A little late to posting this but I came into Auto Tune after going to Toyota dealership that quoted me $400-$500 to replace my license plate because the screws were rusted from the inside out - such a rip-off!Auto Tune helped me within 15 minutes and did it free of charge! Will definitely bring my car here again. Great local car care business!

I moved to Charlotte , and did not have a trustworthy reliable mechanic to go to . I went online and saw the reviews and brought my car here and they were honest and fixed my car within a couple of hours ! The best service . I will definitely be back . Thank you .

Yes there are still honest good guys out there that will tell you there is nothing really wrong with the car if that is the case. Joe & Mike recently checked out my mothers car that would not start and seems it was just a minor issue. Make this place first on your list next time there is a need.

First time getting service here and I felt that everyone I dealt with was honest and trustworthy. We had a pretty expensive repair needed and they did a great job of recomming various options with varying costs. This will be our go-to service center from now on.

The owner, Joe, was extremely nice when I took my car in for an alignment, as well as a quote for my brakes. His shop has great pricing and gives an informative explanation of what work needs to be completed and when. I will be taking all of the cars in my family to Joe.

Love Joe and Mike and the service at this business. Have been very pleased with the service on my csr and truck. If you have repairs that are not under warranty, this is the place to go. Better than the Chevrolet dealership. Took my truck today and have used them for repairs on my Ford Fiesta.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This was the third place I called and their customer service can't be beat. I was attempting to change my headlight bulb when I ran into a snag. I called Auto Tune Total Car Care Tuesday at 12:30 and they said bring it in by 2 and they could do it today. When I got there I explained the situation and immediately the person I was speaking to grabbed a tool kit and came out to my vehicle. 10 minutes later problem was fixed and I was on my way. Not only did they take it upon themselves to solve right away he refused any payment offered just saying "Merry Christmas". A true breath of fresh air in an industry that is known for nickel and diming everything they can. I will definitely be coming back for the next service I need!Service: Electrical repair

I want to publicly thank Joe, Mike and Carlisle for taking care of us. Did a total brake system installation because of my old rusty one (car is from the northeast) and they were the only ones willing to work with it in the area and paid about 500 less than originally quoted. They were honest and helpful as we just moved to the area and we got very lucky that we worked with auto tune and now we have a new mechanic we can trust.Thanks again, you have a loyal customer from now on.Service: Brakes

When I say this place is amazing I m not lying!!! Joe is an absolute rock star!!! I honestly went here because they were close and the reviews were amazing. The reviews did not lie!!! Fair and honest. What more can I say??? This place is the spot if you want honest good word at a reasonable cost! Thank y all again for fixing my moms car!!! We will be back soon for more!!!

These guys are just the absolute best! I have an older car that gives me a lot of problems. They have always been available to check it out as soon as I needed them, it's always been ready the same day (usually within a couple hours even), and you cannot beat their prices. These guys are always so friendly and upbeat, and I have never had a bad experience. It's so hard to find a good trustworthy reasonably-priced mechanic, I'm so grateful someone recommended Auto Tune!

Great experience with Mike at Auto Tune. I got a punch list of service items at the car dealership for 90,000 mile service, total was over $1200. Mike gave me the run down of which items were really necessary to keep the car running well and which could wait. He got my car tuned up the same day and the cost was very reasonable considering the amount of work done. Will definitely return!

I deliver parts to this place and they're absolutely amazing. I love Mike and Joe they're great partners and always ready to help out when they can! When I need something fixed on my car that I am unable to do, best believe I am calling them up for sure!! Thanks Mike and Joe for being amazing people! :D

Wow! I am so happy that I brought my car here. It was a simple oil change, but they were quick and did not over charge! All of these chain auto places are so over priced and just robotic, they don't seem to care or politely answer your concerns/questions. This place feels like a 'mom and pops' type business and I really liked that. Good,honest, and reliable workers!

These guys have gone above and beyond in taking care of us and making us feel comfortable in all our decisions and what would make the most sense for our family. Joe and Mike have been outstanding and make the drive from Ballantyne to Matthews worth it! If you are looking for an honest mechanic, these guys are it! They are affordable and will work hard to make sure you feel right about the work done.

Absolute excellence!! Joe and Mike are extremely knowledgable, trustworthy and I am very, very happy with the top-notch quality of service they provide. Auto Tune is the shop I've been looking for. They've fixed things ranging from a complete tuneup, brakes and wheel alignment. Even odd things like my electric window motor and keyless entry. Me and my tuck thanks them, big time!

Words can t express how appreciative we are of this company. Honest is an understatement. We recently got a quote from the dealership that states we needed a new battery, alternator and belts. We took it in to this company and after testing and rechecking everything for a couple of days they could not duplicate the problem that the dealership said that we needed and saved us a $3,000 repair that didn t need to be done. Thank you guys!

This is more a reflection of buying a car from here than getting something repaired. I wouldn t recommend purchasing anything from them. I Bought a vehicle from John and was told the mechanics went through the entire vehicle and fixed everything they could find wrong. Upon driving I noticed the power steering pump was whining when checked the reservoir was extremely overfilled. I was then told oh no we didn t look at the power steering so obviously they didn t go through the entire vehicle as was stated before. I decided to but the vehicle anyway bc it seemed to be in really good shape cosmetics wise and had low miles. As soon as I left the check engine light came on and I contacted John, offered no help at all and instead offered excuses as to how it couldn t have been their fault. I have had to put the vehicle in a shop and am now faced with a $1000.00 bill to fix the issue. Hope everyone takes the time to read this, I don t want anyone else to get taken advantage of in the same way. Be careful out there, there are some shady people. I wish you the best in your car buying/service ventures.

Very trustworthy and knowledgeable!! I've done business with Joe and crew for years. If you find yourself in need of a mechanic take it from a local guy that this is where you should go. I recommend them all the time to my family, friends and customers without concern as to them being treated fair.

Every single experience with Auto Tune has been good. I m not going to say great because who the heck wants to spend money on repairs? No one! But in my case I have to in order to keep my car running. It s an older car and I need it to last. From oil changes to tire changes to control arms you name it these guys do it right . And yes you MIGHT Be able to find some backwoods mechanics that will charge less but Auto Tune s prices are fair and the work is A+++. Also sidenote I m a female and they never talk down to me or are condescending and they explain things to me so I always understand what is going on with my car. If you haven t figured it out by now I highly recommend these guys !
