Wonderful service at the Monroe road location. Julian kept me 100% informed all day. I was treated with respect and kindness. Sometimes I get a bit uneasy because I do not know much about cars, however I was not treated that way. Please consider this place if you need honestly. Thank you to Julian and the whole team.

Overall very pleased with this service! Scheduling online was very easy and the communication from the office via text was very informative. The whole service (brakes and oil change) was done in one day. Would recommend because of the great service and clean space.One kind of strange thing I had a small hedgehog figurine on my dash (an inside joke with a friend) that was missing after I picked my car up. Not a big deal.

I've taken my car to this place twice because I allowed the battery to drain completely. I've had an alternator replaced the first time and a new battery placed the second time. In addition they looked over my car for other items needed and contacted with an estimate. I've received top notch service and will always trust them with my car. Thanks Julian for your amazing Customer Service.

Big shout out to Dan and his team at Honest-1 Auto Care. I knew something was loose under my car but wasn t quite sure all I needed was a bolt. They replaced it (early Christmas present) and was on my way. Definitely coming back. They were so nice and did everything with a smile. Customer for life. Thank you so much!

My Mercedes stalled out and I had it towed here. Dan was really helpful with getting me taken care of. They did a diagnostic and determined that my timing chain snapped and if you know anything about Mercedes engines, you know how sad this was to hear. While my car wasn't repairable, (I didn't want to financially commit to an engine repair of that cost) I'm grateful for the service provided!

My interaction with Honest-1 was great! My car was towed over there after hours and they were able to run diagnostics on it the next morning. I had an issue that was covered by the warranty so my car had to be towed to the dealership but I will definitely try them next time!

I'm usually wary of businesses that have to assert how honest they are in their name, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one lived up to their claim. My car cut off on me while I was waiting at a stoplight and only regained power when the battery cables were jiggled. So, after discussing the situation with my car-savvy father, I mentioned this to the receptionist and asked if they could check to make sure the cables were properly tightened first before running any tests. They did and, thankfully, that turned out to be the issue and they were kind enough to be upfront and not charge me for it!

The front desk and technicians were very nice, very willing to help, but there's a disconnect between that positivity and their skill sets. Took my car for a routine oil change, oil was leaking when i got home. Took it back two more times to see if they can fix whatever issue was caused, to no end. Had to take it to my main mechanic in Stallings who said that the oil filter was screwed on too tight and they broke my oil pan seal. This is some car mechanic 101 failure, will not be going back

Started out great with quick service but as I started to drive my car I noticed a noise that was not there before. I took my car back this morning to find out late this afternoon that no one has looked at it. Don't tell me to bring it in if you are not going to fix the issue that day. Very disappointed right now.They have looked at it again and said ut is normal for new brake pads to rub the rotary. They said give it 2 weeks to go away. I have had new brake pads and rotars before and never had mechanics say such things so I am very doubtful. I. 2 weeks I have a feeling I will have to go back to them. Not satisfied yet.

I highly recommend this shop. Outstanding service and wonderful staff. Patrick (service advisor) and Greg (mechanic) were both patient and knowledgeable. Then again today, I went for brake service. The service was outstanding. I had it prescheduled so I did not have to wait for a long time. They took the time to address my concerns and I left the shop confident that my car is running fine and safe to drive.Services: Auto brake repair, Oil change

I took my car for an oil change with the expectations of a simple oil change. Honest went above and beyond to let me know that there was more going on then meets the eye. Honest found a really bad oil leak. This leak turned out to be more then one gasket that need to be replaced. When Honest technician found that it would take a longer time for the seals to dry. Jullian oftered me the company car to drive so i could finish my day. I appreciate the hard work and great communication from Juillan and the technician. The work that was done make me feel more safer to drive my car. Thanks again for a great job done. I would recommend my family and friends to bring their cars to Honest.

I'll try to keep this short but frankly it's a long sad story of failed due diligence on my part before taking my car here. This all happened last summer...Lemme see if I can sum all this up:- Visit 1: AC Compressor blew out. Took it here, estimate: $2200 to fix. I say let's do it!- Visit 2: AC working kind of but discovered it was leaking refrigerant. Brought it back. Said it was a faulty compressor (keep this excuse in mind....)- Visit 3: Fixed the leaking refrigerant but then ***engine started leaking oil profusely*** AND the AC was turning off on its own after about 5 seconds. Brought it back to them to diagnose and fix. Said it was a faulty compressor and that they'll order another one- Visit 4: Brought it back again to diagnose and fix. AC still not working, still leaking oil. Said to bring it back when they get a different compressor.- Visit 5: Still couldn't fix it. About this point is where they recommended I go to their sister shop to have it diagnosed and repaired by their higher-end techs. This shop was about a 40 min. drive but at least offered me a loner car free of charge which I greatly appreciated. Left it with them for diagnosis and repair- Visit 6: This was their final diagnosis because (get this) the owner of the first shop told them NOT to put any more work into the car because "we've done all we can". Now keep in mind thus far, 6 visits in + 1 Toyota to see if they had any idea (nope and in fact they said the engine had so much oil everywhere they would rather replace the whole thing for $10k than figure out what's wrong) and NO ONE was able to fix my truck. This was their final diagnosis:- The AC problem is due to a super rare issue where some "electromagnetic interference" is disrupting the AC Compressor / Engine signal. Toyotas apparently shut the compressor down at certain times to save energy via this sensitive signal. Ok sure whatever.- The oil leak was caused because Toyota installs terrible valve cover gaskets.If that final diag wasn't whacky enough, they wanted AN ADDITIONAL $1400 TO FIX JUST THE VALVE GASKET COVERS, not even considering any work with the AC because they didn't even know where the supposed "electromagnetic interference" was coming from. Six+ visits, AC still not working, the first garage caused a severe oil leak AND didn't even own up to it.Now to truly grasp the absolute depth of pure f**kery coming from Clownworld here...don't worry there's a super happy ending to this story...I decided NOT to let my baby go to the junkyard with all her super expensive and apparently "mysterious" problems and took it to ***CMD Automotive in Charlotte***, told them all of the above and they said "we'll try"...Remember that original price tag I paid $2200 and the additional $1400 they asked for to fix just the valve gasket covers?- AC fixed. Turns out Toyota installs these expensive two-part compressors and 90% of after-market AC Compressors are incompatible. The price tag to get the original parts is about $1200, for which I refused. However, their electrician said he could jerry-rig a switch in my cab to bypass the signal using an after-market Compressor. Cost: $500 parts and labor- Oil leak fixed. NOT THE VALVE GASKET COVERS AT ALL. Those were actually totally fine!!! Turns out it was the front crank seal leaking. Cost: $312 parts and laborHonest-1 Auto: $3600 cost + estimate to fix a problem they couldn't (the AC) and to fix another problem they caused (oil leak).Ended up getting both fixed PERFECTLY for just over $800. To make this story even more gravy and a Karma-Win for the consumer, my credit card company sympathized with the situation and got my money back via claim dispute. The basis of my claim? Look at all the other low-and-one-star reviews here and on Yelp! They have a documented history of overcharging and false diagnoses.Glad things worked out in the end and my baby runs well now...thanks to ***CMD Automotive in Charlotte***...Avoid H1 Autocare at all costs!

