These mechanics are amazing. Fair, honest, and trustworthy. Some repairs are expensive as they would be anywhere. if your vehicle is in need of repair, this is the place to take it!

Tim and his crew do an excellent job and provide honest trustworthy service. I've taken a few vehicles to him and not once have I ever had an issue or complaint. They've never rushed me and were willing to listen, which I really appreciate. I had a concerning accleration issue with my 2000 SUV! But it's the bizzy Holiday Season! My Mechanic had no appointments for 2wks! So I googled "Best Auto Mechanic" was "Tim's Auto Repair" in Carthage! I called at 10am told issues to Billy, said I could stop by 10:30am to check out issues! They are only 2miles from my residence! When I arrived, Mr Tim greet me, he was so nice, caring! Tim took my SUV to trouble shoot issues with a Test Drive! When he return, Tim told me a piece of carpet was stuck under the Accelerator, he removed it! Was driving fine! Also, Tim helped me by add "Lucas Trans Conditioner", I couldn't reach to put in! They're a very bizzy Auto Repair, but Tim took time out to help a Lady in distress! When I ask Tim how much I owed? Tim said "Nothing" I offered $20 for his Time but Tim refused, such a Gentleman! Then, Tim said my SUV was ok to drive Local, untill appt in 2wks with my Mechanic! Tim said they were booked till February! Thank you so very much Tim! God Bless

10/10 would not recommend this shop. Tim wanted to charge me over $1400 to replace an AC compressor. Customer service was also very unprofessional.

Tim and his crew are the best around. I have been going there for years and I have always been greatly satisfied. He has figured out a problem the the Ford dealership could not find. What the dealership wanted to was way off. I got the car to Tim and my Mustang runs better now than when I bought it. Don't waist your time and money. Take your vehicles to Tim Rakes Auto

Honesty and integrity pretty much sum this place up. I have used him and his repair shop for many years with my business. Without a doubt the cleanest most honest operation in that part of the country

Tim and his Professional crew have rebuilt one of my trucks replacing everything except the paint and transmission. These Pro's are my go to guys!!! I will have my vehicles towed past every shop in a 100 mile radius to get to these gentlemen!!
