I went in today for a battery and was treated so well. Josh took great care of me and my son. He was patient and kind. Answered all of my questions and concerns. It was so heartwarming to meet someone as caring as he is. It made a huge positive impact on my day and my life. Thank you so much Josh.

I went in for a rear windshield wiper and my service person Josh was incredible. He offered to install it and show me how to do it, and had other information I was not aware of. His professionalism is an asset to the Advance Auto brand.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I ve been coming to this Advance Auto Parts for years, and normally I m greeted and helped by an older gentleman with the mustache. Unfortunately for me today I was not able to get him, he was tied up on the phone. However, I did ask the man who unpleasantly assisted me if I could wait for the older gent the mustache to help me once he was off of the phone, and he said no!I didn t know where my power steering fluid container was located and the unpleasant older man didn t offer any assistance, as a matter of fact, he didn t tell me I didn t need it because it was still full, but he opened the bottle and charged me.What I m most upset with is he wasn t polite at the register, and when I asked if he could help me, he wasn t happy with that! I just lost 15.00 because Mr.Grumpy didn t want to help me.Again, I ve been coming here for years, and hands down the older gentleman with the mustache is the most pleasant and helpful associate this store has.

I went in for engine oil and got that in about five minutes flat. So why did the trip take twenty? Because Byron was so friendly, kind, and engaging that I couldn t help but stick around to chat. A gem of a human and a fantastic, helpful employee. Made my day.

My go to store for anything car related. Good selection, always find what I need, but the best part is definitely their people.Today, I came and had issue with my truck not starting as I picked it up from the shop next door. John, one of Advance Auto Parts team member at the store went far above what is expected. He came and help us with the service equipment Advance has in their stores, not only once but twice, before coming with his personal car and jumper cables.

They sold me a jumper box stating that i can return it with the receipt and in it's box within 30 days.I drove all the way here to return it, and they refused to take it back.Deceiving customers to make a sale is unfair.

Went in for a battery check and ultimately needed a replacement. I was helped by Josh and he was awesome! Got me situated with the right battery package and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. Super friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend to anyone with car troubles.

I was in to Advance Auto Parts yesterday with an oil issue and they were so helpful. I have a leak and needed to top off my oil but I've never done it before. The gentleman helped me find what I needed and offered to come out to the parking lot and do it for me. It was so kind of him to help me out. He helped solve my problem very quickly. I would definitely shop there again.

Went in today to replace my car battery. The staff were super helpful and efficient. My attendant explained the options and helped me figure out the best option for my vehicle. He then replaced the battery. The whole experience took less than 1/2 hour. I would definitely recommend and will return when needed.

I want to say a big thank you to the guy who helped me read the codes this last Sunday. My check engine light was on, it didn't look good with how jumpy my car was acting, he read the codes to me explaining what each one meant, and just generally helped me to feel calmer about the situation. I had a bunch of contradicting codes so he suggested that once we cleared them and it came on again to come back. I did that, at a different store bc I was out in Durham, we pinpointed what it was, I went to a shop, which didn't trust the codes totally and quoted me about $1000 in repairs. For the code that came up at autozone (crankshaft sensor) they said almost $600. I looked up how difficult it was to replace it on YouTube, got the parts from autozone (literally just a crankshaft sensor, and a socket wrench) and with $65 and less than an hours work my car is back to normal and doing well for now!! :) Thank you for helping your customers to feel empowered about taking care of their vehicles.

Such a great auto store in downtown Carrboro. Joshua made a great recommendation for wipers and then quick work of replacing all of them on our Honda Odyssey.Highly recommend!

Purchased a battery online after adding my exact vehicle to the site. The website clearly stated that installation was included and available for my car. When I picked up the battery I was told that my car was not eligible for installation. I had to get a jump to get to the store and then I had to get an employee to give me a jump to leave. I ended up installing the battery myself. The whole reason I purchased the battery was to have it installed when I picked it up. I guess next time I will just order it online since I will have to install it myself anyways.

Excellent service over the years. Advance Auto parts in Carborro is my go to auto parts store. Always great service. Good parking and friendly staff. I ve bought batteries and a variety of parts over the years.Just finished replacing headlamps in my sons car, and got help both choosing and installing from the staff. Had to leave a review- too many good experiences not to share.

