The service level here is great. I received a call every step of the way when it came to what was wrong with our vehicle and how much it would cost. The follow up and ability of this shop to handle all of my cars needs will likely make me avoid going to the dealership in the future.

They provide fair and honest work. The Technicians they have on site seem to be experienced and know what they are doing. They have never tried to up sale me on anything. They thoroughly explain any issues, and provide you with options. I had moved to the Charlotte area around 6 years ago and struggled to find a good honest maintenance shop for my vehicle. I started using the Auto Shop of the Carolinas about 2.5 years ago and will continue to take my vehicle there.

I've been taking my 2019 Toyota Rav4 hybrid here for about a year and have always had great customer service. They keep me informed timely, service is fast, and the charge is always reasonable. I started using them because the Toyota dealership on South Blvd where I bought the car and previously had it serviced told me when I was there for maintenance under warranty that my car was fine and I didn't need anything. But then the service writer realized that the warranty had just expired and all of a sudden I need an alignment, etc, etc for a car with 15,000 miles.

Auto shop of the Carolinas is one of the most reliable auto shop places I ve ever found. They have taken car of both of my cars needs from tires to main repairs. They are always honest on what you need and will never try to sell you something you don t need.

There is not a more trusted auto shop in Charlotte. Rozel, Greg and the team are great to work with. Had multiple needs with our Honda CRV and they were able to identify the issue and knock out the repairs, same day. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE GREG WAS A STAND UP GUY , I WENT TO HAVE MY CAR CHECKED OVER AND A OIL CHANGE HAD A INTERLOCK THATS ALREADY INSTALLED IN MY CAR ,,GREG WAS VERY PATIENT AND NICE AND DELT WITH THE INTERLOCK PEOPLE TO GET THE CODE TO WORK ON MY VEHICLE THEN ALSO DECIDED TO HAVE AN ALIGNMENT DONE AFTER SEEING MY BILL WHICH I THOUGHT WOULD BE HIGH I WAS PLEASANTLY SUPPRISED THAT IT WAS REASONABLE ,,I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE THEM MY NEW AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOR ANY FUTURE NEEDS... Very professional. All cars are clean and the office is clean and they are respectful of the COVID regulations. This was such a great deal. They let me go and get the car inspected and gave me a fair price on what I asked for. Very happy with my new (used) car. Thanks guys!

My car died when I was 1000 miles from home- the nightmare- and I had to lean on reviews to find a mechanic. The reviews made me feel like this shop offered good service and maybe they were familiar with hybrid cars- that did not turn out to be the case. My Prius was towed to them on a Wed night. Thursday they couldn t find my keys, the tow truck driver did not put them in the lock box like instructed and it took the day for me to reach the tow truck driver to find out where my keys were. Not their fault I guess but I find it curious that no one there thought to check my back seat- where they were left. Friday morning I called, hoping for some clarity as they would be closed for the weekend and I needed to know whether to extend my hotel+rental car. The man answering seemed annoyed that I was calling, said he had no info for me but would call me back that afternoon, he didn t. Saturday and Sunday they were closed. Monday morning I called them and they said that they replaced a fuse but couldn t figure out what was wrong with it. Cost $130. Picked up my car and now the keyless start wasn t working. As soon we started driving a red triangle started flashing on the screen. We took the car to the Toyota dealership service center. Within an hour of dropping it off, Toyota sent me a video of the underside of my car and quickly diagnosed a broken water pump. Toyota s cost was super reasonable and they had my car fixed by Tuesday at lunch. I just wish I would have avoided Auto Shop of the Carolinas, that mistake cost me a $175 tow, hundreds of dollars in hotel stays while waiting and $135 for them to break my keyless start. They were awful at communication and clearly didn t know about hybrid cars. Avoid the headache, avoid the waste of money, avoid Auto Shop of the Carolinas. I strongly recommend Toyota of Rock Hill, they were amazing! Great communication, fair prices and phenomenal service.

For years we have had our cars, including my hybrid Camry, serviced here. I have referred many others here as well. They are completely trustworthy, they do only what is needed, do it well and efficiently, and do so charging much less than the dealership where I previously went for service. They've done everything from regular oil changes to replacement of my hybrid battery and not once have I been disappointed. We feel very fortunate to have a place like this to turn to and will continue to trust them with our cars.Services: Auto A/C recharge, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Air conditioning, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Oil change

Great to work with! They installed a shield to protect my catalytic converter, and did a great job, including adjusting it when I heard some rubbing just a simple adjustment on the shield. They were very reasonable, and knew a lot about my car! Later I took my car in when a warning light for tire pressure would not go away, and I had taken the car to Firestone, who did not know what the warning light was, then when I looked it up, they told me how to reset the warning light and that never worked at least three times (that was where I had just purchased a new set of tires).The manager at Hybrid Shop knew exactly what the problem was, had the mechanic check the diagnosis, and then told me the problem was common: as a Prius ages, a tire pressure sensor on each wheel that fails after about 8-10 yrs. Only two sensors were failing, so he suggested replacing only those two sensors for now. Saved me quite a bit of money. Since the wheels had to be removed it took some time, and the cost even with all the labor this entailed, was very reasonable. The shop has made careful, comfortable, and safe waiting rooms and also outdoor waiting areas. I have the utmost confidence in this company. I will take my car here for any work needed! Finding an excellent repair shop that is also very reasonably priced, is a Diamond in the rough!

