I could not give a higher endorsement for Joe and his team at the Cary AAMCO location!! I brought my Silverado into Joe s shop, half expecting that he d tell me I would need a major overhaul if not a full replacement of my transmission.Joe s knowledge, expertise, and experience let me know that I had come to the right place. After test driving my vehicle with their diagnostic system, Joe and his team were able to quickly pinpoint the exact cause of my issue and provide me with an accurate explanation and step by step process in how to fix it. Best of all, the cost to fix the issue was well below anything I could have imagined.If you are having any transmission issues, I would highly recommend going in to see Joe and his guys. I hope to never have transmission issues in the future, but if I do, I know Joe is the only guy that I would go see.Joe, you and your guys are an asset to the community. I greatly appreciate all you've done to help me.

This place, amazing! I had an issue with my car with the check engine light on and codes related to my transmission, I contacted AAMCO in Cary, last min and they said bring it in. Within in no time I got a call back with great news! Their customer service is amazing they are very informative and helpful. They definitely eased my worries! Any issues I WILL BE GOING TO THEM!

If you ever have anything big going on with your car, especially issues with the transmission go see Joe at Aamco! He will not try to up charge and will do a full and thorough diagnostic and only fix what actually needs fixing and not add other unnecessary items to your bill. He saved me from having to spend between $7,000-$9,000 on a new transmission and other unnecessary things another auto shop told me. He is absolutely the BEST!!

My F250 was making a horrible metal grinding sound. I towed it to Aamco in Cary N.C. The manager said that my hub was the worst he d ever seen. The only thing holding it in place were my brakes. They asked to keep my hub as a paper weight and conversation piece . Seriously, it could ve been bad if my tire fell off while driving! They fixed my truck in 24 hours and I couldn t be happier. I live in Florida and travel for work as an ironworker. Fantastic service, friendly staff and I would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you Joe!!

Would recommend to anyone who wants a quality mechanic at a reasonable price. They have a national name but definitely will take care of you personally and understandably. He is my go to guy for everything and if he doesn't 100% know or is overloaded with work from being so reliable it takes a little longer than you can go without the car, he gets you to once of his guys who takes care of you just as well. I take my vehicles to Joe for everything because he knows what he's doing and I know it's gonna be right and he stands behind his work.

Best transmission shop in the area! Dillon is straight up as they come, he ll give you the honest diagnosis get your vehicle fixed correctly and at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Had my Honda Civic serviced there. They were able to find the vacuum leak I couldn't locate. Had it fixed quickly and for an affordable price.

my sisters suv had issues at the gas station right next to aamco. she was from out of town and they were able to help her out. granted it was just bad battery connection but they did help get her back on the road and home safely.

I have nothing but great things to say about Joe and his team. I recently purchased a GMC Yukon and unfortunately the transmission went bad. I went through a couple of obstacles...The 1st being is that I am very unfamiliar with American trucks because this is my first. Secondly I have a warranty company that is not the best to say the least. With that said Joe never got frustrated or irritated with my questions or concerns. Working with the warranty company was horrible but Joe re-assured me that all will be well and talked me off the ledge a few times. I thank him and his team for repairing my truck and for all his patience. I would surely recommend this shop to anyone. Joe is a man of integrity...thank you Joe!Service: Transmission

Had my son s car towed to a different repair shop, it took a week to get a diagnosis and an estimate. I didn t feel comfortable so I called AAMCO and spoke to Joe he towed the car from the other facility that day, had a diagnosis and estimate the next day. As it turned out the transmission needed to be replaced. Joe ordered the new transmission and had the car ready in three business days. My son said the car ran amazingly . We couldn t be happier and would not hesitated to recommend AAMCO to anyone for their auto repair work.Service: Transmission

Absolutely recommend. These guys are hard workers. I live in IL but I m working in NC, which means I m out here without my family. When my RPMs began acting up my husband said to have it looked at. Joe worked me in that next day and was nice enough to relay everything to my husband over the phone since I am a girl and clueless about this stuff. They had it fixed that week! Joe knew I was driving back to IL for the holiday so he asked me to swing by before I left so he could check my fluid levels, etc to make sure it was perfect for the 13 hour drive! Nice touch. You just don't find businesses like this anymore! Joe runs a very honest, professional and friendly auto repair center. He has helped me on several occasions. Took my Hyundai to him for service a steering issue. He could have easily fixed the problem and charged me fairly. Instead he took the time to check, and found that is was a Hyundai recall issue. He printed out what I needed to tell the dealership! Very glad to have this Car Care center nearby. They are the best

