There is NOTHING IN THE WORLD more frustrating for a female than dealing with car mechanics. Let's take today's interaction as an example.Me: I have a squeal in my front drivers side wheel - it's very light but stops when I apply the brake. I'm trading it in in 4 weeks but will be driving it approx 3000 miles between now and then. Please to diagnose, replace front wheel pads, how much?Them: Well ma'am - a front wheel brake job consists of the brake pads and resurfacing the rotors. That is $600.00 to start and if we have to add brake fluid it could go as much as $1,000.00.Me: (dumbfounded) So you won't just replace the pads?Them: You'll need to take it to a Mom Pop shop - we don't do 1/2 of a job here.Me: Leaving checking shirt to see if I have "sucker" pasted above my t!ts!Apparently AAA Auto Repair is too "bougie" to do 1/2 a job!(brake fluid is about $7.00/can - how can adding brake fluid add an extra $300.00 to the fee?)

Barry was my service writer. He set up my appointment, checked me in, had my inspection report texted to me, reviewed it with me, offered his recommendations, & helped me pick out two new tires. Barry was honest, kind, & helpful. We all need a Barry in our office. Thanks guys!

These guys are SCAMMERS!!! Do not let them work on your car or take any of their recommendations. I went in for a simple oil change and they told me two of my axles needed to be replaced and realigned. The cost of this job was over $1000. Hesitant, I took my car to another shop to get a second opinion. The other shop told me my axles were fine and didn t need to be worked on at all. Nice try AAA you won t be scamming me today. Shame on AAA for trying to take advantage. Shame on the service writer Paul Roberts for attempting to rip me off. Don t let these criminals trick you into paying for unnecessary work. Take your car elsewhere.

Don t go to this location for AAA car care. Was charged for battery service when my AAA plus membership covers it. The manager of this store rung me up and stated he wasn t ripping me off and he indeed was. On top of that was told my battery plugs were dirty and he charged me $75 to clean it. Two days later the vehicle wouldn t start, they will false diagnose your car. Thankfully another AAA car care center in Pineville-Matthews took great cere of me. No issues at all. Don t go here. Followed up with the store as well to report this & never received a call back from the manager because he knows he s in the wrong and continues to rip many others off.

Great service every single time. Been coming to these guys and other AAA Car Care locations for years and never had a single problem. Mike and his team will take care of you.

The car service department was extremely rude and ripped me off completely.I went into the shop with a simple request to lock my window motor, so that my car window stays up and doesn't fall down (the window motor gave out). I told them the diagnosis of the issue CLEARLY, because I wanted to make sure that they understood. I have had this issue before, so I knew the simple solution of how to fix it. Since I am not a mechanic, I trusted they would know how. I told them I did not and could not afford a complete replacement of the part, I just needed a meantime solution (to lock the motor!!) The man at the auto check in claimed he understood my request. He and the mechanic clearly didn't.I went to go pick up my car they said was "ready". after I paid, I went to my car and the window was completely unready and not fixed at all. It was all the way down. I went and told them hey this isn't fixed.... they rudely scoffed at me and pulled it up aggressively and put a rubber wedge in the window. Yeah what a great service for $75.... NOT.Not only did they not listen to my simple and clear service request, but they were rude. We just went back and they said because I am not willing to buy the whole part replacement for $600, that they "can't lock the motor". A waste of my money and time.Completely rude, especially after being a AAA member for years and not even needing their service until now.

Tony was a pleasure to work with, I got new tires installed at AAA at Montford. I appreciate his honesty as he checked the alignment on my car and suggested I did not needed to have my car aligned as it looked good. Would definitely go back and work with Tony.

