Very helpful and didn't mind offering installation for the windshield wipers I purchased. They even offered to put them on the following day in the event I didn't want to wait that evening due to them preparing to close. The 3 ppl that were working in the front exuded very professional and courteous behavior. They provided me with good customer service and even made sure I got into my car safely when I exited the store because the parking lot was really dark.

Stopped in store to get a belt, the guy that helped me didn t know how to use the belt measure, asked me to come behind the counter, and I showed him how to use the devise. Needless to say prior to this he told me they didn t have any belts smh. Poor customer service.

Ridiculous team of managers hired here,very impolite ,disrespectful and rude. Spending their time in self talk.No reasonable understanding of what a warranty means for a defective item.Big shame .Before you go to this place,please read this. Thanks

This place is a joke. Do not go here to get anything we were in here for 2 hours for a battery. Purchase it online and the manager will not let me exchange it for another one in the store that was compatible for my vehicle because I purchase it online. Had to contact corporate office to get the manager at this store to exchange a simple battery. A very bad experience I will never go back there never again they need to fire the manager Samantha. She was rude curt and very unprofessional she needs to go home and relax.

8:30pm door locked with two black guy's sitting inside a red car with red interior full uniform make it make sense. Establishment Don t close until 9pm that s the West Side for you. Do better you never know who is in corporate. if you don t want to provide service up until closing time. Find another Customer service opportunity.

There is a clerk in there by the name of "TJ." He has a Terrible attitude and very poor customer service! I've been going there for years and have never been treated the way I was today! He is HORRIBLE!

Fennel was rude and seemed bothered to help.. I m not a mechanic nor do I work at advance auto but I was sent to buy a part and unfortunately was not given all the details necessary to pin point the exact item.. Fennel made it clear she was bothered and quickly scrolled through all the item options with an attitude. I just walked out and went elsewhere to get what I needed, I always come to this location but I won t be back after this encounter.

Was very happy with my experience and the help I received. The workers , Donovus specifically made sure I didn t walk out without what I needed and without being over charged. They showed empathy and overall had great customer service .

I went to this location for a curb side pick up. I called and the heavy set African American gentleman stated he cannot come outside because there anre only two people working. Okay , understandable! I am in a boot so I hobble in the store to see there are three employees working, two men and a female. The gentleman handed me my brake pads and rotors I had ordered. I grabbed the order and asked him, I thought it was only two of you in here? He then begin to grab the door for me because he now realizes I am in a boot! Pure laziness ! And this was the same gentleman that was outside putting on wind shield wipers when I first got there but , did not want to go back outside to carry the brakes! We have to do better!

I usually love coming here . 12/23/22 830am. I decided not to buy anything because the young lady seemed to not be enthused to help me. Just pointed in the direction where stuff was, I felt as if there was no customer service enthusiasm to want to assist me. I left and will spend my money elsewhere.

I went in yesterday to look for some locks for my lug nuts and I didn t see what I was looking for, so I kinda just was looking around to see if I saw anything of interest. Didn t see anything I left probably was in there 10 minutes. When I decided to leave I was followed by a worker and accused of stealing. I made a trip to the autozone just up the street before I came in and purchased wipes.When asked what I stole I was told I stole wipes but I never went into the section where they keep them and I genuinely confused. Icing on the cake was my word wasn t taken and i was asked to hand my wipes over to be checked out to see if they were used. When proven right I was given the wipes back.Being a regular shopper at this location and literally spending about $200 with them a week ago, it sucked I got profiled especially in the area that we live so it was belittling.Thanks Advanced Auto Parts

I am a regular customer here. Unfortunately, that has changed as they seem to be lenient toward sales of defective parts. Then won't take them back for the very same reason. It's a good store, just dont buy essential items like clutch master cylinders or worse, brakes. Last thing this community needs is a fatal accident because they take your hard earned money for a part they know is unsuitable. Word of advice, if you want your transmission fixed, or new brakes put on your daughter's Volkswagen Beetle, go to the Freedom drive store. Switch stores, and you can switch gears. Stop shopping here, And you'll stop your car.

I left my battery here to be charged overnight more than enough time by black guy Edsell and it was not charged! He had attitude at me bc he failed to charge it nor did he apologized. So now I m having to wait longer this inconvenienced me!

I give 5 stars to the employees that assisted me with getting my battery checked! However the manager Toni oh my God she is the worst!! She is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNPLEASANT AND UNPROFESSIONAL. She speaks to her employees as if they are beneath her in a demeaning way. She does this in front of customers which makes it worse. This woman does not need to be a manager. She needs to be removed from the public!!!

This location, though always busy, has been top notch every time I've gone. The very fact that it is so busy is a clue that they know what they're doing, and that's why there are always so many folks in there, so just be patient and respectful of those other people who are also wanting someone to take the time to treat them with awesome customer service just like you do. Another post mentioned Brent and so will I. I went to 4 different advance auto stores in search of a part...each store sent me to the next store down the road and then the next but each time the part was still wrong. I had given up and was tired of driving around so I headed home. I happened to be passing by the sunset store and decided to give it one more shot. I waited for Brent to help me becuadr he had helped me a few days prior. He found the part that 4 other stores couldn't find. Simple and easy. Wish I had started my day at that store! Brent at sunset is now my go to guy.Go Brent! Awesome customer service, friendly, knowledgeable, A+!

