Idol Tire's location is easy to miss, I heard about them from Action Glass. I've had my car inspected there 4 years in a row, and had it repaired once. Always reliable, always quick. Tire prices there are same as most places- I trust them cause they're fast and they're honest.

Took my car in with a bad cv joint. From out of town and we needed to leave the next day. They got to it the same day so I could keep on schedule. Also a very fair price. Highly recommend Idols Tire Center.

I cannot recommend this place enough. This past Friday I had an unexpected tire blowout on my way to a family wedding, and I broke down at the church right next door to Idol's. I walked next door seeking their help, and in less than two hours they had me up and back on the road at an incredible price. The guys who put my new tire on walked over to my car with all their equipment just so I didn't have to pay a tow bill. The only thing I could think to do to properly express my gratitude was to leave them a glowing review, which I hope reaches the lovely people who helped me. Thank you guys!

Idol's tire always takes care of my car needs. Never had any issues after they've completed a job. Definitely recommend.

Brought my 2 year old car in because the low pressure light came on. They did a thorough check but did not find anything. I appreciate the time they spent and their diligence!

I ve been having my vehicles serviced there for over two years now, the service is always great, speedy, never an issue and always priced right. Great family business. You can t go wrong unless you bring your car somewhere else, don t do that, don t be a dolt come to idol!

Abt a year ago I was referred by a friend to try idols as well as called n got price checks on 4 new tires... Yes they carry my tire ordered it quickly n applied my tires n performed an alignment for me I was pretty happy. Hope everything goes this smoothly.

i come here to get safety/emissions test all the time. they use to make apts but now it s only from 8-11 and 2-4 on weekdays. i m ok with that because everytime i m there they aren t that busy. usually i m in and out within a hour, would recommend

I ve been taking my Subaru Forester to Idol s since 2020. The employees were always kind and considerate, but the work hasn t been great.Recently, I called to ask if they could replace my catalytic converter. Their website states, IDOL'S TIRE CENTER PROVIDES CATALYTIC CONVERTER REPLACEMENT SERVICES TO BOONE, NC, SUGAR GROVE, NC, BLOWING ROCK, NC, AND OTHER SURROUNDING AREAS. The woman on the phone told me, We don t deal with catalytic converter replacements. I also needed someone to look into some noises coming from my front end, so I took it to another shop in town. In Dec 2020, Idol s replaced both of my front end control arm bushings. In November 2021, I took my car into Subaru for a multi-point inspection in which they notified me that my front end control arm bushings were going bad. Thinking that they should have lasted more than a year, I took the car back to Idol s to have them take a look. They told me the bushings looked great.Now in April 2022, I went to a new shop since Idol s said they wouldn t replace catalytic converters. It turns out my control arms and my control arm bushings need to be replaced. And considering the state they re in, the bushings on the front end have been bad for awhile (more than just a few months).I m not sure what happened, but I don t trust that the shop installed the control arm bushings properly if they deteriorated this quickly. And if there were underlying problems that lead to this, they had ample opportunity to notify me of more work that needed to be done. I do not recommend Idol s Tire.

Went by today for a muffler issue. They were able to fix it right then. These wonderful folks went beyond their call of duty to fix the issue for the amount of money I had available. They are really amazing folks. Customer Service is outstanding. Will definitely go back for all my needs.

They have always done good work for me. Decent prices.New update 3/18/19 and rating droppedHad an alternator put in on a warm Thursday. Cold Saturday and I had no heat, added antifreeze and had heat. Thought maybe they forgot to put antifreeze back in, easy mistake and fix. Monday morning had no heat again. Take it to the shop and see what is going on. Comes back that the radiator is cracked and leaking heavily while driving. Talk to Josh Idol and he denies an responsibility for the radiator issue. Then kicks me out of the shop and runs to the back. So beware that this location will deny they caused any major issues and will then tell you to not ever come back. Even if you are a loyal customer who has spent thousands here. I would still trust them for inspections and oil changes though, and the ladies at the front are great as always.

This business will schedule you, accept too many walk-ins, and then not honor your appointment. Do not get your vehicle serviced here.