Update a year later: Second time going to Advance, second great experience. I thought I knew what the problem was, but instead of just making an easy sale and sending me on my way, Byron and John took time to do some testing and help me find out that my problem was trickier than I initially thought, even though it meant I didn't buy anything today. That's above and beyond; when I do need to buy a part, this is where I'll come. Highly recommended.I went in on Saturday for a new battery after waiting all day on roadside assistance; it had already been a long day. Excellent experience: Amani helped me out, did the install, and was personable and knowledgeable. I really appreciated his assistance.

I've been doing business here for years. They've always been efficient & helpful. Today they raised it to a new level: I went in with a 10 month old battery that had mysteriously stopped working and after the manager checked & found it was some weird defect, he just handed me a new battery. He refused to let me pay at all. In short-- far better service than you get almost anywhere. Thank you.

Thanks Joshua for your expert help and timely service in replacing my almost dead battery and checking the code that the check engine light was throwing. We arrived safely home from our return 5 hour trip with no overheating, praise the Lord.Joshua is an awesome employee that Advance Auto should be very proud of but also an awesome person. I purchased a set of wipers for my Honda - And was blown away by the service I received. Byron helped me identify the right set of wiperblades and helped install them as well. I would consider this place as the first stop for all UNC Students!

Five stars. I have a huge diesel dually truck and I bought two optima batteries at this location about 2 years ago. Almost $500.00 One of the batteries went bad so my mechanic suggested I take the battery back for a refund. Honestly, I thought it would be a waste of time. Return a bad battery 2 years later. Yea right. I called ahead and the rep was super nice. Said he would order new batteries from another store to be ready the next day. Went in the next day. Gave them my receipt and the battery. They tested it and said it was bad and brought out a brand new battery. No questions asked. These batteries are about $250 a piece. Super nice staff and very knowledgeable. Five stars!!!

I have been to this store on multiple occasions. My most two recent visits have been by far the best. I needed headlights and a replacement oil pan bolt. Armani went up beyond to help me find good replacement lights and also the right replacement bolt for my oil pan. Armani provided fast and professional customer service. He is also very knowledgeable about automotive products.

I needed help with a rear wiper blade, after I purchased the wrong one. It was embarrassing but the staff credited me for my return, helped me find the correct blade, and then walked with me to my car to install it. Wonderful service! This grandpa was very happy.

I needed help with my windshield wipers, and when I came in, they knew exactly what size I needed, put them on for me, and gave me information on how to make them last longer. I highly recommend coming to this Advance Auto Parts store; Kevin and Josh were so helpful, super friendly, and helped someone like me, who s not very car-savvy, solve my problem. Thank you!

I first went to a Chapel Hill location where the manager was too busy to help me with a return for a defective product. So I went to the Carrboro location where Josh and Kevin were working, and both of them were very helpful. I had received a defective part after ordering it online, and Josh was able to make sure that my purchase was credited back to my card, and that I wasn't going to be paying for a defective part. If you are going to go to a local auto parts store in the chapel Hill Carrboro area, the East Main street location is the one to go to. I was ready to give up on Advanced because I am unhappy with the Chapel Hill location, and an Autozone opened up nearby. But now I will just drive the extra 5 minutes to Carborro, stick with Advanced Auto whom I have been using for 10+ years, and get the best service. Thanks guys for your help!

I came by to get my battery checked today for my truck. I was sure if it was needed to be replaced. I was super impressed with the service and their knowledge. I stopped by at lunch and they had plenty of help and several customers. I was seen right away. They even installed the battery.

Joshua from Advanced Auto Parts is fantastic!! Very helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. Helped me get the right battery for me 2004 Jeep Wrangler that I cherish. 3rd battery from this store and will absolutely be back.

Went to get my battery tested for free at the store, employee informed me it was the alternator. So I took my vehicle to a shop to get the alternator issue addressed, after running diagnostics on it the shop told me that it was in fact the battery and I owe them $50 because this advance auto location does not know how to read the battery testing system. What a waste of my time, money and energy. Not to mention the additional stress of my vehicle having a problem that could have been solved day 1 if the employee had any idea how to do his job. I do not recommend this location and will never return.

Josh helped me find the right battery for my car and replaced it on site for free! Super fast and easy, also friendly service. I will definitely be coming back!
