The hotel has great potentials. With that being said the hotel room we stayed in needs a lot of attention. First thing I noticed walking to our room was a damp smell. This made me wonder if the hotel had an issue with moisture. (Keep this in mind). The bathroom is fairly small, the beds were very low, there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. These were just a few things I noticed the evening we checked in. (It was late when we checked in). The next morning as we prepare to get ready for our day is when I noticed something a bit more troubling. As I was taking a shower I noticed the ceiling peeling and there was mold on the ceiling. (This made me think of how the hallway smelled damp when were walking to our room). As I was getting ready after the shower I noticed that there were more dark spots on the ceiling in the room area that appeared to be mold (possibly), but it looked like someone tried to cover it up. We had to be at an event by 6. We were schedule to stay another night, but decided to check out after the event and drive the five hours home. Location was great and the staff was friendly, but the rooms definitely needs some TLC.

We stayed at the sister hotel at this location to start with and were not happy at all with the cleanliness or quality of the room. I called the manager, and he met me at the door to a new room that was on the nicer side of the property. He showed us personally to our room and made sure it was good. The rooms are good for the price and the service was excellent on the Le Meridien side of the hotel.

This review is for both the Sheraton and Marriott as there are shared spaces between the two. Our room was on the Le Meridien side. Both are owned by Marriott. Pros: microwaves provided upon request and all rooms have mini fridges, coffeemaker is by Illy so you can make espresso and they provide the pods, housekeeping staff is friendly. There was one staff person who was attentive about the mircowave. She had to call twice for it but it made it. Cons: nowhere to really walk to unless you're seeing a game so this made the location less than ideal although in general there are few places where eateries are clustered together in this town (very much a business district) On the up side if you don't mind driving there are some great restaurants and coffee shops within a 2 mile radius. The rooms are ok, but definitely need maintenance. Doors and cabinets look worn and the bed frame was also all scratched up. The toilet runs unless younpull up on the handle after every flush. I think the housekeepers try their best but the carpets don't seem to get regularly vacuumed. Front desk staff are less than enthusiastic and I felt like I was bothering them when I asked a question. The parking garage gate wasn't working so we couldn't get out without calling which thankfully the person on the other end was prompt in letting us out remotely. Front desk just sort of shrugged and said they thought it was malfunctioning. This morning we tried to get coffee on the Sheraton side. There was no menu so I asked if i could have a vanilla latte and she simply said, "We dont have vanilla" and didnt offer any other options. I looked over at the two bottles of syrup on the counter and asked what flavors they were and with crossed arms she reluctantly told me what they were. I would have gladly ordered someyhing else but at that point i was just tired of the rudeness and just said "ok bye" Two girls were working there neither of which seemed interested in helping us. Again it felt more like we were bothering them. I'd suggest going to Provided coffee in town for amazing coffee and great service. I was glad this was a work conference, I don't think I would come back to this hotel for vacation. Maybe we didn't look rich enough or whatever. I'd like to think there are staff that are kind and I'm sure there must be, but that was not our experience in general. I'm happy to be proved wrong though.Walkability: Not walkable but there is public transport nearby

Lobby is beautiful and inviting- nice amenities- gym is great! Well outfitted, bright and spacious. Front desk staff very helpful! I arrived after taking the red-eye and Mac was helpful getting my checked in so I could go back to bed.Rooms are OK- beds could be better- finishing touches are a bit over looked. The toilet and bath room basically touch and my room had this humming sound I could only drown out with the HVAC fan on high.

Best service! Best staff. My husband and I have stayed in many hotels from high and low price ranges and this has been hands down the best in Charlotte. The staff accommodated our restrictive diet for vegetarians. The club lounge has a lot of attentive staff specially Jen. Dixie gave me a complementary champagne glass because she saw I had my birthday balloon at the lobby and Maria our housekeeper was very nice as well. The managers went above and beyond on our stay. From the morning the special vegetarian meals till night to give us points if there was something not working in the room. Could not recommend more. No complains. The service at this hotel has been Really great !

