This entire team is like family. They will take great care of you. Everyone is so hard working! From the time you drive on the lot, you are greeted with kindness and a smile (I'm talking about you, Hector)! Every car I've had while living in Charlotte has been maintained by these special folks. Thank you, Scott and Joe, or your unfailing interest in your customers and your integrity in business! Miss you, Ms. Melissa!

Went here to rent a Budget van to move a refrigerator. The next day when I returned the van the office was closed so I took video of the vans return condition, mileage and gas meter. I called a few days later to obtain the total amount and was floored that the charges were for over $200 when my expectation was around $75. I was told by Joe that the vehicle had been driven 225 miles. I informed him that the miles he quoted was impossible because I drove so few miles the gas tank was still on full when I returned it and I never added gas. He said he would look into it and give me a call back. When I received a call back I was told that someone must have transposed the numbers and that I would receive a credit. I asked for an email receipt so that I could view the itemized charges and when that arrived there was a new fee for drop off that was not on the original contract. I ended up having to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

I recommend this Auto shop to anyone in need of a car repair. I had my car towed to this shop due to it not holding a charge. I was informed that it was the alternator, however they were not able to service my car due to the part already being under warranty at another repair shop. However Melissa still made contact with my personal vehicle warranty company to ensure that everything that I would have to do the least amount of work. They are honest, and have earned a lifetime customer. I would recommend this Auto shop to anyone in need of a repair, tires, or oil change.

Looking for a decent automotive shop has always been something of a crapshoot to me. You either take your automobile to a dealership and get absolutely hammered on the prices, labor and materials. Or you know someone who knows someone, that said that this person is a really good mechanic. Or you can call around and try to get some estimates over the phone. That is, if you can finally speak to a real live person, that actually lives whithin the boundaries of North America. Or you can read some reviews...on virtually anything, from anyone about anywhere.I enjoy writing reviews and taking pictures and posting them as well.I did a combination of most of these things while looking for a new mechanic. And right on the corner of Sunset and Statesville rd, I found Fairway tire and auto.It seems that I am just one of the more recent customers, in a perpetual stream of thousands who have migrated to, run across, read a great review and/or been recommended by another to patronage this particular automotive business.Used tires, check. In and out/drive through inspection, check. Alignment, check. Transmission, engine work, check. You name it, they do it.Mrs. Melissa was behind the front counter. I introduced myself to Joe, one of the co-owners. Hector, Mike and Colby(I'm sure that I missed someone or another...), were all friendly, professional, personable and trustworthy. You are dealing with and outstanding caliber of individuals.More importantly, the prices are reasonable and the work is done in a timely and diligent manner.They had literally dozens of satisfied and repeat customers who were in and out there...all day long.The other customers assured me that this is not and anomaly. They are always doing business like this; each and every single day that they are open.If you are looking for a trustworthy, professional, who is reasonably priced and honest automotive business, this is the perfect place for you to bring your automobile. Fairway Tire and Auto. This particular business gets my highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed. A Great shop, friendly and honest. No frills, but they get the job done in a timely manner. Iv had every thing done from oil change to a new catalytic, brakes and tires, Scott & Joe run a fair trustworthy business.

Place tore up mycar a said that it was fixed and didn't even make 2 miles and car broke down and ended up that the didn't do work properly one looked under my hood they had not even re tighten back things so now I have more problems than what I started with hadmy car towedhome so that I can get more work on that they caused and tried to bill me for

Took my classic car here to have a ruptured brake line repaired. Good news is they were able to repair my brake line. Bad news is they did a half a$$ job putting it back together and charged me almost $300 for it. I see why I had an exhaust leak now. Any seasoned mechanic can see this gasket needs to be replaced. Of course it s going to leak. Also my exhaust wasn t fully connected either. Yes, they said I could bring it back but after seeing this type of craftsmanship no thanks you ll never touch any of my vehicles again. Superb work guys. Smh

I wouldn t even give them a star. Their communication is all the way bad!! I got to their shop at 8am sharp and was the first person there. I told the guy I think his name is Scott (I maybe wrong) what was all wrong with the car. We go look at it and he said You would have to leave your car here and my mechanic will take a look at it today but it would be this afternoon I said ok. Hours later I called the lady at the front desk and put me on hold for a long time and forgot I was even on the phone. So I drove up there around 2:50pm and my car was STILL STEATING!!! Walked in and ask why it haven t been seen I was the first one here but everyone who came after me came and gone. Now mind you I only needed my car looked at and to get a price but the man said other people had simple things that need to be done???? Like mines wasn t simple They also didn t let me know that they was keeping my car overnight and wasn t even sure if they can even get to it the next morning!!! They wasted my time and made me lose money for sure. They didn t care, didn t say they will give a discount, and didn t apologize for not communicating things like this. For them to have good reviews and referrals I can t see why at all.

I needed four new tires and had been price checking and called Fairway on Wednesday. They gave me the best price by a few hundred dollars and make me a next day apt. I dropped my car off and told them there was no rush since I was going to work and would pick up after and they still were done in about an hour and a half. Everyone was very friendly and the price beat every chain.Service: Tires

My husband takes both our cars here for servicing. The mechanics are super knowledgeable and friendly. They go over and beyond to ensure that the work they do is top quality. They even stay late when we are late picking up our cars. I highly recommend Fairway Tire and Auto.

