your mind at ease knowing the vehicle comes with a good warranty, which a lot of used dealerships don't offer. Everyone there is friendly and make you feel very well taken care of as a customer. Great experience working with these guys!

John & Jonathan Cleveland were amazing to business with when we purchased our 2014 Acura MDX from them! Their entire car buying experience was leaps & bounds better than the typical used car dealer and their products are top-notch. While I could only DREAM to buy some of the cars shown at their facility, they are sure to give equal attention to every buyer and you totally know you are getting a wonderful product from relationship-focused business owners. I will always look first at Lake Norman Auto Exchange from now on!

Such a great place with trustworthy owners! Jon and his son were not only informative and easy to work with, they were accommodating to my toddler too who just wanted so badly to touch everything hahaWhen we first walked in, my toddler was so excited by all the cars in their showroom and the model cars they had on display. Jon immediately pulled out some toy cars for him to play with which made the whole process so much easier. We did a trade in and purchased a suburban they had on the lot. They were really fair with pricing and trade in value. I didn t feel pushed to make a decision or harassed with phone calls and emails. They gave plenty of time for me to FaceTime my husband as well since his work schedule had prevented him from coming as planned and Jon answered all his questions on top of mine. I also appreciated that Jon answered the phone every time I called ( we commuted 2 hours for this vehicle so communication before making the drive was crucial). Paperwork was simple and straight forward. There was a small hiccup where they had to wait on a third party help desk however, during this time my kids and I were provided with water and they pulled up my son s favorite TV program so even the extra wait time was no big deal.Very friendly! Family oriented, Very casual and welcoming shop! Highly recommend!!

Any questions I had regarding the vehicle John answered them with no hesitation. The communication was excellent and the vehicle was what he described. This was my first experience of buying a vehicle online. From doing a virtual visit all the way to receiving my vehicle the whole experience was flawless. I was hesitant to buy at first site unseen, however, after doing some research about this dealership I felt comfortable enough to give it a go. I am so happy that I did. The vehicle was delivered to my home and it was exactly the way they described it online and during our virtual visit.They are honest and I feel they really wanted me to be satisfied with the process and more importantly with my purchase. I now have the convertible VW I ve always wanted and I was 100% satisfied and wouldn t hesitate to do business with them again.

Back in January I bought a 2013 Tahoe from LNAE. This was the first vehicle I d ever purchased online and without driving or seeing it in person. I was pretty nervous! However, John and his team made this the absolute BEST car buying experience I have ever had! It was so easy and quick and they brought the car to my doorstep. After I received the car, I noticed an issue with the mirrors. I called John and not only did he fix them, he had someone drive from NC to SC to fix them in my drive way.I cannot say enough how great this team is to work with. Bought a 2016 MB GL63, with 59k miles in December. Was meant to be a 3rd car for road trips, and came to soon find out that everything that could be wrong with this car, was wrong. I should have paid more attention to all the warning signs and Carfax report. Lesson learned, never again.

I had one of the best experiences in buying now my GTS Cayenne Porsche from Auto Exchange. John and his team was very easy to work with. There were no games or pressure to buy. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed when I arrived. He was very honest about the vehicle. The hospitality and knowledge about his cars sold me. Please read my review of the best family owned car dealership I've ever done business again. It will be awhile until I call back, as John sold me a car that should be good for many years to come. But, I will refer all family and friends for the expert, painless experience of buying a vehicle at Lake Norman Auto Exchange. There's not a more honest, caring car dealership nor other local business order. In fact, I ordered my car over the phone with John's guidance, a quick email, and a Car Fax review. Great choice! I have a 2015 Subaru Forester with only one owner and 41K miles on it. PERFECT for life in Colorado.

Cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Lake Norman Auto Exchange. From the moment I walked in the door to driving away with my new car in less than two days, it was unlike any other car buying experience I ve ever had (and Ive bought buy and sold a lot of cars). The team is knowledgeable without being pushy and truly want to please their customers versus selling cars. They treat this as a long term relationship versus a one and done transaction. I suggest if you re in the market for a car to check them out! I will buying from them again!

Great people to deal with. John is very laid back and no pressure; but a wealth of knowledge about the auto's he has on hand. I've been checking periodically on the Porsche's he had listed and wife and I visited their showroom several times. John and his son are not typical car salesmen. Very impressed with good neighbor approach and felt as though talking with good friend. This visit was to look at a specific car which sold before I could get there. Impressed with inventory on hand, test drove another manufacturer and bought that one. Painless professional transaction. Highly recommend and will buy again from John.

I have never purchased a car on line before so I was a bit nervous doing so. I look for over a year to find a 2008 Mustang GT and could not be more pleased. I saw the car on line on a Sunday night and the ad said 2008 Mustang GT 52K miles but there were not pictures. I sent an e-mail to Jon asking about pictures and he responded immediately and said there would be pictures in the morning. I looked at the pictures on Monday and immediately called Jon. I asked Jon if we could do a virtual "tour" of the car to which he agreed. Jon and his staff were most gracious and said if there was anything I wanted to see on the car to let them know and they would show it to me. I asked Jon if I could get the name and number of the previous owner and Jon did not hesitate to get this information for me. I called the previous owner and he said as did Jon "you will not be disappointed in this car". Called Jon after speaking with the previous owner and he could not have been more professional. We agreed on a price to have the car delivered to my driveway. The car arrived and it was spotless and better than advertised! Jonathon, Jon's son even threw in a set of Mustang GT floor mats! Would highly recommend Lake Norman Auto Exchange, Jon and Jonathon are top notch and very professional!
