Awesome shop! Both Kevin and Bill are very knowledgeable and take the time to answer any and all of your questions. They have a team of kind and experienced mechanics which is nice when you have a vehicle that's more rust than car like mine. They don't push products or services on you, but will let you know their suggestions if any, and leave it at that. It's up to you if you want to take them up on it. Great place if you like things done right the first time

My new favorite place to get service for my 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. Rapid response, thorough, and friendly. Kevin was great to work with as he listened patiently to my layman s diagnosis of a new battery tied to a bad alternator. I asked CMD to check my AC lines for leaks, got a recharge. Lastly, they inspected the undercarriage and brakes. Kevin made some recommendations but not described as showstoppers but to be cognizant of my brake pads; change them soon. Dropped off as a walk-in at 8:20, finished by 3:30 that afternoon. I m super appreciative for the work they did and will be back for service because this old truck needs some TLC.

Just moved to the area and needed to get my car serviced. They were able to get the work done early to accommodate for a doctors appointment I needed my car for. I m always hesitant of new mechanics, especially as a woman but these guys were great! Kevin was A+ to work with from the initial phone call all through a detailed walk through of what was done and what he would recommend I do at the next service. It was a welcoming and effective environment and they will be my go to guys from now on!

I've been a long-time customer of CMD, and their service, knowledge and quality of work never ceases to amaze me. Until now, when they serviced my 20 year old, recently purchased Wrangler TJ. I knew it needed some TLC, but CMD went above and beyond in getting my TJ running smoother than I ever expected. Much respect to the entire team there. Bill and Kevin thanks so much for your professionalism and courtesy throughout the years!

Took my vehicle in to get a diagnosis and repairs. They were extremely friendly and very up front about what the process would look like. I spoke to Kevin on the phone and he said my 1 hour diagnosis should be finished by 1pm. However, they called me about 2 hours after I dropped it off (at 7:30am) with the diagnosis and price I should expect. My car was repaired and ready to pickup by around 2pm the same day. Very efficient and friendly team

as a longtime client, I ve seen a significant deterioration in the quality of service lately. My last experience was the final straw. They told me the engine was shot (has been performing fine for 9k miles since after another mechanic indicated no issue), and they broke my hood suspension and said its failure was coincidental. $110 to repair and $150 for a bogus diagnostic coupled with a rude front desk all culminated to a never again guarantee. Too bad - as I had been a decade long customer.

Great service center to have work done. Kevin communicates clearly with what repairs need to be done and what the various options are. I trust the CMD guys with our Toyota 4-Runner and Tundra and feel confident that the work has been done right with quality parts used.

I just want to give a warm shoutout to these guys. Kevin at the front desk is always courteous, professional, and knowledgeable to work with. They always get my vehicle in and out in a day and are honest about service needed, proactive, and charge very reasonable rates for high quality service. I sincerely believe this is one of the best, if not THE best, mechanic in Charlotte. They are certainly the best ones I ve ever worked with! Cannot recommended them enough. I ve referred family and friends here for good reason.

Called to get a quote on service. Spoke with Kevin, wasn't friendly gave a high quote without suggesting the vehicle be brought in to look at it to determine what service would need to be performed. If you're going to lead with hypothetically then hypothetically suggest a customer bring their vehicle in to look at it before abruptly telling a price over the phone without assessing the vehicle

My wife and I have been using CMD for all of our auto services for five years. They have been able to service her Jeep and my Mercedes with all requested repairs. They work quickly and efficiently, and I trust their judgement when work is required to be done and when work is also recommended to be done (maintenance or diagnosing small issue before they become big problems). Worth the money to take it to this shop if you want the work done right. Kevin and Bill that work up front explain the repair work in a way that anyone can understand.

