Drove in fine. Dropped off the car first thing. They called right before closing that the car won't start. I don't know what they did. I needed a new key. I was stranded in their parking lot waiting for a locksmith. They all walked around me. No one ever asked me anything. No one offered any resolutions. I got nothing but attitude. I spend $500 right in their parking lot. On top of that I had to find a shop that's open later just to get the repairs I initially needed. I spent a lot of money that day. None of it to thus shop. I suggest you take your money elsewhere

Chris Long, Store Manager and Lexi, Customer Service were professional, understanding under stressful conditions and emotionally supportive to my wife, brother-in-law, Smokie, our dog and myself. The technician performed superbly in getting our car repaired. Highly. Recommend this shop for your automotive needs.

I wonder if Chapel Hill Tire is up selling ? I went in expecting a reasonable bill and it was more than double. So many car service centers do this that I do not feel confident about their trustworthiness.Attention to detail was not their forte. I had to return to get the oil level indicator reset.

It cost $41 to plug a hole in the tire. Other places cost $5 -$10 . We was 2 hours and a half drive back home . The lady in the front said the waiting will be at least 1hour and a half to 2 hours . We was going to drive off . But we talk to 1 of the mechanics . He was very nice . He got us in within 15 minutes.

I had a very good experience last week when I went to take my car in for an oil change. The person who checked me in was polite, gave me a time frame for my car being done & it was done when they said it would be. They offered coffee and bottles of water to those waiting, and a very nice gentleman was on hand to give customers a ride home. They also texted me several times to keep me up to date including a report of each part of my car they checked and how that part was performing and pictures of my tires to let me know how they looked in terms of tread for my tire rotation.

Most shops I've been to have only charged me 60 to 75 for a diagnostic fee because they know they're going to get the repair job. Chapel Hill tire charged me 192 to tell me I had a hole in my radiator. The main issue I had was my brake lights not working and I told them I replaced the bulbs and check the fuses but it was deeper than that. So they replaced the bulbs and told me that that didn't work that it was going to be an additional $136 diagnostics fee to go do an electrical diagnostics. If you want the work, put the charge in the bill not in the diagnostics. This is ridiculous. I will never use chapel Hill tire again!!!!!!

The front desk crew is fantastic. The techs. I just can t trust bringing my vehicle there ever again. A very rude tech was given my vehicle to check the TPMS code. He came in very angry saying he couldn t do anything the car was in valet mode. That s correct valet mode tells me how far and fast you drive my car. Has nothing to do with the system. They claimed they cleared the code and I just needed to drive. Blatant lie. Got in the car. Code was still there. I saw he was holding an AUTEL machine so I went to my office overnighted the AUTEL machine and simply plugging it into the OBD2 which he didn t do and I know he didn t. I was able to see the code caused by the rear drivers sensor and clear it. Now I m going to have new sensors installed. Just not ever at Chapel Hill tire. The tech was angry he couldn t joy ride my car and it s very disrespectful.edit. The manager is also a liar. Valet mode does not lock the OBD2 from communicating, it s just another excuse proving the incompetency. I have even tested this with my AUTEL tool with the car in valet mode. Valet mode on the stinger is only so that I get a report on my app of speed and location every minute, doe not lock down or prevent anything. Pictures to prove it. In valet mode. Read the IBU and have all the TPMs data.

It was only okay. They promised me the car would be ready by 3 pm but it wasn t ready until the next day. No big deal since I wasn t in a hurry. But when I picked up my car after having five tires mounted I noticed I only had one valve stem cap and when I got home I checked the air pressure. All tires were at 42psi. The front ones were supposed to be at 36psi and the rears 49psi so they were incorrectly inflated. The lug nut torque is specified at 66 ft-lbs and they were much tighter so that was incorrect as well. In the old days I would choose not to do business with them again due to their incompetence; but unfortunately that level of incompetence has become the industry standard. I don t know of another tire dealership in which they would care enough to make sure everything was as the manufacturer specified. It is sad to me that we settle for such lackadaisical standards in the automotive service industry.UPDATE: I received the nicest call from the manager of this Chapel Hill Tire location. He apologized for their mistakes and wanted to know how to make it up to me. We had a long talk about how difficult it is for service industries to find good workers who take pride in their jobs and take seriously their responsibility to do not just a good job but a superior job, to actually care about what they do and make sure everything they do is done correctly. I was so impressed by this manager. He is one who really does take pride in his work and I was so appreciative of his call. He asked what he could to make it up to me and I said You just did simply by calling me. Thanks again.Service: Tires

I brought in my car for an oil and battery change. The overall process was smooth and I appreciate being able to drop off my car in the morning and get it back the same day. However, the battery change affected my GPS clock inside the car, placing the time 4 hours ahead. I don't have away to adjust that on my own, so I reached out for help. I was told to bring my car back and it would be fixed. The tech who took my car let me half way explain the problem and told me "I think I know the problem." My car was taken away for a few minutes. When it was brought back, I was told it was fixed. Unfortunately, the tech left it in the manual clock setting (which I could adjust to the correct time) and did not fix the GPS configuration. I pointed this out to him and he told me to contact Hyundai because there was nothing he could do. I was disappointed by the dismissal of the problem. There was no escalation nor ask for additional help from someone else. In addition, being told it was fixed when it wasn't was also off-putting. I wish I had caught this problem before driving away with my car after the original appointment. I think there may have been more help then. Instead, this felt more like I was brushed off since it was a few days later.

