Great neighborhood mechanic. Knowledgeable, reasonable, and close by for your convenience. I've been doing business with him a little over a year and I'm very satisfied with his service.

The old guy with white hair is very sketchy, i usually get charged 40 for my inspection which includes the 10 tint charge. The old guy asks me what i got charged last year and i said i think 25 or 40 and that i do my inspections here every year. He replied with "i do 6000 car inspections a year so i dont remember" They guy then says 60 if cash because he supposedly didnt charge me for the tints in the back seat but how do you remember that but not me out of the 6000 people you inspect? I was going to do the inspection but as luck would have it the system froze and i canceled the whole thing. I went to another car inspection place and they said it looks like they were trying to rip me off. Be very careful with this place

I needed to get my car inspected today so I went by Jake's because it was close to my home. I saw the older man with the white hair, I asked him how long would it be? All he did was pointed to the car that was already inside and he said one, and he pointed to another car and said two, and then he pointed to my car and said 3. I asked him how much was his inspections and he said anywhere from $20 to $100. That didn't make any sense.I went inside and sat down. He cashed a lady out that was inside of the that was done with her car and I don't know what she had done I thought maybe an inspection but I do know he charged her almost $50.I heard him when he rang her up. So then I kept looking and then they put a white truck inside and I said to myself that's not what he said and I left and I went to the next place that I had started to go to at first auto inspection on Brookshire. They treated me so nice and it was quick. And it was not anywhere near $20.I certainly felt that Jake's didn't want my business for whatever the reason. I would never go back there.Ms Cynthia

Went today for an inspection, and was in an out within 10 minutes. Jake was very professional and helpful over the phone when inquiring about service, and even let me know about the other services they offer in case I need service in the future. If you re looking for good service, in a timely manner, go here!

Took my car to a local chain and they quoted me a price I thought was too high for a new battery. Ended up having it taken to Jake's and he basically did the same thing for half the price the other place was going to charge.Jake went above and beyond to be helpful the entire time my car was there as well. Great customer service. Would recommend this place to anybody looking for an inspection or a general mechanic.

Without a doubt Jake's is the best shop around for your auto inspection , oil change , brakes service and other items like used tires etc..

I took my truck here today. This was my first time there. Every challenge my truck could provide it did and then some. I must say they went above and beyond. They provided exceptional customer service. They took the time to carefully explain what was being done and made sure I understood everything. I will definitely return and refer other people to them. Please check out this amazing place. Great customer service like this is very hard to find.

Super quick and the best, Jake young guy is a understandably person, he is super respectful and very helpful, don't even look else where and just go here, promise you the best place and super understandably and price, don't need to research for car inspections just go!

I'm a first time customer and I received impeccable service. My oil change and inspection were completed in a very timely manner, reasonably priced and great professionalism. I'll definitely return in the future and highly recommend to all.

Went to Jakes for the first time to inspect my 4 cars last dec and he was quick and painless. Fast forward 7 mths and I needed front and rear brakes done on my acura and figured I would give Jake a shot . What a smart idea !! The price was very fair and his new mechcanic Donte was super professional and did a first class repair !! Definitly not just a shop for inspections !!!gerry c

This is one of the very best spots in the Queen city. He went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was warm and comfortable while waiting and the service was awesome. Prices are on point. I very well recommend that if you need anything done to your vehicle to check out this spot.