If this review is helpful , please make sure you give it a like . There are a lot of things that I need to say about this hotel. Let's start with the good things. The hotel is in a great part of downtown for you to walk to things. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom Amendities are amazing. This company makes the best peppermint shampoo and shower gel ,see the photo I posted. The hot water pressure is amazing, and the lovely Rainfall shower head was delightful and tall. Now, let's talk about the things that fell short. Mainly, the bed in the room was very horrible. They have those platform beds that sit on a platform . It's not a box spring, so the mattress slides around on that thing half of the time. The mattress it was horrible, way too soft. I literally sank down to the platform as soon as I set down. The platform was very old and had lots of wear and tear, as you will see in the photo I posted. The television did not have one premium channel. Lastly, the room has only two lamps in it. This made the room extremely dark. Not old enough light in the work area is horrible.

This hotel was beautiful. Here on a work conference, I didn't know what to expect. The decor is warm and swanky, but the rooms are a bit dated. 100 outlets and only 3 of them work. I also had an issue with dust the entire time I was here. In the pictures you can see some huge dust particles just sitting in the air. But it doesn't capture how much dirt and dust is actually in the air, I've never seen anything like it. The hotel seems to have some level of awareness about the allergens, as they have tissue placed throughout the building. It came in handy because my nose ran the entire time. I looked like Rudolph at the end of each day. The staff was friendly though, and although I wouldn't recommend the food, the hotel is a solid venue option for a work conference. For this reason, I'd recommend this hotel--unless you have allergies

I had a lovely stay here I only booked one night but it was so lovely I wanted to stay another night for valentines weekend it was pure enjoyment I barely left the hotel it was close to everything and the pool was nice and warm the staff was friendly I love the lounge accommodations they actually had good food especially for lunch my room was wonderful they even sent robes up for the pool trip & extra towels I was impressed with my view in my room. I think this place will be one of my favorites in uptown for sure.Nearby activities: Lots of places with in a 5 min drive from the hotel walking is 25 mins or moreFood & drinks: They had the best food in the lounge staff was super helpfulNoteworthy details: They have everything to accommodate guest just ask (ear plugs, robes, etc)

Great hotel with a great staff. However, I would not bring an oversize truck. The parking lot does not have security cameras nor a roving security. my truck was in the parking lot and had the window busted out by vandals. Nothing was stolen, just smashed the window (attempted the front, but only took one hit at it) and walked away. The hotel did have me park the truck out in the front after this, but that did nothing for my drive back to North Ga.

Rooms were nice, no doorman or valet to assist w luggage. We struggled opening glass heavy doors pushing bell cart thru and then back thru again once luggage was on cart. Taking the steep ramp was a 30 minute workout. Friendly staff but not a 4 star hotel Ordered room service grilled cheese and fries. Received melted cheese between 2 pieces of cold untoasted bread and over salted French fries-Not good. Multiple parties and events going on due to NYEve celebrations.

Not a great experience. The room was dirty and smelled and the whole building is dated and in need of repair and maintenance. There were pubic hairs on the walls and in the fresh towel on our first day. The decor was broken in our room and the shower fixture was crooked. I took some random pictures in the conference center and elevator to attach as a couple of examples. The only positive and the reason for two stars was the lounge staff. They were fantastic.

I recently enjoyed a stay at Le Meridien Charlotte, NC. The hotel's elegant ambiance and attentive staff were wonderful. However, there was an issue with water pooling in my bathroom, and what was more disappointing was that the hotel staff was aware of the problem but still, despite assurances of cleanup, no one came to address it. Additionally, a tailoring request resulted in dry cleaning instead. Despite these hiccups, I had an overall positive experience, but I hope the hotel can improve its responsiveness to guest issues in the future.Walkability: The hotel's walkable distance from downtown amenities .