I highly recommend Chapel Hill Tire at Cole Park Plaza. They were able to fix my tire the very next day and didn't try to talk me into buying new tires. The shuttle service was an added bonus.

It was okay, but not great. Really appreciate the extra eyes to replace the tires and not upsell to a higher-cost ones. My concerns are related to:1. Operating hours - for routine tire replacement for those with a flexible schedule, M-F 8-4 may work; however, they re definitely limiting their client base with those hours. Perhaps more local competition may be of benefit.2. Responsiveness - my car was towed in around 9am on a Friday for a completely flat tire. I could hear the air gushing out from a puncture caused by road debris. I get that there were others in the queue but wish they had looked at it prior to 3pm that afternoon - an hour before they closed for the weekend, and well past a time they could have requested new tires3. Communication - I had to call to get any status updates. I got a text when the repair person was looking at it, but when it came to when it might be ready I initiated those conversations. Including on the day it was eventually done - I didn t want to pester but when it got to be 3pm on the day that it should have been completed (that Monday) I called in - they would be closed in an hour.So yes, honest work, reasonable pricing, clean facilities, and prompt call pickup. Definitely room for improvement as described above.

This place is great! Unbelievable customer service. I went there because my check engine/brake and other numerous lights were on my SUV. They happened to be in the same parking lot; so I pulled in looking for help. They immediately got someone to check out the problem; even though I didn t have an appointment. They ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle; and tried to determine what was the issue. Unfortunately; after trying many things; they were unable to fix the problem; however; the fact that they even tried to help me meant so much to me. They were professional; and more important honest, which goes a long way with me. They even had one of their employees follow me home; to make sure I made it there safely and didn t break down. They certainly exceeded my expectations; and I will be back!

Used to know quite a few folks there, and we'd regularly get our cars serviced. Service was great and never pushed for unnecessary repairs or PM. Don't recognize anyone there anymore, and a state inspection now comes with a $5k wishlist of repairs they want to do. Very disappointed to see the transition away from a trustworthy local repair shop.

If you have a fluid service at Chapel Hill Tire oil, brake, transmission there is a high probability you will be leaking something after the service. Had brake fluid service earlier this year. I now have brake fluid leak. Had oil change a year ago. Then had an oil leak that they later did not care to take the time to find. Last visit I heard another customer say he gets an oil leak after half of his changes. Not worth the post-service troubles.

I ve used Chapel Hill tire for brakes, replacement belts, oil changes, inspections, fluids. Took my car in this time for basic oil change and to check belts for the third time (that had been replaced by CHT). They screech on start up and hard turns. Supposedly, they finally fixed that problem but as soon as I started the car I had the same issue. I m basically gonna give up on getting that repair done correctly and probably won t be back. Other than that issue they have a great customer service department. Maybe they need to get some better mechanics.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

Call over and over you won t get an answer. Book online and when you show up for your booked appointment apparently there is issues with that system too and it did not go through But that s okay! We could wait all day for a 10 minute oil change that we thought we had booked for a specific time in the morning. There s clearly some front end customer service issues that need fixed. Can t rate service because we never got that far.

We had a great experience at CHTireMichael was exceptional at diagnosing my noisy ride issue and rectified by replacing my faulty front tires. He patiently took test drives with me and solved the problem. Tim the technician was also very professional. The tire pricing was very competitive and the entire experience exceeded expectations. I recommend wholeheartedly.GarryOctober 27, 2023Service: Tires

Mike listened patiently to my description of symptoms, worked me in so I could leave in time to drive to my oncology appointment in Charleston, SC. He informed me along the way starting with a diagnostic picture. I called and he answered my questions. I know understand how a water pump works! I approved the work and was able to drive confidently to my appointment in Charleston SC. Thanks, Mike and the team for fixing my car!Service: Auto water leak repair

Excellent service re their mechanics.. One problem: They haven't answered their phone for almost a year, and don't seem to care when I ask them about it. I'm guessing their owners would be upset about that cavalier attitude.Service: TiresService: Tires

Yes, they changed the oil in my car and reset the oil monitor. But they also changed the speed of my car to kilometers per hour and messed up several other settings. I am still trying to undo the mess that they did.

I discovered that one of my front tires was losing air. I saw a nail, so I called CHT. My schedule was very tight for the day and I had rides down and back only for short windows. The representative told me to bring it down and they would get it done by the end of the day. I received a text when they began working on my car, and another one at 3:30 PM to let me know it was done. Great communication. The rep who helped me and the woman who checked me out were very professional and friendly. I truly appreciated their willingness to help me on a challenging day..