I came here to have my axle replaced at a cost of $400. then I developed a transmission leak in my car, followed by the car struggling to go. I called them to report it and they said it wasn't their problem because "they don't work with transmission issues". So, I took it to a ford dealership and they confirmed that the job was done incorrectly, causing the leak and possibly causing permanent damage to my transmission. I then spent $1400 to correct this, and there is still a possibility that the transmission may fail in the future bc my transmission oil was black and had metal filings in it. I reached out to Idol's again to request my money back and they refused bc they claimed it wasn't actually their fault. the ladies that work there are sweet though...

Over a week ago I went into Idol tire for a flat tire, and found out that I had a crack in my wheel. I was assured that they could order me the correct wheel in 3-4 days, so at the time I payed the deposit and made an appointment for the following Monday (a whole week out to give enough time for the wheel to come in). When I showed up for my appointment Monday, after driving a half hour back into town on a donut, I was told that they had ordered the wrong wheel and the new one wouldn't be in for another day. I understand that things happen, but the total lack of communication was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing after spending my whole morning arranging time for this appointment. After leaving I called later to check in on the wheel, still not there. The following day I called to check in and was informed that the wheel was "messed up" and they could offer me a refund. Great for the refund, but waiting over a week and cancelling many plans due to needing a vehicle was not something I appreciated. Overall, I do not recommend due to their lack of communication, honesty and disregard for other people's schedule. This all could have gone differently if communication was present.

They r awesome! Saved my bacon too. Very professional, certified by DMV to inspect my foreign SUV from the coast (county inspections differ, who knew?), got me in and out quickly so I could get my tag sticker renewal within the hour as the holiday loomed. I had been to three other places and called four others no one could do it. I am very grateful!!

Went in for a free advertised oil change, all seemed to be fine until less than two months later (had not even been close to reaching the mileage on the sticker) when I checked the dipstick because my oil light came on and there was NO oil in my car. My engine light came on the next day, and now my engine is ruined because of a careless, incomplete oil change.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here for an inspection. I've been trying to get an inspection for the last 2 weeks from this place, and every time I show up they tell me they don't have a bay available for my vehicle. Then when I try to call ahead or schedule in person for a future date, they tell me that they don't schedule inspections. Their process for inspections seems ridiculous and unprofessional. Considering I can't even get a simple inspection done, I will not be bringing my vehicle here for any other matters.

We live in South Jersey and my daughter goes to grad school at Appalachian State University. She first went to Idol's to have a tire repaired and spoke of the pleasant people who run the establishment. She developed an exhaust leak and I called to see if they could fix it, which they can. I was quoted a price which was fine for the job, but when the job was done the price actually came down. I was told it didn't take as long as first thought, very honest people. I'm going to send my daughter back for an oil change, and any other auto issues that might come up in the future. It's reassuring to know that there are honest people, like the people at Idol's, who will take care of my daughters needs while she is far away from home. The next time my wife and I visit Boone we will make sure to stop in and say hi.

Extremely dishonest.Idol's charged me about $350 for an $85 part. It's my fault for trusting them, but I will never, EVER go back. I'd advise caution when dealing with them unless you know what a fair price should be, because they will not treat you well.

Coming from a long weekend in the Mountains, I had a with a flat tire that unfortunately wasn't repairable. They tried everything to get me back home. Went out of their way to call other tire shops around to locate what I needed. Even though they couldn't help me in the end, their staff was incredibly generous and helpful.

These incompentent people changed the wrong caps on my perfectly working car, causing over $700 in damages to my engine. After contacting the owner, he repeatedly said "well don't fix it thinking I'll pay for it because I won't, not my problem" when it was his work that damaged my car. Don't trust this jerk with your cars!!'

I went in for a simple inspection, they charged me for adding oil and replacing a taillight bulb( which the bulb was not replaced [dust still on the bulbs, untouched]). They also overfilled my oil.1/5 terrible scamming.

Great job. Took my vehicle in for an issue that was minor, in the end. Didn't even charge me. Super fast oil change as well. Will be back soon for tires.

I love to get my vehicles serviced and inspected here. This team knows what to do, how to do it and when to let me know if something is out if whack BEFORE they do additional repairs.
