I was so impressed by Meineke in many ways! Polite, respectful & attentive staff. Clean & organized waiting area and most importantly, very efficient & thorough service, reasonably priced too. While waiting for my vehicle, I overheard many calls from customers, both new & returning, and the replies were honest, clear & when possible the work was expedited even same day!High marks and for sure both I and my car will happily return!

No issues. They were reasonably priced. Chapel hill tire wanted to charge $700 for an engine diagnostic!!! Meineke was $300..Only complaint is that when they answer the phone a couple times they just said "hello". Not "hello, this is Meineke".

Just got my inspection done at Meineke Car Care in Carrboro and I will be taking my car there for oil changes and repairs form now on because Cameron actually communicated with me on what was going on with my vehicle. Passed inspection. but gave me a heads up on a few things to keep an eye on so I will be taking it there. Best service I have had in a long time. Thanks Cameron.

Terrible professionalism and communication.I made an appointment for a state inspection for an electric vehicle. When I checked in the person said they had to lift all cars, by law, for a state inspection, even though it didn t need an emissions test since electric. This may be true, so I agreed to the inspection. Then the front desk person talked to the mechanic / inspector and they refused to even touch my car as they said they could lose their license. They never even gave the option of we have to lift and as long as you re okay with that we can inspect it. This was a very rude, poorly communicated, and not costumer-centric approach to business. I advise all people to go elsewhere and not go to this business.I took my business to a competitor down the street who was very kind, accommodating, and professional, unlike this Meineke location.

Jaguar XF supercharged 2013. Cameron and his team did a great job diagnosing a self cauterizing hole in my coolant hose. The whole service was great. Very knowledgeable and even with the added complications of European, and supercharged they took the time to do it right, and still had it back to me fast. Will return for more work if it s ever needed. Highly recommend.

AVOID THIS AUTO SHOP!!!I went to this auto shop to check a strange noise from my car when accelerating. Initially, they advised replacing the drive belt tensioner and charged me over $500. Unfortunately, the noise persisted after the replacement. Upon revisiting, they requested an additional fee of more than $500 to replace the alternator and casually suggested me to use the emergency brake. I was so confused at that time why they told me to use the emergency brake. Then, I found my key was stuck in the car, and I couldn't shift back to park. When I contacted them, they denied any knowledge of the issue to do with them, suggesting it was pre-existing, and offered a diagnosis for $145. But this problem had never existed before!! After paying, they concluded that my car needed a new shifter assembly, quoting over $770 for the repair.Losing trust, I sought a second opinion at another shop, where they quickly identified and fixed a broken connection in the shifter for $100, pointing out that the issue was likely caused by excessive force they used while using my car. Moreover, the initial noises had nothing to do with the drive belt tensioner or the alternator!!TLDR:I visited this shop to check problem, but they not only failed to solve the problem but caused more damage and continuously proposed expensive, unnecessary repairs!! This was so frustrating!!!AVOID THIS AUTO SHOP! DON'T WASTE MONEY HERE OR GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE.

This was my first official visit to be serviced at Meineke & I will say I am pleased. The Receptionist & auto mechanics were very helpful & knowledgeable. They updated me after diagnosis, gave me an estimate & estimated completion time. The price was also reasonable. I will be a return customer.Thank you, Meineke!

Great service. They quickly fixed an issue another local shop had botched. They were very friendly. No surprise costs, and a nice waiting room while the work was being done. I highly recommend them.

I just had a headlight replaced by the mgr, Cam. He was very quick to see if he could fix it, he ordered the bulb w/in 5 minutes, and when the bulb came from the parts vendor, he installed it which included doing "extra" to make sure it was secure.I recommend this Meineke at 407 W . Main St, Carrboro NC who wants this kind of excellent service for themselves and if not Cam doing the actual work, I would certainly assume that the other mechanics would be equally proficient!!Bill Cline

My car broke down on the highway during the holidays and I had to have it towed to Meineke (Carrboro, NC). Unfortunately, based on the estimate to fix the vehicle, I was forced to buy a new car. Meineke (in the past) has always performed a good job with repairing my car, but their prices are way too high.

