TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Patterson was recommended by a fellow Hudson friend. I have a 1951 Hudson that needed some transmission work done. I started calling to find a time for them to do the transmission work and install in the car. After waiting about a month for availability we scheduled a morning (between 8-noon) to drop off the car so Patterson's could go through the replacement transmission and then install it in the car. This is not a Honda..this is a 70 year old car . I had to have it towed ~50 miles, which took a few hours. When we arrived at the transmission shop the (I think) owner told me I was late and that I could drop off the car if I wanted to, but that he was putting me at the back of the line, maybe 6 weeks, maybe longer. He was extremely unprofessional telling me "Well, boy, sounds like you need a new watch or need to learn how to tell time". I ended having (a very cool) tow truck haul the car all the way back to my house. Round trip, $400, and a day wasted, and the transmission is still not fixed. What a disaster.I found a quality transmission shop in Monroe called TTS transmissions. I would recommend you look there for your transmission needs.

Paid 900 dollars for a clutch and about 4or5 weeks later started having problems again was told it was the clutch master cylinder had to be replaced for 350 dollars was still having problems after that and was told just drive it and it be all right so the problem got worse took it to another shop come to find not all the bolts were tight so that cost another 1400 dollars so if you want wast your money I highly recommend you take it to them

***Buyer beware. Total rip off. My transmission lasted 5 days, after paying $3,000. This shop doesn t offer warranties. When I took my Tahoe back to see what the problem was, the guy told me he couldn t fix it and kept my money.Guys do your research. If you re going to spend this amount of money find a shop with a warranty.*Cheaper is not always better. This place was $1200-$1500 cheaper than every shop I called, and now I see why.Service: Transmission

Frank Wesley Patterson is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is very thorough with his work and takes pride in what he does. He is very nollagable about transmissions and other mechanical issues. I will do business with him again in the future.

Was sold a Chevy Trailblazer and less than 2 weeks after, it died. Mr Patterson did offer to fix it but it was going to be 6 days later(only vehicle and it was needed for work and children) We absorbed the cost of that lesson and had it repaired...fast forward 1 1/2 weeks later, TRANSMISSION DIES (keeping in mind, his business is transmissions) Was told repeatedly that it was in excellent mechanical shape with no issues and rattled off a few things he changed out and specifically stated no transmission problems. Will be towing this to his shop today to see how its handled. Next step will be a formal complaint to the Used Car Licensing Board for further investigations. While the lemon law is not in effect for used vehicles in NC (excluding Federal Magnuson-Moss Act) litagations against individuals committing FRAUD is.This review will be updated, awaiting outcome.UPDATE: As of August 13, 2018, Mr. Patterson did repair the vehicle.

The owner is a great guy who knows his stuff. Prices are fair and he has an extensive collection of vintage Tonka toys in the garage like I haven't seen since I was a kid.