These guys are legit. I came in with an issue diagnosed by myself that did not have a guaranteed successful fix due to the aftermarket setup on my car. Despite this, they trusted me as a customer and gave the repair their best effort. Turns out they did a great job and it turned out better than I expected. They didn't even charge me for their diagnostic time. I will absolutely come back.Service: Exhaust

Never experienced the level of professionalism from a mechanic that i have from CMD. Not only did they misdiagnose my vehicle according to the dealership i then brought it to and attempted to overcharge me they were rude and aggressive about their misdiagnosis when i then questioned them. They will prey on customers who do not have much mechanical experience in order to gain as much money as possible. Please avoid them if possible.

Had to take my car here after a rushed job was done at another shop in Georgia. They fixed everything wrong and did it at a reasonable price. If I lived here they would be my go-to mechanics. Service was professional, prompt and honest. Thank you so much! My car now runs perfectly

These guys at CMD are awesome, I got them as a referral from a buddy of mine and read some reviews. I have a 2005 Nissan 350z....that car is my baby. I have worked hard to keep it in great shape as she is an old lady. Bill and Kevin, everytime I talked to them, are awesome. Very knowledgeable and know what's going to be best for my Z. I had dropped off the car today for some wheel bearing work and they identified a brake pad issue. They never once pushed me into getting it done which was great! They simply advised we can do it today or wait for another time. I decided to get this done on my breaks as I trust they will get the job done. They also advised me of the concerns if it was not done and it made sense! I only go to one mechanic and Charlotte and this is the one. I would refer friends here if I was ever asked. Incredible customer service from CMD, especially from Bill! I m currently traveling for work but had a bad wheel bearing. I was too nervous to continue driving, and CMD fit me in really quickly for repair. They called me with a quote before doing any repair work. They explained the situation in depth. They greeted me by name when I entered the shop. It was a great experience, highly recommend.

I have used CMD for my car repairs since moving to Charlotte and they are outstanding. They can generally fit you into the schedule very quickly and turnaround time is even faster. They re great at communicating exactly what they recommend getting fixed, and are very honest with what is absolutely necessary versus what can wait. They also take the time to explain exactly what is going on and what could go wrong if repairs aren t completed. They don t try to sell anything you don t need and the prices are extremely fair. They also prepare you if they think something may end up being costlier, rather than completing the work and just charging more. I will continue to use them and recommend them as my go-to mechanics.

GREAT first experience with this company. I called needing a headlight replaced and Kevin was extremely helpful over the phone. He gave me pricing info right away and explained the process since this was new to me. I dropped my car off 20 minutes later and 30 minutes later it was ready to be picked up. Price was great, service was great, and I will definitely be back!

I travel for a living and finding good, honest mechanics can always be tricky. The staff at CMD were friendly and professional. I only came in for an oil change but they were able to see me that day and I was on my way in no time. Any time I come through Charlotte these will be my guys for all my auto needs. Even their waiting room was clean and inviting. Thanks guys. Keep up the great work

My car wouldn t start yesterday and I was going to get my car towed to CMD Automotive so that they could diagnose what was wrong with it. I called ahead of time to make sure it was okay for me to bring my car, and Kevin was extremely helpful and provided great customer service over the phone. I ended up being able to get my car started after waiting on a tow truck for a long time, so I ended up not bringing my car to CMD Automotive after all. After having a horrible experience with the towing company, speaking to Kevin definitely put me at ease and his knowledge and customer service were excellent. I am definitely going to use them for my future car needs.Service: Battery

I have been a CMD customer for many years ever since they opened the shop on South Blvd (they have since moved). I try to do as much work on my own cars as possible but when I don't have the time or the energy or the expertise, I take it to CMD because they do it right. This shop is very different than any other shop. They are honest, straight-up, helpful and provide very high quality service. I tried some of the other notable shops in town but they just don't even come close to the level of honesty, quality and customer service as CMD.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I have used CMD for both my personal car as well as for a fleet of vehicles for a small business that I manage. I couldn't say enough good things about this place. Every time I've done business with these folks they've always been fair, honest and professional. I always trust their advice and their customer service is second to none. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of any automotive repair.