This is my 2nd time staying here within the past few months so now I feel I can give it a fair review:First let me say the front staff was overly accommodating both upon check-in and in the morning prior to check out. Very warm, welcoming, professional and helpful.Pro's: Decor is BEAUTIFUL!Location. Close to everything downtown Charlotte. City view from the 11th floor was impeccable. Dining Options were acceptable and had a variety of options. Staying Here you will have both access to the Le Mridien, and the Sheraton. The Sheraton brews Starbucks COFFEE ONLY...for a fee. So don't expect a full Starbucks menu. You can also pay to have access to the club lounge, which will contain everything that you could possibly want and need for breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks. They also have a City View rooftop lounge that is available 5 days a week until midnight. Very convenient. Also, the rooms have complimentary Aquafina waters so you don't feel like you're being nickled and dimed.Cons: Construction has been going on for months around here, but let me be clear - it will not affect your stay, just annoying. Parking here sucks. You have to pay $25.00 a day (mind you, this is not New York or Chicago) and then park in a semi-lit garage and then have to either walk outside around the building or come inside the hotel and walk through a MAZE, THROUGH the Sheraton (the two hotels are connected) with your luggage, to the Le Mridien. Annoying. I will say this, when I traveled here back in September, they did not have the signage up that they do now to help guide you through the "maze" - the signs are extremely helpful so you will not get lost. Lastly, the rooms are very dim. Hard putting your makeup on good!I enjoyed my stay here and would have no problem staying again!

This is definitely a hidden gem the rooftop view is breathtaking at night. Guest services was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice. There are two bars, make sure to go to the craftwork bar, the bartender makes better drinks. I think my bartenders name was Kendall; she made a perfect Bahama Mama. The breakfast bar was fresh. The only issue I had was finding everything because Le Meridian is connected to Sheraton so ask for directions! I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were cute, clean and the bar had good food. The customer service was incredible. I accidentally left a gold necklace I ve had for 20 years. When I called asking about it they said they would give me a call back if they find it. Mike called me a few hours later and sent me a photo of my necklace. He went above and beyond to mail it back to me. I m very pleased with their service.

I actually book here often. After last night, I will be finding somewhere else to spend my money. First of all, there were no wash cloths in the bathroom. Then, I was leaving to go to the store and was met with a roach in the elevator. I went back in the room, gathered my things and left. I can t justify spending that much on a room in a hotel that has roaches.

I stay here for a conference. It s fine. Just fine. The rooms are adequate, but definitely a bit dated. Staff and service that I dealt with were very good. The location in downtown Charlotte is pretty lame. Easy to get to, but unless you re here for a conference or some other business reason, there s nothing exciting in the neighborhood.

I ve been in hotels across the world and have never been treated as invisibly as Le Meridien in Charlotte, NC. It is our first time in this city and shopping was so nice. Such friendly and helpful people at four shops. Then we came to Meridien tired and needing rest. We waited an hour for our luggage which only arrived after three anxious phone calls. No one seemed to care and the attitude on the phone was shocking - like I was calling the cable company or dmv. I m hoping to salvage my evening. Please spare yourself and avoid this dysfunctional place.Update: after several phone calls to the front desk, I was finally connected to manager Chris Fischer, who offered us breakfast the next morning. We appreciated the gesture. We also saw guests pushing their own luggage carts around the hotel the next morning, so maybe this is how it s done here. Even at two and three star hotels we have had staff bring us our luggage, but I think it s a staffing shortage.Walkability: Chose it for proximity to shops and restaurants.

One of the worst places to stay. They have excellent service with fast and invisible housekeeping and wonderful city views. Rooms are nice and clean, but you are literally living with guests next to you. All what is going on in the corridor and in all rooms around you - you're in, even if you're sleeping. Breakfast was good, but it wasn't included in the price of our stay (20$ for standard morning hotel meal is too much). Parking as well, they charge 25$ per night for your car.I just wanted to spend a weekend with my wife in Charlotte. Next time, we'll definitely use competitive companies, just because I've had a feeling that I was deceived.

Really nice hotel! Almost had a boutique modern chic style and vibe to it! Has two pools- one indoor and one outdoor! Has a small game room with ping pong, pool table, basketball games and pinball game! Has a bar, and small restaurant that you can get breakfast and lunch! Rooms were clean and spacious and hotel staff are very friendly and nice! Would definitely recommend staying here! And if you drive or rent a car, they have a parking lot attached to hotel too (may have to pay a small fee per night/might have valet parking too) but worth it to know that at least you don't have to worry about street parking!