The oil change itself was fine, done within the time quoted and the employee was friendly. However, I was told that the car needed $772.11 worth of work including things I knew had been done at the 30,000 mile service and so I declined the work. I took the Subaru to Duckworth where I have all work, other than oil changes done on it. I gave them the list of things AAA said needed to be done expecting them to say at least filters needed changing. It needed absolutely nothing done to it. They charged me $0 for their time and knowledge. I am extremely disappointed in AAA and will not be returning.Service: Oil change

Our family drives old cars; we are accustom to the maintenance and unexpected breakdowns. We have years of positive experiences with AAA. Our experience, today, was terrible. The AAA customer service guy (after being asked to help by his co-worker after a line had formed and he was repeatedly texting on his phone) told us that there was not a labor charge for our requested battery service. When questioned about the labor charge on the bill, he ANGRILY responded that we were mistaken -- we had been totally informed. We can afford to pay for his lack of disclosure, but his lack of trustworthiness and subsequent exploding anger is enough to keep us from returning to this AAA location.

Minor service done but they were very quick and responsive. I needed a valve stem replaced on a spare tire and dropped the tire off. Within 45 minutes they said it was ready. We will definitely try them again for other services.Service: TiresService: Tires

I had a screw in my tire and it was not holding air pressure. I am AAA member. I walked in without appointment because I could not get appointment for 3 days to the closest AAA car care center. I dropped off my car and they were finished with the repair in just over two hours. Affordable price. Quick service. More conveniently located than dealership. Friendly. Professional. I highly recommend this location and will use them again.Service: Tires

my towing belt broke. they told me it would take $1,500 to fix it. i got it fixed at my trusted mechanic for only $250. on top they charged me $129 for diagnosis. very bad service, thought they could rip me cause I didn't look like i knew much about cars. very unhelpful staff. never getting a AAA membership.

The upcharge on parts is outrageous. The upcharge was 4 to 5 times the prices of the same item on Amazon. Buyer beware. Take your chance. For me, I will never set foot in another AAA car care again. Even if my car breaks down in front of one, I will request my AAA membership tow me to another auto care facility. I recommend my family and friends to the same and if they need a tow....I got them.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I had an appointment for inspection, and after dropping my car on time they told me it will take an hour to do the inspection. Interestingly when I came back they haven't even started and they didn't feel any responsibility to give me a call about the delay. The car was still outside and they went to pull it in when I went over to get my car! Very poor service, the service consultant simply didn't care. He told me "that it what do you want me to do". I got my key and left the store. Although in general I have to spend more time to schedule and take my car to another auto shop, I hate irresponsible business that don't care about their customers. I won't use AAA auto shops any more!

friendly people, but... uh... check everything on their inspection report. they told me my brake fluid was critical, so I got some to top off, opened the hood.... nah, it's fine. figured they did it.turns out it wasnt that... my coolant was low. barely managed to avoid overheating and I have no idea if I'm out of the woods yet. coolant was marked "good" on the report.so thanks for that.

The customer service here is beyond amazing, some of the best I ve ever had. Normally, I feel uncomfortable in car care settings. The men who worked with me were awesome, the conversations we had were awesome; they treated me as if they were fixing their daughter s car. I will 110% be returning here for any future car problems. Thank you again AAA!Service: Brakes

It is reassuring to take my vehicle to a place that I know that I can trust. With the online inspection and payment system that have been put into place, I get information that helps me to know (and see) areas that I should be concerned about and address immediately, and those that need to be addressed in the near future - and then pay for the service provided conveniently and securely online. This location is always so clean and the staff is always friendly and have your and your vehicle's best interest at heart. I drive by a dozen other shops that provide the same services along my 20+ mile route to get to this particular store. They take care of all three of my vehicles.

I got my suv towed here and the staff was reassuring about getting my car running again. They let me know what service I needed to get back on the road and provided information about future services I would need without any fuss. I m very grateful for the straightforward experience and I plan to return for future services. Mark was also very helpful on the phone.

