I ve being going to Tiptons for over 5 years with various cars, trucks and vans. I would definitely recommend them for ALL vehicle services. They are very friendly, helpful and affordable and get the job done to a very high standard. I shouldn t have waited 5+ years to write this.

Love the service and personal touch. They r extremely busy. But when they r talking to me about my car, they make me feel like their top priority and take their time to answer any of my questions.

Great shop and Ray is great to deal with and while my bill was a little higher than I expected, it has been a while since I've had anything like this done and obviously there was more wrong with my truck than I realized, Ray explained everything that was done and why and now it drives better than when I bought it so no complaints here. I'll definitely recommend this shop

I made an appointment for an oil change 4 days ahead of time because I heard they get super busy and when I came in the shop was definitely busy but I felt prioritized and they were able to diagnose an unexpected problem and fix it right away, huge relief! Five stars and two thumbs up from me. Thanks!

Ray at Tipton auto is the best! Great guy who runs a top notch shop. Quick to add me to the schedule, the estimates for work are always cheaper than the dealership, and the work is done when promised. He's done oil changes, brake work, fixed a diy issue with my oil pan, plugs and coil packs, and even replaced a motor mount. He's was kind enough to fix another shops mistake for me on short notice. You need to bring your car here!

I'm telling you I would have given this place a hundred stars if I could have. I brought my girlfriend's vehicle in to get some work done. She had stumbled upon the place on accident as a result of her car breaking down and kind of strolling into this joint. To be honest I was a little nervous at first. The guys that work here are so kind, friendly, welcoming and super, super smart! this is one of the best experiences I've ever had with the mechanic. Right now we're waiting on them to receive a used part for us and that's taking longer than I like however I do not feel motivated to go anywhere else. If you're looking for good service from friendly guys and know what they're doing and you're in Burnsville, you don't need to go anywhere else.

Professional and friendly team! Ray knows a lot about cars and keeps a nice attitude and fair prices. Great mechanics and spacious garage. I did sit confortably while my car was fixed. Would recommend and go back if I ever need to. Thanks guys, you rock!

Great experience, best prices, and quick turnaround time. They replaced a head gasket for $100s cheaper than the next best estimate I could find. They also do inspections and free estimates.And, now they've moved to the old Chevrolet dealership building with much more space and collocated with Napa Auto Parts which makes it super convenient.I recommend Tipton's to everyone who needs a good, honest mechanic.

We recently moved to the area, but I work 45 min away; they allowed me time to get there after work & changed my oil for a very fair price & set appt for my belt to be fixed at a very fair price. I was in & out & they went the extra mile. Very, very satisfied with their caring service, friendliness & above all, honesty & professionalism. So refreshing to find in this world today!

Thank goodness for Ronnie! Our serpentine belt broke on a lonely country road late at night. Ronnie answered the phone a little after 7 am the following day. We set an appointment for 9 am. By 9:20 he was finished. Completely reasonable prices, great customer service and super fast. We were back on the road in no time. Thank you!!!

Very trust-worthy, good people, great service! I'm from out of state so it's always nerve wracking to get your car worked on by mechanics you aren't familiar with but the people here are so sincere! I've had work done here three times now and each time I get into conversation with another customer, they always mention how they've been coming to Tipton for a long time because the work is good and honest. Hard to find! The only spot I'll go to in Burnsville for my lil' neon!

Couldn't have found a better auto repair place! Very informative and didn't try to charge for things not necessarily! Fast and reliable. Best price on everything I have had done! Great bunch of guys and a really clean shop!

We were spending a couple nights in Burnsville, hiking Mt. Mitchell and the surrounding area. Coming down from Mt. Mitchell Sunday afternoon, the battery icon lit up red on our 2006 Toyota Highlander. Most times this means the alternator has stopped working. I usually do my own work, but with bad weather and no tools - not this time.Called Tipton Auto at 8:00 Monday morning. Ronnie answered the phone and said he could fix it. Arrived at 8:30, and was on the road at 9:30.Ronnie diagnosed the problem (alternator), ordered the part and installed it. In an hour.I was treated like a local customer: fairly, with courtesy and professionalism. The price was extremely reasonable. The speed of repair amazing.If I lived here, this would be my go-to shop.I cannot recommend Tipton Automotive highly enough. If you're unlucky enough to break down, you'll be lucky you're here.

Pulled in with vibrating wheels, the had a vehicle up on every rack and these guys took extra time to fix my wheels. I had loose brake calipers that could have killed me. There is decades of experience and knowledge at that shop.

This is the best automotive place we've ever been to. We were going to Midas in Asheville and thought they had normal prices, until we went to Tiptons. Midas had quoted us 500+ and Tipton's did the same job for less than 200 and we didn't have to drive 45 mins. We will be going here for all our automotive needs from now on(which is a lot unfortunately cause we have cars that are falling apart)

My sister came here to get her car fixed paid 1100 and they left a screw driver under the hood. Do not recommend.

During the last 10 or 20 years I have experienced many Car & Truck Repair Shops this one may be the best of all. Tipton's gets 5 or 6 Stars if that's possible