Been taking my cars to them for 5 years and very time has been a great experience. Before Covid, they would offer to drop me off at work while my car was getting worked on, customer service was excellent. Every time something needs worked on they provide me a quote and explain what is going on, there's no convincing or trying to get me to fix things that don't need to be fixed. They are good honest people and I would recommended anyone to them.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

We came in for a diagnostic (that s it) and were told after everyone had left the building that we couldn t come get the car until after the weekend and they did repairs without our permission. No written or verbal consent for repairs, just a weekend without our car and over a $100 bill for them to screw a cap on. What makes it worse is I was personally recommended to this place. This is the place to go for professional service, I've been going for years. Started using this auto shop as a single mom so in counting coins they kept me afloat with what was necessary and always took my challenges into consideration while doing a great job in keeping my vehicles up and running between commute to work, missed school buses and chaffeuring the kids to their activities. They are honest, small but mighty! I've witnessed them grow and never falter on customer service! Very clean waiting room and facilities if you decide to wait, they work to get you in and out. I encourage all to consider this hidden gem for all your car needs!

I have been very fortunate to find Auto Shop of the Carolinas. They do honest great work and do not over charge you. And they stand by their work.I used to go to the neighborhood or mechanic shop near my house. NO MORE. Those types are out to get you, and take advantage of you. Knowing if I drive 20 to 25 minutes away and receive great service for the going price then it's well worth it. These folks just want to fix your problem and have a happy returning customer. Its business like it should be. I can not say enough great things.

I ve been going here for nearly 5 years and this is the only mechanic I have ever actually trusted! They re quick and efficient, affordable, highly communicative, and very candid about what s needed, why, and things they d recommend that are not necessary. Every interaction has been exceedingly transparent and respectful. Fantastic customer service! I have an older vehicle (2008 Prius) that needed A LOT of TLC in the span of 2 years- they were very generous with their time and attention. My experiences were always positive; thorough work, loaner vehicle offered, fair rates (often a fraction of what the dealership quoted me), and follow ups. Rozel is professional & friendly, the perfect person to greet and guide you through stressful car repairs. I truly appreciated their optimism and honesty about the extensive work I needed at the time. It was always done in a timely manner. Incredible service. I was traveling from New York state and not only did I receive Quick and Proper Service, it was met with extreme compassion and fairness and speed. I spoke with the manager Greg right when they opened (amazingly so early at 7am!) he was able to have my Kia Soul in by 8:30 am where they immediately assessed the problem (of a detached front passenger tire and broken axle) and offered me two very fair positions I could take. Considering I had to travel all the way back to New York State the following day, I went with the more extra of the two. The relief I had at the price and at the quality and at the time frame in which it was done well, it has been unmatched in any experience I have ever had in dealing with mechanics and car services in my life. Been a customer of theirs for over eighteen years and they are very good. Always honest and dependable. Always do an excellent job getting repairs and service on our company vehicles. Always have vehicles ready for pickup when promised and cost is good with the estimate they provide. Hopefully we will be using them for many years to come.

Won't take my car anywhere else for regular service. It's conveniently near my work and they always pick up and drop off my car for me. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Any issue I have had, the manager Trent has been quick to act and respond, as well as go the extra mile to look for other things with the vehicle while it's in their shop. It's not just an oil change and done shop. They want to make sure you're safe on the road when your car is returned to you.

Great repair shop! I brought my Prius in with all the dash lights on and they notified me about a manufacturer warranty that could cover the repair at a Toyota dealership. I only had to pay for the diagnostic. I will certainly be making this my regular repair shop. Very honest and thoughtful staff!

I am not one to usually write reviews, but wanted to give a shout out to the great service at Auto Shop of the Carolinas. Rozel was very nice and helpful and explained each part of the repair for my prius. I took 2 cars here in one week and am very satisfied with the repairs, the cost of the repairs, and the time it took. Even if you don't own a hybrid, this is a great place to take your car to get fixed!

Really happy that I found this auto shop. They took good care of my 15 year old ford hybrid. My engine lights recently turned on and the car stopped moving. They focused on the exact problem and solved the issues and didn t find any other things to sell me. I really appreciate the service I received. Thank you for helping me out