Can't thank you folks enough.I'd taken my car to Pep Boys in Chapel Hill 3 weeks ago and they screwed up our A/C while "fixing" other things in the car. Left the car with them for another 3 days so they'd figure out what they did - and for lack of caring or lack of knowledge they didn't. They got back to us mid-week saying they could repair whatever it was for about $1300, and that they'd be willing to give me a 10% discount. For three weeks me and my family suffered through this record-breaking heat in a car without A/C because we simply don't have $1300 to spare (on top of the $2000+ we just paid them for all the other stuff). My wife went online, searched for options, and found Meineke.It took them less than 4 hours from drop-off (9:30 AM) to pickup (1:00 PM) and roughly 75% less than what Pep Boys wanted to charge us. The Meineke guys shared with us that our A/C had been disconnected. No need to buy expensive parts, nor all that labor those other guys had tried to sell us on. Just connect the A/C, fill it back up, and a valve change that was due anyway.I don't normally leave extensive reviews, but the contrast between honest and dishonest service is huge - and I want to THANK YOU on behalf of me and my family for helping us take care of the one vehicle that keeps us rolling. Great service from Cameron and the service team. Super professional and communicative. I was planning to have a tire rotation done but they measured my tread and determined I didn't need one, even though I was willing to pay for it.I noticed some drops of oil a few weeks after my change - they took a look and figured out it was some spilled oil on the skid plate and cleaned it up free of charge. Will definitely be coming back for oil changes here.

My BMW had a leak from a hose and several other mechanics in the area couldn t fix it but Meineke did and they got it done fast and were much less expensive than the dealership.

Excellent service: efficient attentive communication, significant amount of work done promptly (ie, new tires, tie rods, ball joints, balance, alignment, check other components for condition -- identifying things to watch but that don't need repair yet). My exhaust system was installed about 2 years ago by a Meineke shop in CT. Unfortunately, it was sagging and dragging. The brackets holding it in place had rusted out.A second Meineke shop in NC was able to repair everything. The system is back where it should be.They even patched a small leak in the catalytic converter. Said the labor time ran over that quoted but didn t charge extra for either.Had the car ready as promised. Friendly people and a clean waiting area. I was very pleased.Service: Exhaust

As a Master Tech at a nearby shop, we often use Meineke for alignments and such and we do not have a machine. When I went to pick up the car upon completion, the service manager got into an argument with me because "he shouldnt have to call the office for payment" and proceeded to scold.me, the mechanic, the guy who does not deal with company purchases, about why he shouldn't have to call anyone for payment. I felt this was a very off situation and handled poorly. Not only are we a customer but we are a regular customer who send them business about once a week. I think the service manager has a bad attitude and has now cost his company business as we will be getting our alignments done at a different shop.

You really took care of my braking needs. The pricing was what I expected. I thought I was safe but didn't realize how safe I wasn't, until I first put my foot on my new brakes. Thank you so much Meineke! See you later for my wheel alignment.

I ve been coming to this Meineke for years and always receive great service. The staff is friendly, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. I ve never felt like I was being taken advantage of or mansplained to. Monday 3/6/23, I had the pleasure of meeting Jay at the front desk. I had an appointment so was in and out at drop off and pickup, but Jay is lovely. Just wanted to brag on him a bit. Will continue going to Meineke for all car maintenance. Thanks to Adam and the team for being reliable and just great people!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I thought my squeaky wheel was a brake issue when I visited Meineke in Carrboro, NC. But they found I had loose lugs nuts instead!Someone is messing with me, but it's not Meineke, they fixed it for free!

I had AC problems with no cold air. Called Meinecke and they were able to get me in the next day for diagnosis and a repair. The only reason I give 4 stars as it was more expensive than it should have been, for what just ended up being a Freon charge. Especially when they offer a free AC check . But the service was timely and efficient. Just more expensive than it should have been.Service: Auto A/C recharge