Please avoid this shop. I had my tires rotated here only to find out as I got on to the interstate that the lug nuts were not tightened on one. Had to fix the issue on the side of I-77.

Rented a truck from Budget (uhaul didn't have the size I needed on the day). The renting went well, lot was in rough conditions. I advise NOT dropping off at night here unless you are comfortable around people asking for money, and random people hanging out in the dark (inside the cars!). I was in a rush to get out of there, then a week later...post drop off I was charged an extra 60 bucks for I don't know what.Truck was left with a full tank, and I was supposed to get money back, not get charged more. Oh well, the location works for day rentals, -2 stars for the extra $ and no lighting to deter thieves.

The auto mechanics were very nice. I first went in for an inspection and found my rear bearings and exhaust not working properly. It was something else too, I can't remember at the moment. My car sat for 3-4 years in my driveway. It was rusted underneath. I thought that the car was no good anymore. It now runs like a new born car.Services: Exhaust, Auto exhaust system replacement, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

Highly recommend! Great customer service ! I had multiple issues wrong with my vehicle, fairway staff solved all my issues and even if I had any doubt they would be willing to fix and clear anything up for me ! Scott Jo and Victor was extremely helpful ! And the lady at the front desk as well very pleasant!

I am saddened to report a cautionary tale with this business. I looked at Google reviews; they were mixed. I dropped my car off due to noises after backing into a ditch. I had to wait two days and call in several times before they finally told me I needed struts and an alignment. They told me it would be $1200 to get two struts for the back tires on a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE.I researched the cost of labor and parts. I also researched what could be wrong with my car. I called around and was advised to get a second opinion. I went to two Auto repair shops. They lifted and inspected it. The first shop also went on a test drive to hear the noise I complained of. They both told me I didn't need struts. They showed me the breaks and struts and how they check for that. They told me I had a loose/ broken bolt in the back that was replaced. I lpaid them $10.I told them about my experience here and the "strut inspection fee" ($40).They were not familiar with that term. I'm terribly disappointed because they have my son's car up there to have the engine replaced. I can't imagine what those charges will be. I hope to hear back from management soon concerning this. My car has been driving quietly since. It also didn't need an alignment.

I took my 2006 Lexus gs300 to fairway for a clunking sound coming from my front passenger tire , they called me a day later and said it was my inner tierod and lower ball joint and that it would cost between $600-650 for parts and labor they did the work got the car back a day later still hearing the clunking sound , took the car back got mechanic to ride with me so he can hear it and he told me leave the car for another day, so I did , fairway called me the next morning and told me it was plastic flap under the car making the noise so they tywrap it and that the car was ready for pick up, I went on vacation after picking the car up came back on a Monday drove the car to work and heated the clunking sound again. After work I got home jacked the car up myself and upon inspection I noticed the front sway bar bushings and sway bar linkage were bad I orders the parts myself cost me $85, and maybe about 2 hours of labor of my time. I feel fairway misdiagnosed my vehicle and charged me for work that wasn t performed.I don t recommend them to anyone because of the the way they handled my repair and I m out money for a repair that wasn t needed.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I have had four separate experiences with this business. I often read reviews on establishments/businesses That I would find helpful in regards to whom I choose. Not one single time have I had any issue with Fairway. This place has exceeded my expectations for every visit. Scott is very professional and courteous. I have spoken with three or four other members of this business and have had the same exact experience. Very thorough and very fair. This is the place to go to for your automotive needs.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would! This is the first time in my life where I feel like I actually have to write a bad review. They gave me a quote of $260 for my brakes and charged me $400 after they did the labor. The noise was still there and my brake light ended up coming on so I took it back to them. They then said they adjusted the caliber and the brake light went off. A week later the brake light came back on and the sound never went away. I called again to complain and the owner says to me and I quote well I don t feel like I did anything wrong, so have a good one and hung up in my face. I paid $400 to literally get nothing fixed. I took my car to another shop and they told me they literally did nothing and everything needed to be done. Scott or whatever his name is took advantage of me because he seen I didn t know anything about cars. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere. They are not worth the hassle.Service: Brakes

Don't use this business. I called ahead of time to make sure that could fix my vehicle, and they explained that they could and it would take a couple of days. I dropped my care off on Monday morning, with the understanding that it would take a couple of days for them to do the work and I would be back on Friday to pick up my car. I call Friday morning only to here that they HADN'T DONE ANY OF THE WORK. I was giving the bs explanation that there were alot of cars ahead of mines....I asked why didn't you call to explain this me? No answer. These people clearly don't value their customers or their time.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

Outstanding service. They never overcharge and if the quote for the part comes in cheaper than what they quote they adjust the final price to the lower price. You cannot go wrong with Fairway Tire and Auto!

Terrible tire warranty for 30 days. They put a rotten tire on my besties car and we tried to see what they could do about it. They said nothing after 30 days. They knew that tire was bad when they put it on. She only drives that car to work and back. And put about 150 miles on it. I wouldn't tell ANYONE to go there if they were the last service station standing! Terrible customer service. Once they got your money you are no longer needed by them. And they didn't care if I rated them as bad because others already did it before. I'm not the first and I won't be the last.Service: Tires
