After an unfortunate encounter with someone who may have been having a bad day I left a poor review but I am following up because Amber at the front desk who is patient and kind went above and beyond to come talk to me. I had a dangerous issue with my car that did end up being addressed because of her caring nature and I am incredibly grateful. The manager Aaron made me feel welcome and appreciated. In the end I really do appreciate the quality and service I got at Chapel Hill Tire!

Good place to take your car! Staff are understanding and easy to talk to about options with pros and cons. Does take alittle time to actually get your car done but that s the same everywhere. They do provide free coffee while you wait

After having a time blown out on me on the way to Chapel Hill where I drive on my donut I called around to find a new tire for my vehicle. I called around and finally called Chapel Hill tires and a gentleman named Aaron said that they can get the tire in for me and haven't fixed it in no time. They didn't have it at their premises but he went and got it at one of their sister stations and brought it back. It was in and out of there and a blank eye of the whole staff. Wonderful! Five and a love stars if I could give.

My car broke down they helped me to get a Tow quickly offered me a ride to a local Hotel while I waited for my parts to come in following day. They started as soon as they opened gave me a fair price I have nothing bad to say about Chapel Hill Tire come on in give them a try, for all your car needs, ask for Amber tell her I sent ya! Also do NC state Inspection.

Be careful. They ll try to sell you on unnecessary repairs such as brake services. It didn t make sense and I decided to check for myself and the brake pads were barely worn and the rotors were in great condition. It s shady business practice

Took my daughter s Subaru Impreza here to swap out summer tires to winter tires. Already owned the tires, just needed mount and balance with one tire needing a puncture plugged. I did not ask for a quote as I swap out tires annually and have never paid more the $25 per tire ($100 total).When I picked up the car, I was shocked $257.79!!! They did not charge me for the puncture repair, which I thought was decent of them; but they obviously made up for it by overcharging for the Mount/balance. (The repair would ve only cost $10-25 at any other shop). I argued that the charge couldn t be right, but the salesman said that he had told me the price ahead of time. I assured him that he had not, as I would not have paid that amount for swapping out tires. I paid the bill and figured it was a lesson learned about this place of business.I was in for one more surprise, though, before I left. I was informed that one of the lugs had stripped on one of the wheels and was not guaranteed to hold anymore. They told me it was a Subaru thing and was common. This is my fourth Subaru and this car is only 3 years old, so I know that it was much more likely a careless, over-zealous air-ratchet operator than it was a Subaru thing. I have never had a lug strip in any previous Subaru.I will not be back to this tire shop or any other in their franchise.If you deal with them, be sure to get a quote. Better yet, go somewhere else.

Mr. William is a great mechanic. Very knowledgeable about his job and can tell he loves his job. Great man and great friend now! I feel like family when I come in and he helps figure out the problem with my vehicles.Always Ask For William!

Extremely overpriced. Brought car in for issues shifting and the problem came back three days later. They said different part happened to go bad three days later after charging over $1500 the week before. Yet somehow this part did not show up on their initial screening of things to fix. Would never recommend to anyone.

They changed my purge valve in the Spring and it is failed again in few months. When I bring the car back to the store, Jamie told me it s not the purge valve issue and they asked me to pay another $300 diagnosis fee to check my car. So I bring my car to the dealership and pay almost $200 to confirm my concern, yes! It was the purge valve failed. Then I bring the report back to chapel hill tire, they refused to reimburse me and only agree to refix the purge valve. The first time after they fixed the purges valve, my car had hissing noise and same for the second time, so I have to bring back my car to them, I was told they re done with me, It s not their problem after Jamie check my car, not even a technician looking at. Hard to believe they treat customers this way!

If they fixed bikes I wouldn t even bring a tricycle here. I went here for a fuel injection service and left with a coolant leak. I got the coolant leak repaired here and less than 24 hours my transmission went out with ZERO warning. If you go there you ll be right back within 2-3 weeks.

They fixed a flat tire for me on a very bad day. It was an emergency for me and they fit me in, took care of it quickly, found the issue and were extremely kind and helpful. I was so grateful!

I love Chapel Hill Tire. I use them for normal car maintenance, but recently experienced some issues with my car, which concerned me. I called them and asked if they could get me in (that same day) to check it, and they said yes-immediately. If they say something is wrong, ask them to show it to you!!I have gone to CHT for a few years now for annual inspections and never had an issue before. This year I took my car in and after 20 min or so one of the front desk employees comes out, tells me they found a bubble in the side of one of my tires, and hands me a quote for 4 brand new tires (he said they were purchased in X year and needed to be replaced soon and they had a deal going or something like that). He said with the tire as it was, my car would fail inspection. Luckily, my spare tire was a real tire (not the donut kind) so I asked them to put the spare on so it would pass and I d deal with the other tire later (they charged me like $18 to put the spare on, which I was fine with because it was hot as heck outside and I didn t want to do it myself lol). Well, I'm still kicking myself that I didn t have them show me the bubble they were talking about! Because lo and behold, I couldn t find a bubble, just a manufacturers defect that had been on the tire for years. I understand they want to sell you things, but always make sure you re well informed and if they say something is wrong with your car ask them to show you!

