Cars can self- destruct if you don't keep them up. The Swedish Garage has helped me numerous times & keep most Saab/foreign parts in the shop! This is my 2nd Saab 9.3. These people have earned my trust. Most things can be fixed in a day. Fair prices & friendly, timely service!

If you have a Saab or Mini, this is the place to go! Although they service other makes and models, they are specialists in the Saabs and Minis. From Kathy who answers the phone and runs the front to the mechanics, you get VIP service. Took our daughter's 2005 Saab in and they did everything right in terms of repair, customer service and communication. Pricing is affordable and you know up front what the repairs will cost. Service is timely as they carry many parts in stock or can have them overnighted, if needed. Very happy to have found this gem!

My F56 Mini was in need of an engine mount. I wasn t able to compete the job and the dealer quoted me almost $900! Swedish Garage was able to do it quickly, for an awesome price, and used quality OEM parts. I will be returning if my Mini needs anymore work!

If you have a MINI you're wasting your time/money going anywhere else. Been coming here for a few years and have consistently had fast, friendly, reliable, and honest service.

Was up at the Swedish Garage today for an oil change and safety inspection before a trip. Service was prompt and done at a good price. I have done a lot more extensive work with them over the last couple of years on a couple of older Saabs (1986 900 Turbo and a 2001 9-5). These guys really know these vehicles and have helped me keep them running and reliable.

Kathy, Jamie, Peter and Paul always provide top-notch service on my SAABs. It's rare to find independent shops willing to work on these old cars, but Swedish Garage continues to do so. They always respond to my questions and concerns with patience and experienced input. Most importantly, they always call to discuss work before they begin, which gives me a chance to understand cost, scope and timeline.

My Saab has over 100,000 miles on it and had not had a major service since 40,000 miles. I took it in to Swedish Garage for the major 100k service. They completed everything that needed to be done and my car is running like new. The price was fair and definitely worth what I paid for. They were professional and informed me of the needed repairs. I will only go to them for any major repairs on my Saab.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Battery, Oil change

Can't recommend this place enough! Kathy, Russ, Jamie - they are always so helpful and accommodating when I run into issues with my Saab. They make you feel like a priority and are just great, down-to-earth people. Thanks for the years of reliable, trustworthy and 5 star service!

I had talked to the dealer about getting some work on my Saab and they told me it would take a week. These guys did it in 2 days and a lot cheaper than the dealer. I highly recommend and I will never go back to the dealer. Great service and the owner even talked to me while I was waiting for the paperwork. Can't say enough about this shop. Great job guys!

I brought my 2003 Mini Cooper here as the release/throw out bearing on the clutch had gone out. I looked at what it would take to replace as I have done many clutches in my 5 as certified and 25 as a hobbyist mechanic. The job with the transverse engine was too much for me in my garage. These guys quoted me a fair price and noted a few other items that would be needed while most of the front of the car is disassembled. They mentioned I might need new shifter cables due to the age, which could be as much as another $500. When they called when it was ready (fast service) they said the old ones were fine and I didn't need new ones. A SHOP THAT IS HONEST, so refreshing. I highly recommend these guys and I will be back for sure!!I mentioned my mechanic background due to the negative reviews I have seen here. Generally people don't understand what labor is involved in some of the work required to be performed. Also, in my experience some Mini owners don't realize the cost of quality parts (BMW not chinese).

I recently brought my wife's Mini into The Swedish Garage to have the clutch and brakes diagnosed and replaced. I walked in and Russ immediately made me feel as though I was part of his family - even going so far as to give me a ride to my office. They completed all of the repairs to the car in just a few days and the craftsmanship was excellent. Russ and his crew are a breath of fresh air in the world of car service and I can not recommend them enough.

I've been doing business with the owner Russ since around 1996 when he worked on my Saab, and my mom's Saab. Now his son Jamie and other mechanics work on my Mini. This is a down to earth, honest, and common sense operation that cares about it's customers. I highly recommend the Swedish Garage.