Excellent customer service. I had called the night before looking for a car battery. I was told by the Rep it was not at their location but, I was informed which location did have it.I decided to stop by the store I had called to ensure I got to the alternate store location. But, while there, they found the battery and installed it! And, I was told I needed power steering fluid. Placed that in my car too. I will return.

This is one of the only places I shop great customer service the man is a Terry will take care of you. But like many places it really depends on the staff you have when you go my overall impression is I really like it I've never had a problem with returns are any issue that arose So I would recommend it

They did not have the battery in stock that I wanted, so I got a different one, but the service was excellent. Samantha was very helpful and professional. I wish more auto parts stores had employees with good attitudes like hers. I will go there again.

The associates at this location are always very helpful. I've yet to run into anyone with a negative attitude. Helpful and curtious. Mr. Cisco was especially considerate. I'm unable to move as fast as others most of the time. This individual spotted me getting out of my vehicle and came to my aid. He has a very kind heart. Lot of folks wouldn't have done that. I appreciate the love. People nowadays are fast to throw you under the bus and not blink. In my book what he did for me goes a long way. That's just another reason I'll continue to shop there. My experience today at Advance Auto Parts located at: 4309 Sunset Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216 was beyond disgraceful, unprofessional, and the most poor customer service I have received in a long time from an establishment. DETAILS OF MY EXPERIENCE: I purchased a head light from that same location a few months ago. Because I purchased it from there, one of the associates installed the headlight in my car. Less than a few months later, it stopped working, so today I went to the location at: 4309 Sunset Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216 to get the issue resolved. The associate looked up my phone number, found my proof of purchase, verified the item had a one year warranty, and agreed to exchange it. I advised that the bad headlight was installed by an associate there and I am a woman who knows nothing about how to remove/install a headlight on my vehicle. The associate then tried to get me to buy a new one (knowing the bad one they sold and installed for me was under warranty). knowing my rights and what I am entitled to, I refused to purchase a new one. The associate then got the (self-proclaimed) store manager involved. The guy who claimed to be the store manger told me that I would have to get the headlight myself and no one there could nor would help me remove it or install one. I was very confused as to why I was being refused customer service/assistance with an issue that other associates have helped me with at that location not to long ago. I asked the store manager to get get me some assistance because I am entitled to an even exchange (which they verified) and someone to help replace the detective item with the new one. The manger again refused to assisted me. The associate suggested that I wait until another associate comes in at 6pm-EST. I asked for a chair so that I could sit down because it would be at least 40 minutes before the other associate arrived. After waiting a while, I asked the store manager, since I'm waiting for another associate will they be able to help me when they arrived? He replied, no, they won't be able to help you neither". By this time, I had gotten extremely upset because not only were all three male associates refusing to assist me, but now they have wasted my time. I arrived when the sky was clear and good weather. By the time I realized that no one was going to help me, ti was raining hard, extremely foggy, storming, and now these fully capable men who works for this company has put me in a position where I was forced to leave the place of business without resolve and in worse condition than what I had arrived. I now had to drive without a working headlight in a storm, simply because these men could help me but refused to. I will be sharing my experience with many others and abroad in effects to bring awareness that this location needs major adjustments in the area of customer service/support. The associates lack of concern for their customers safety involving products purchase from their location is sickening. Something needs to be done to resolve the lack of training and piss poor customer service at this location. MY RECOMMENDATION: Don't do business here until they learn to stop being lazy and accommodate their customers just as their competitors do.Surprisingly, the associates there recommended that I go visit their competitor (Auto Zone) because they said that they would put the headlight on for me.... What a disgrace.

Very helpful staff, however if you are second in line you might find the wait a bit long, but at least you know you will receive the same unharried service. There is a great mechanic who works next to the building, his prices are low and I have had him do work for me and friends almost yearly.

Omg the experience was the greatest, specially with ladies in a man setting, from knowing what part I needed to really taking the time out and helping me. Atmosphere was awesome, I've came here many times and never had any issues. Ladies thank you for a all around great experience and thank you for giving me knowledgeable tips each time!!!!!!! I'm always pleased with y'all at Sunset!!!!

This is one of the few Advance Auto stores that do what many have extreme difficulty doing. Actually, getting you checked out at the cash register. They're always friendly too.

My visits here are for the most part uneventful. The staff at this location have been courteous, helpful and have shown knowledge about store products. I have gone here and was provided customer service from various employees. From one to the other there wasn't a drop in service or freindliness. Store is clean and organized.I'd like to address the review made by MP serveral months ago. He was very insulting to the women of this location. In my opinion someone who expresses their opinion in such a way as to be insulting speaks to the person themselves. To toss our terms such as ghetto and manlike to degrade again speaks to the reviewer more so than the reviewee. More to the point. The ladies at this store know their stuff. They are on equal ground in terms of knowledge and service with their counterparts.As far as my rating. I only gave them 4 stars because it was very hot and the A/C wasn't getting the job done. Not so terrible though. In retrospect they had a large volume of customers coming and going.Keep up the good work Ladies and Gentlemen.

Very friendly and helpful staff who never have a problem helping out their customers in and outside the store. Very knowledgeable about all the auto parts they sell and can always find what you need no matter the make, model or year of your vehicle and they would never judge anyone by the vehicle they were driving, repairing or inquiring about!