This AAA facility took in my car and started repairing what another AAA facility evidently couldn't. There's still work to be corrected and the fact they are more than willing to stand behind the parts and service warranty for work they initially did not even perform makes this facility a class act. At no time did they try to dismiss my concerns or make excuses for the other AAA facility's oversight. Real pros. Great service. Fair pricing. Highly recommended.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

I have enjoyed repeated quality service at this AAA location. I feel assured of the care my car has been performed correctly and there is only suggestions for additional services they can provide, no "hard selling." It is very easy to make/reschedule appointments and everyone on their staff is polite and professional.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, BrakesServices: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

I have been a AAA customer for several years. I am always impressed by their standard of service and customer care. If I have to wait for my car, there is a comfortable lounge. If I need to drop it off, they help me get home. Most important, I trust their diagnostics.

nice receptionists; skilled mechanics. In general, AAA provides insightful categorized inspection reports and will contact you for approval before performing any additional services.Sometimes the additional services they recommend are a bit of a money grab (i.e. After fixing an Evaporative Emission System Leak they quoted me another $50 to replace my fuel tank cap, which is a valid recommended service item... I just did it myself in 20 seconds for $17 off Amazon), which is probably applicable to most auto care shops Firestone etc. but just be advised. They'll pay for your Lyft ride home if you have to leave your car, which is super convenient.

I went in for the annual NC State inspection -- it was super-easy to get an appointment. They started working on my car within minutes of me dropping it off. I had a text message with the test results and recommendations before I could even finish lunch at the Taco Bell next door. Mike was very friendly and helpful... will definitely return for other services.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I got my brakes done at this location. They were very helpful and courteous. They explained everything and got my brakes done quickly. No service was performed until I was consulted and I found the quote to be very reasonable. I was even offered a ride back to work through their courtesy service. I was on my way to Firestone but glad I drove by the Montford AAA instead! I will definitely return there if I need service again and I would certainly recommend them.

Decent enough location (handy to walk to other places) but service very slow for an oil change and rotation. I made an appt and still took two hours - also, tried to upsell services like air filter change but didn't indicate they didn't have the actual filter, which just made the whole appt longer. Going forward will likely go somewhere else because no real benefit to visiting AAA location if the cost and time is the same as others. . .Service: Oil change

Chip over at AAA took great care of me as he helped me determine which tires I wanted on my Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country. He was straight up about the pricing and didn't try to oversell. I scheduled the appointment once I had the tires picked out and he called me up and even gave me a ride home so I didn't have to wait around the shop while they changed the tires. Thanks Chip. Good work and great customer service. I'll be back.

I made an appointment yesterday and even CALLED the store to CONFIRM they would have a battery and was told YES. I got there today and after waiting OVER AN HOUR for a battery test was told they DID NOT have a battery. On top of it the service person did not bother to help me locate a battery at another location but said he was sorry and would pull my truck around. Luckily 10 minutes later I found a different company that did a test in 2 minutes and installed a brand new battery in about 10 minutes. I would never recommend AAA for car care. Waste of my time!Service: Battery

I normally take my car to the dealership in Huntersville for my oil change; however, for the last couple of years I took my car to the AAA Montford location because it's 10 minutes from my home. Ever since I took my car to this location, they always managed to find something wrong with my car. I always get the work done and even though the work was done and they still rec. the same work that was supposed to be fixed last year. They don't know what they're doing and or they're not doing the work correctly. I spoke to Mike Slone who is the manager and he was extremely rude, not helpful and very un-professional. I tried talking to him about it and he got irritated with me. I told him that i have put so much money getting the work done and the issues is still there and I just don't understand. He even responded by saying "well, did you pay $10k on the repairs?" It was HORRIBLE! I will not be returning to this place.

they have always treated me like family and the process is always great. Every time I leave I feel satisfied about my experience and the work being done to my vehicles. Just now I went to pick up my 2000 BMW before I did I wanted to check out the parts I noticed under the hood something was cracked I brought it to their attention and immediately they ordered the part and is on the way. any other dealership/auto care place would ve turned a blind eye to it

I was here 2 weeks ago for spark plugs and oil change - 300$ and a week later they charged me 100$ for check engine check that autozone will check for FREE. Comes to find out my car was misfiring and almost bricked because THEY forgot a spark plug and didn t plug the wires back right .The fact they forgot something and I almost lost my car is a reason you should not come back to AAA. I called them twice about my car and seemed they had no solution. Please go to a black own auto shop not this over priced mess they run at AAA. They will over charge you.