Gotta be the #1 place for Saab in the Charlotte area. Quick, honest, and intelligent, this team was great. Took care of my 2004 Saab 9-5 asap. They even offered to give a ride up the street to get me to work on time while my car was in the garage. Highly recommended.

This is going to be me my new go to for my Mini needs. Took a 2012 Cooper here to fix a horn that stopped working, and to re-attach a front spoiler lip. Even with a skeleton crew, they prioritized my needs when I told them about a weekend trip coming up and they discovered that my car needed a new thermostat. They were clear and upfront about everything. Prices for parts and labor were fair, the turnaround time was quick and in time for my trip. And the front spoiler lip attachment isn't the type of work they normally do but they did it anyway. I brought my own replacement lip part and the fasteners (which were not the right type so they used their own).

Brought in my 2005 Mini S for a mechanical repair to the convertible top. I knew the locking hook was broken--I showed them where the plastic part was broken in two, and it had been glued back together a couple of times before but kept breaking. Swedish Garage gave me an estimate of $1600 to repair it, which is 25% of the tax value of the car!!! $800 for the part & $800 for 8 hours of labor! So instead I bought the part myself online at a Mini Dealership for $230 and a friend installed it in 30 minutes. Can you say RIP OFF? They saw a woman coming in alone for a repair and they totally wanted to take advantage of my "ignorance." Shame on you Swedish Garage!

Great, honest folks. I've been taking my Saab there for 10 years. I would buy another one just to continue working with these folks (but they take such great care of mine, I don't need a new one).

I have lots of vehicles and therefore lots of dealings with mechanics. At this shop I particularly like the fact that you can talk directly to the guys that work on the cars. This isn't like most places these days that have the front line whose main interest is selling you snake oil while keeping you from the people that know the car best. That being said, I feel like they're fair and have integrity. This isn't based on anything other than conversation with the owners and employees that left me feeling I was in good hands. My first visit was good and I plan to return when it's time for the next repair (it's a Trollblazer so probably not too far off).

I have been dealing with Russ, Cathy, Jamie and the crew for 15 years, through Volvos, to Saabs, and back to Volvos. Have NEVER been less than thrilled with the professional, reasonably priced service received. Thanks, folks.

Owning a Saab is both rewarding and challenging at the same time. Besides wondering where one will get parts for our beloved automobiles - there is also a looming fear of what it will take to keep your swedish machine well maintained and enjoyable for the miles to come. Jamie, Paul, and the team at The Swedish Garage make those concerns almost obsolete. They work with you, keep you up to speed on repairs, prioritize your repair quotes according to the vehicle's needs, and are happy to answer any of your questions along the way. They efficiently and effectively took great care of my 9000 Aero and 9-5 Aero Wagon. Thanks for the hard work, service, and dedication to keeping our vehicles on the road!

I brought my Volvo in for a specific noise. After 2 major repairs (over $2500 worth) were accomplished and paid for, the noise is still there. Ok, what should I expect: #1: I would expect someone (anyone) at the shop to know the noise was still there. #2: I would have expected a call telling me the problem still exists after the last major item was replaced. #3: I would expect #1 and 2 before I come to pick up the car. #4: I would expect some sort of offer to re-diagnose the problem, again, before I pick up the car. #5 When I pick it up and get in, with the owner standing right there hearing the problem (because he did not know if it was fixed when I asked him about it) I would expect some offer to keep the car, diagnose the problem and offer something besides a send off. #6: When I call back to express my displeasure (albeit loudly and rudely after not getting my expectations above met) I expect an immediate offer to make it right, somehow. (apparently it didn't happen because I hung up on him, when my consternation was met with an unsatisfactory explanation and not empathy). #7: When I continue to express my displeasure more calmly later, I expect more than excuses and shame thrown at me for expressing my frustration and ruining his day. #8: I expect you'll hold the lectures, given that none of the above expectations were met. #9: I expect to have a response here that will somehow explain all of it away, so those of you reading this won't go somewhere else for your repairs. If you expect similar things, you should go elsewhere. Service and attitude matters.
