Very friendly, knowledgeable and inexpensive auto repair and maintenance services. Best on the island as far as mechanic shops located on Carolina beach. Very busy so I d recommend an appointment but they are wonderful with customers who elect to not or are unable to schedule ahead. They have patched my tires, replaced tires, changed oil and serviced vehicle. I ve taken my suv there on several occasions and I always leave with the issue resolved on my car at a very reasonable price as a satisfied customer who would highly recommend anyone who is needing a trustworthy, honest, very reasonably priced and experienced mechanic shop locally on the island to handle all your automotive repair services on your personal and work vehicles.

This place is unethical and are thieves! My son's vehicle was there waiting on an estimate for an axel. They said it absolutely could not be driven, very unsafe. Called for the 3rd time for an estimate today and "angel" said she would get back to us within 30 minutes. Never got a call back. They had the only set of keys in their office. Today it was found at their residence at Sea Scape on the North End of Carolina Beach with their son's phone in it & connected to blue tooth like he had been driving it for awhile. DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE THERE! They are un-trustworthy and lie. If it really could not be driven, why was their son driving it? DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP EVER! (-10 stars!)

I would give 0 stars if possible. THIS SHOP SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. They had my car for weeks for a job they said would take a few hours. After they damaged and incorrectly installed my parts, they stopped responding completely. I had to pick my car up from the shop weeks later using my spare key, and when I went to pick it up, the car was completely dead. Keep in mind that I had only had this car for about a month. It s a 2021 chevy malibu with 60,000 miles. I just needed some speakers installed. When I picked my car up, the battery was dead and completely drained, the trunk wouldn t open, and my windows no longer roll down. I had to take my car to another shop just to get it worked on. This happened a few months back, I ve called hundreds of times, left letters on the door, and I have still yet to hear back from them. After damaging the speakers that I brought, Moe said that he would replace them and he gave me 2 of his (that were a lesser quality) to use in the mean time. The 2 that he gave me have blown also. I spent hundreds of dollars with these people just to be left with damaged speakers and a damaged car. AVOID GOING HERE AT ALL COSTS.

We were on vacation from Tennessee and our car was suffered engine damage from being in a flash flood. Mo , the owner spent an entire day taking our engine apart and bringing our car back to life. The service was exceptional, we were treated so kindly and he refused to let us leave until he had gone over every inch and repaired 100%. Mo went above and beyond what was necessary to fix the engine. He also made sure that nothing else was wrong and fixed every single thing he noticed in the process. So this owner of this business is the same owner at Carolina Auto at Carolina Beach. They were supposed to fix my breaks after Carolina Auto put defective brakes on and charged me. I took my car to them at least 4 times and they had it all day to do Nothing to fix the defective cheap brakes they put on my car. Do NOT go Here!!!!! I had to pay the guy 20.00 dollars just to be interested in taking a test drive to hear the God awful noise of grinding!!!! They WOULD NOT make it right. I am going to hire an attorney to get my money back. Shouldn t have to buy all new brakes when they charged me and supposedly put on all new brakes!!! These people are scammers! Also they refused to give me the parts they said they took out and replaced. Avoid these people!!!! Don t make the same mistake I did!!! Again, no refund, no working brakes, and a law suite to follow. By law they have to put the correct brakes on the vehicle. We will fight this not for the money but for the principle of it!

So happy to have found this auto repair shop at Carolina Beach!My son's car battery died at McDonald's just around the time I was on my lunch break.I went to pick my son up, and he said that we should go to R&J Mecanik because he has had an oil change there.The guys were working on two other cars but they were courteous and said they would be right with us.One of the guys brought a jump box to McDonald's to get the car started and we drove to the shop.Upon further testing, we found that the battery was not good.The guys had a battery, switched it out, and had us ready to go in a total repair time of less than 45 minutes!We are very grateful and recommend them to anyone on the island that needs expert and efficient car service!

I had killed my battery last night by leaving my lights on, so I stopped in to this local shop to see if they could make sure my electrical system was in good order before heading back on my 3hr trip inland. Even though the only mechanic on duty was busy with a few other cars, he offered to check my car for me anyway. I appreciate the kindness so much!! Would recommend this place any day.

Hey Spike and Mohammed,Thanks so much for taking care of my red GMC Sierra over Thanksgiving. I really appreciate it. You replaced an O ring and the tensioner pulley for me. You guys were great, you worked on it the day before Thanksgiving and the day after! I have 200k miles on that truck, it stalled on me after driving down from Richmond, VA on Tues before Thanksgiving. I found R&J because it was close to our rental. They fixed what needed to be fixed and were friendly and very fair about the price. It is running great. These guys were great! My car broke down heading out of town to get my family home. They stayed open late to diagnose the problem and then moved me to the front of the line to get my car fixed. Very professional and helpful.Go see Spike over there...he will take care of you!

Great mechanic! Was riding a bike and the chain kept falling off so I stopped in and asked if he could help me out. He took time out of his busy day to help me tighten the chain on my bike out of the goodness of his character! Thank you!
