I 1000% recommend these guys. I drive a 1986 Oldsmobile and they were the only Transmission shop I could find that would accept the job because of the age of my car. The owner is super friendly, very straight forward, and the price really wasn't too bad considering what had to be done. They were even nice enough to drive me to the bank to get cash out instead of charging me an extra fee to use my card and on top of that they gave me a year warranty for the work done for free. My transmission was completely trashed. I called and talked to Benny Jr. About what my options where and they did a relatively quick and excellent job installing a new one for a more than fair price. I would recommend this shop to anyone.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

These are salt of the earth people. They stay covered up because they treat people right! My regular mechanic recommended I take my vehicle to American Transmission.Took a while for them to get it in but they were extremely fast at fixing the problem.Fair price for quality work. American Transmission is a great very affordable repair shop. They done great work, they were very accommodating, and very helpful. They explained everything that they did. I would recommend American Transmission ti anyone. They were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was informed and satisfied.

Benny and his father, Ben, have been doing great quality transmission work for a long time. They have a very clean and meticulously organized shop. It's conveniently located just off of Hwy 19-23 in Candler, NC.Over the years, American Transmission has done work for me, my father and my partner. This is one place that you don't have to worry about being treated unfairly. You can count on these folks to be honest. They don't pad their bills, unlike some places I've encountered.I very highly recommend American Transmission! If you need any work done on your transmission, you absolutely cannot go wrong with their work!

I had the pleasure of dealing with the Owner Ben when I took my Buick Century there for a transmission problem. He took the time to show me what exactly was wrong with it (2nd gear was shot) and he and his son Benny fixed it at an affordable price. I would recommend them to anyone I know with a problem with their transmission. They are very honest.

Dad and son operation, both men are great. I have sent them a few customers and they came back telling me the great job these men done for them. They have personally helped me out with transmission parts when they didn't have to, I appreciate old school fellows like Ben and Bennie. If I could ever do anything to help them all they need do is ask.

This is the place. Needed transmission rebuilt not replaced the one or two other places think they are god and there prices reflect there big egos. This family shop has 80 plus years experience under there belt and they are honest decent folks and there prices are inline with what a working person can pay. And don't get me started about there attention to detail after the fact..there tuffer on themselves to send out and keep it right. Go in and relax and let them treat you like family at a great price.

This is the best transmission shop to go to. Honest hard working old school mechanics. Been in business for nearly 40 years. Have a very good reputation from everyone and the type of people that will help you out instead of nickel and dime you like dealerships
