I was stranded on the side of the road in Pisgah National Forest. I called around looking for help. Caleb from Browns Transmission was willing to come out , find the problem, go back to his shop, get parts and fix my car. Nicest guy you could hope to meet. Definitely recommend these folks. Saved my day of fishing too.

I want to thank Caleb, he was the only one who would work on my transmission, it's a hybrid. Very professional and courteous. I had to pull my car out, and he gave me plenty of advice to pass on to a retired mechanic who's a church member of mine. If I could afford to wait for him to fix it, I would have in a heart beat. Very knowledgeable and professional shop. Charged me 1/3 of price for diagnosing. When 5 other shops charged me for diagnosis but refused to work on my car.Service: Transmission

Browns saved me many $1000 s over eGolf replacement of the transmission price that failed just after my extended warranty expired because eGolf refused to work on it before expiration until it failed completely and left me strandedBrowns diagnosed and test drove and tried an aftermarket additive in spring really affordably but it finally broke and threw a code. Even though they were completely covered up when I was ready they stored the van for the duration and when a couple unrelated battery and O2 sensor things failed they chose to fix both no charge by applying my payment for the fist visit as a credit. Now it starts fast, shifts like new and appears to have the perfect oxygen level.I m not saying they will do you the same just saying that they did me that well. What a mega difference from eGolf gouging me for $500 on the coolant reservoir bottle replacement they did last year and the $50 they charged for a gallon of anti-freeze.

I've been an auto tech since the mid '70 s. So never let others do my work for me. Since retiring to Brevard in 2018, I gave up doing my own work. The old adage 'a good mechanic is hard to find' does not apply to Brown's Transmission. Caleb is a stand-up guy who values good customer service and stands behind his work. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

They are super nice & straight up with you, don't want you to pay anymore than you have to but do excellent work. Just hard to get in there because they always stay busy but that speaks volumes.

My experience with Browns was awesome!!!! I was looking for a transmission shop that good and trustworthy and I found that at browns! The employees helped me without hesitation when I stopped in. I talked with Caleb about my car And what s going on with it. He told me what he thought it was and he would check to see if it s more then what a blown cylindroid (sorry for the spelling). Caleb gave me a time limit and went above and beyond on getting my car back to me!! Great prices no BS HELL OF A COMPANY!!! Definitely going back for more work if needed!!

Hello Everyone,I've Had to return my car to these people four times so far. Its currently in the shop at the moment, They "rebuilt" My transmission and so far they've had it since LAST YEAR the last week of december. Each time I bring it back they make me wait another week or two to service it, claiming "Its under warranty" What kind of buisness is this. The last time they "Fixed" it I was driving my vehicle down the road and it just shut off completely. Also I had two designer bottles of cologne stolen out of my vehicle during the last service. VERY dishonest, and untrustworthy people.

Excellent transmission work done on our 1976 Dodge W200. Transmission was rebuilt and a transmission cooler added for hauling.