Excellent, professional, courteous, friendly, timely and knowledgeable...Jake identified the problems with brake light and turn light then totally resolved both. Their timeliness even allowed for me to leave in time to have lunch with my 3 nephews in college!! Daniel also provided a cost estimate for a future repair that I asked about. I am always pleased with a job well done...because of Julian, Justin, Patrick, Daniel and others, I am an Honest-1 Auto Care customer for life. Thank you all so much!!

I stopped into Honest-1 this week and did not even have an appointment. I really had not been very pleased with the service that I had received in the past. They had previously said that my turn indicators and my emergency lights were fixed, but they WEREN'T!! (I had taken my car back in twice!!) I was terrified to drive my car anymore!!! A relatively new employee, Patrick, couldn't have been any nicer!! Even though it was near closing time, Patrick immediately ordered the part that was needed. The part arrived quickly, and within a short period of time my turn indicators and emergency lights were working perfectly!! I drove off feeling safe for the first time in months! PATRICK, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING SO KIND AND FOR GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY TO HELP ME!!!!Service: Electrical repair

These people are very polite and very professional. The shop is spotless. However, they would not service, my muffler, and the sign out on the front says total auto care. The only thing not honest about this place is that sign. They might want to take it down. Aside from that, they were very nice to me as they told me they couldn t help me with my car. they even recommended a place for me to go. I appreciate that.

I would like to provide an update to the review that was left previously. I went to this shop to have my water pump replaced on my 2014 ford explorer. Honest 1 replaced the pump and tensioners and the entire kit that is required. 2-months later, i began having a very loud knocking sound which resulted in me returning to Honest 1 to have them look at the problem. I told them i believe it has to do with the timing chain. They told me their mechanic said it was a wrist pin (Which a did not believe). So i decided to go to another shop which informed me that it most definitely is the noise from the previous work that was performed on the vehicle. 4-months later i call back and found out Honest 1 has been doing some employee renovations and they hired a new Manager named Justin. He received my call with humility and understanding. I told him my car needs to be corrected because I can't drive it and you guys were the last ones to work on it. After (2) more additional weeks, finally my car is fixed, and they have redone the work that was replaced wrongly. I just want to say thanks for listening and correcting the issue.

I am a very happy customer. Julian and the rest of the guys are so warm and attentive. This is just my second time having my truck serviced here and I'm sold. The guys here are very informed about the vehicles they are servicing, when asked questions they are professional and confident, they make me feel confident that they are familiar with my vehicle and know what is needed. I had brake pads/rotors replaced and an oil change. The mechanic did not reset the oil change indicator, thus still receiving alerts that I'm overdue for an oil change. I was advised that my battery should be replaced but it passed the battery test at Autozone; not sure what happened there. I want to keep going to this shop but there's an opportunity for improvement.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I brought my 1984 Toyota van in last Wednesday to check the battery kill switch and the battery. I was told that the battery needed replacement and the kill switch was working fine.I was charged over $40.00 just for checking the battery, and told that the battery kill switch is not a problem.I doubt that anyone ever checked the kill switch, because, if they had, they would immediately see that IT IS NOT WORKING FINE. The threads on the dial are completely stripped and the switch is not making contact. Very simple to check, and only takes a few seconds.As for the battery check, that is a service that is usually done without charge when purchasing a new battery. I would have purchased the battery from you had the check been included in the service. I even asked to have the cost of the check applied towards the purchase of the new battery, but was refused that request. Furthermore, if you had installed a new battery it would not have worked because of the problem with the kill switch!It would be nice if you would live up to the Honest which is in your name. I feel that I have been ripped off and will not be returning customer.Gene KavadloService: Battery

I am very impressed by Honest-1 and will be returning for future needs. I dropped my car off at Honest-1 at 8:30am for a full service and it was ready by 1pm the same day. In my prior experience with Charlotte auto shops this has not been the case (I ve had shops keep my vehicle longer than this to change a tire)! I was highly impressed by the punctuality as well as the communication as my car was being serviced. Not only did they service my vehicle in a timely manner, they called me multiple times with updates as to what they were doing. I would highly recommend this business to others looking for a dependable mechanic shop in the Charlotte area.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change