Change the rating to one. Last week changed engine oil here and yesterday the bottom cover falls off. The thing is: this is the second time. It happened a year ago too. When I talked to the representative to express my unhapiness. His answer is that it is a cheap piece of plastic and poor design. But I have own the car for 7 years and has tens of oil change at other places too. But the plate only falls off after the service at this location! I worked here as a service advisor for seven years, having worked as a technician, primarily at dealerships, beforehand. From firsthand, behind-the-scenes experience, I can unequivocally say that there is no other auto repair business where EVERYONE, from general service technicians to managers, has such a strong commitment to ethics and to doing the right thing. They only recommend work that needs doing, and prioritize things according to importance.Additionally, all four of the master-level technicians at this location (William, Vaughn, Mike, and Drew) are extremely proficient at their jobs, and I would trust any of them to do any level of repair on my personal vehicles. I have never worked at another shop where there was not a SINGLE weak link in the chain. I left the business to pursue a higher education, but I still come here for all of my automotive needs in spite of living more than thirty minutes' drive away.This is hands-down the best shop in the Triangle, if not the state.

I took my car in for an oil change. This was my first time coming to this place. Later, my engine light came on. I paid $80+ for a car inspection/diagnostic regarding the engine light. I was told it was the mass air flow system that had gone bad. It would cost me around $500 (part and labor) to fix it. I decided to get another diagnostics and inspection look at my actual dealership with the car (Mazda). Within 10 minutes, the guy said that Chapel Hill Tire did not properly close my air filter from when they did my oil change, which triggered my engine light coming on. I am so thankful that Mazda did not charge me for this service. Never again will I be going to Chapel Hill Tire. Be cautious when going here.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

I have had a great experience with Chapel hill tire. They are friendly, honestly and helpful. They quickly diagnosed my car's problem and repaired it. Thank Ahrian and technician ( sorry forgot his name)so much. I will definitely recommend them.

Squeezed me in at last moment for a same day inspection! Pleasant and delightful to deal with in every aspect. Mexican restaurant next door offered a great alternative to waiting there. I replaced my tie rods, then brought it in for alignment. They were quick and corrected the alignment. I asked for some advice and they gave me incorrect advice. Glad I got a second opnion. I didn't see any coffee; however, they have a nice waiting area should you choose to wait. Convenient location off of Fordham. Parking is tight.

Took my mom to her drs appt in Chapel Hill (we are not local) and her tire light came on. Stopped there to get some air to get us home. They found a nail in the tire. NEW UPDATE - February 2024 Took vehicle in to fix an oil leak. They explained the problem details to me and did an excellent job with the repair. My 21 year old Camry is feeling good !!!NEW UPDATE - May 2023 My 20 year old Toyota needed new struts and repair of a pesky radiator leak. They did a great job and I am very happy with their service !!!2022-I have been getting cars, trucks and horse trailers serviced at this location for a long time. I've been taking cars to Chapel Hill Tire (and previously to Auto-Pro-to-Call) for 15+ years and have always had a great experience. They are friendly, diagnose the problem with my vehicle (if I don't already know) and offer options and quote costs quickly, and efficiently provide whatever service is needed. They are available to personally explain the problem to me so that I know what I'm paying for. I have appreciated their loaner car service on several occasions. Unless it's something they can't repair, they are always my first choice in auto servicing. When they expanded the number of locations, I was afraid they would lose their personal attentiveness. That has not happened and it seems the expansion has allowed them to provide additional customer services such as on-line appointments. On a Friday afternoon at 3:45, we pulled into Chapel Hill Tire with a bolt lodged in our tire, causing the pressure to rapidly decrease. They close at 4:00, but rather than being upset that we were last minute, they welcomed us and quickly fixed our problem. They were the friendliest people and went above and beyond to help us. To top it off, they didn t charge us a penny. I would highly recommend Chapel Hill Tire!Service: Tires

They are quick and great to work with. I called on a Friday and the parts were in by Tuesday the following week. It took them no more than a hour to install a hitch on my vehicle. I highly recommend!

I have been going to Chapel Hill Tire (formally Auto Pro-to-call) on Fordham Blvd for over 10 years and only trust them with my car! I ve primarily worked with Jamie and Curt who are both great! Communication is great- I typically request appointments online and always get a quick response. They happily work with you to fit you in even if it s last minute. I also appreciate that they call before doing any repairs. They go over what items are emergent, what things you can wait on, and the cost upfront. Their prices are very competitive, and they run specials all the time. Nine times out of ten I don t even have to mention the specials or coupons because they ve already applied all applicable discounts. Services are always completed in a timely manner (even when they have to order a part) and they fully stand by the quality of their work.