These guys are great. Very helpful and informative. Seemed more willing to find the cause of the transmission problem rather then just try to get you to have a whole new transmission put in. Ended up only needing to service my transmission to fix the issue for now. Another place told me I needed a full replacement. I will use this business again in the future when needed and would recommend it to anyone else having vehicle problems. Thanks.Service: Transmission

Transmission leaking and show engaging into gear. Joe explained all costs before work was performed. Joe and his team fixed the problem and I had the truck back the next day. After paying over 2 thousand on repairs at hot rock service center a friend referred me to Joe's team, wish I had known beforehand. Transmission was shot. Had to get another car Joe's team did a pre purchase check. Best money spent. The service here is spectacular.

*Long post* I took my car to a repair shop that told me my timing belt needed to be replaced and it needed a tuneup and that if I continued to drive it other things would break or need to be fixed as a result of driving with a bad timing belt and because the timing belt is located under the engine they would have to take the engine out to get to the timing belt to fix it. With parts and labor it would be around 3,000 to fix. I didn't have the money to have my car repaired so I decided to sell my car. I had a friend whose son took his car to Aamco to get it repaired and he recommended them as doing quality work at a good price. So I took my car to Aamco and told them what it was doing. I didn't tell them what the other place said. A couple of hours later I received a call to tell me what was wrong with the car. I was surprised that they didn't mention anything about what the other mechanic said. I kept repeating the timing belt. He kept saying No. They must have thought I was crazy because I couldn't believe what they said was wrong with my car. Then I asked how much would it cost. He said with parts and labor about $400. I jumped up and said yes fix it. $400 is better than $3,000 any day. He said it would be ready a little later in the day. When I went to pick it up I just had to ask one more time was it the timing belt. He laughed and said no. I think I danced out the door I was so happy . I recommend Aamco for the quality of work that they do at a reasonable price.

This garage is great Joe Huck who now owns and runs this place is more awesome than Matt was. He really knows his business.Repair or Replace that is the question. I had to answer that question a few months ago. Matt made it real easy, mainly with his knowledge, enthusiasm, and honesty. Matt showed me what was wrong, gave me a price, and helped me calculate the total cost of repair verses new vehicle purchase. I can say Matt's price might have been a four figure repair, replacing a transmission isn't cheap, but the alternative was spending five figures. Something I am really happy I didn't have to do. Right now my next 60,000 are costing me pennies instead of hundreds of dollars.Thanks Matt for taking great care of me.Service: Transmission

I took our car in today to have a noise in the transmission diagnosed. The office manager was very friendly and professional. They kindly worked the car into their fully scheduled day, and provided a quick, honest diagnosis of no work needed at this time. Last week my Ford Focus began experiencing transmission problems, and I'm very glad that I took my car to AAMCO. They were friendly, easy to talk to, and very efficient at diagnosing the problem and explaining what needed to be done for repairs. All in all a wonderful experience. The team here at this location in Cary was helpful, super informative and has always done the very best service to my car. They have insight on how customer service should be ran and I appreciate that. My car has been in the shop for multiple repairs as it is a older car but it runs like brand new every time I pick it up. They also go that extra mile, my caliper came in damaged so they made sure to get a replacement before putting it on my car and letting me know immediately. I ve have never had a bad experience here and would recommend if you need work done and your in the garner, Raleigh or Cary area to check them out. Jo is the best!!! The Hyundai dealership was no help, but Jo was the best help. I explained to Jo everything I ve been going through with Hyundai and he was able to figure out what the problem was with my car. I was almost to the point where I didn t know what to do, but Jo put my mind at ease and got me connected to a Hyundai dealership that wouldn t give me the run around about having my engine replaced. I went to this AAMCO location because I had a check engine light come on during my morning commute. Joe and team were honest and professional. In my opinion he went above and beyond by diagnosing the issue and finding out the part was still under warranty from the manufacturer.
