Thank you, Will, for your honest assessment of my daughter s Mazda. We are a state away and the repair was several thousand dollars. You shared with me what you would do if it was your car and even helped me try to dig into whether the part was under recall. In the end, you talked us out of the repair with you. If I need any service again in the future for my daughter, we ll come to you!! The charge for tow and diagnostic was very reasonable. I was recommended to your garage by my daughter s roommate who had work done and now I know why. Thanks so much for everything!

4 wheel drive SUV stuck in Blowing Rock driveway. Called multiple places that said they were not taking any more orders. These friendly guys came quickly!!!

Was the only 24-hour service in the Boone area then answered. They handle my problem long distance via the telephone and got my daughter's car back on the road at a very reasonable price. The dispatcher then the driver and the next morning the shop service writer we're all Pleasant polite and knowledgeable. My daughter goes to school with App State and she now has instructions to call bills for any of her Automotive needs

We called for assistance on Friday after 5pm and were told it would be a 2 hour wait. Jeff (our tow truck driver) arrived an hour earlier than expected. He was funny and energetic. He got us out of the mud quickly and kept us very entertained. Our service was exceptional. We could not have asked for a nicer guy.

I called for a recovery from a ditch on a steep gravel road so icy it wasn't even safe to walk on. It is an area that some towing companies will not even service in the winter because it gets so bad. I cannot say enough good things about the driver that came to get me out. It was a complicated recovery that only began with getting me out of the ditch as that would still just put me back on a steep sheet of ice. He was so patient and kind in making sure that I got to a safe spot even after pulling me out of the ditch. The bad reviews for Bill's are mostly people who have been towed from parking lots in town. I know that is no fun but it is not a reflection on their business or the service that they provide when you call them for help.

I was parked at my apartment complex for less than 20 min, although I do not have a parking pass for my complex and usually park across the street I had just gotten home from class and needed to run in to eat lunch before I had to leave for work. As I walked out to my car to leave for work (literally 20 min after I got home from class) it was up on the tow truck. I explained my situation to the guy, mind you the parking lot was almost empty so other people could find a place to park. I could barely understand anything he was saying and he was not looking to help out and broke college girl at all. I offered to pay him some in cash or anything I just needed my car. I understand I was in the wrong but I still had to pay the full $130 just for him to literally put my car on the tow truck and take it off. I just think it s a little silly.

Today, Greg hit my neighbor's car and tore off her bumper. I don't know what his intentions were and why he was even that close to her car when everyone clearly has their parking stickers displayed. With the amount they circle our parking lots, it should be clear who lives here. Unprofessional. Also, a couple of days ago, he called my friend and I a derogatory slur and his associate said that we were in the right. No matter what the circumstances are, it is important to maintain professionalism!

My car was towed here, they were able to help me out with the tow bill and caught me before pulling off. Turns out my parking break had frozen and Danny generously took the time to break it loose for me. There are some really nice people working here. 10/10

AAA canceled on me twice. Bill's Garage had a tow truck to me in sub 30 minutes and I was about 20 miles outside of Boone. also at 2:30 in the morning. a billion/5 stars

These people are vultures. Watch where you park (literally anywhere in Boone) or you ll be towed before you lose sight of your car. To add insult to injury the staff are rude and likely enjoy stealing your money.

Bills garage is awesome! I slid my hummer across some ice into a deep ditch full of mud and water, and Bills Garage sent a great guy to come get it out. The tow truck man really knew what he was doing and got my car out totally safe and sound! Couldn t leave a better review and thank you again Bills!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

I own Good Vibz Tattoo at University Overlook in Boone. They towed one of my workers out of MY parking spaces, and when I called, the dispatcher was so rude I couldn t even finish my sentence. We are one of your clients and customers and expect to be treated with respect. I don t care who your dispatcher is. He needs to learn customer service.

AVOID BILLS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! READ THE REVIEWS HERE---AVOID THESE FOLKS---THEY DESTROY CARS WHEN TOWING THEM. This company will destroy your car. LOOK AT THIS DRIVEWAY THEY PULLED MY CAR OVER just because they did not have the patience to ask someone to move out of the flat driveway out of David Watson's garage. It tore the entire underskirt that is under the front of my car, it cracked it into two pieces and now the piece is just hanging loose under the vehicle. I am planning to file a suit against these idiots. My mechanic chose these guys, OTHERWISE I WOULD NEVER USE THIS PLACE.. THEY did not want to wait until the flat driveway was open to pull it out. THE CAR WAS NOT LIKE THAT WHEN IT WAS SITTING AT THE GARAGE...I plan to take out a small claims action... DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they will ruin your vehicle. Look at all the other BAD reviews of this awful company. AVOID---USE HAMPTON"S TOWING---THEY ARE CAREFUL AND WOULD NEVER DRAG A VEHICLE OUT LIKE THIS.

This review is for the towing service! They are absolutely the worst to deal with. They have some sort of monopoly contract with just about every apartment complex in Boone and use this monopoly to prey on college students by towing cars for any given reason they choose. My child's car has been towed twice, once because the tires were touching the paint line in parking spots and once because the car was parked beside the dumpster because non students were parking in the apartment lot. Every time we have called they are hateful and condescending. They claim they are towing people that are illegally parked but yet my child comes home to find no parking spots and non students cars parked there all day, yet our car is the one that is towed. Asked for pictures to prove that our car was parked illegally and they refused to provide them. The apartment manager gave us instructions on what to do when there is no parking and Bill's Towing ignores the instructions from the apartment manager and tows anyway and is hateful when we call to tell them we are parking in a non parking spot because no parking, as instructed by the apartment manager.BEWARE any where in Boone, they have control of just about every parking lot, not just the apartments.Service: Car towing

Read the other reviews regarding late night towing. If your insurance company tells you that Bills Garage is coming to help you tell them to use another provider. They won't show up, and they won't answer the phone. Happened to my son tonight. I called to verify the acceptance of the tow. Got no answer for the 45 minutes I called. Use Wrenchworks instead. Super responsive and polite.Service: Car towing

My college aged kids had a car issue and needed to get back on the road quickly. From start to finish everyone we dealt with at Bill's could not have been more helpful, nice and timely in their feedback. I suspect that most of the negative reviews are because they tow people, but this one s for the mechanics side of their business. The main pro is that they were immediately available to diagnose my check engine light and were able to have it serviced the next day. The main con is that they seem somewhat disorganized - they got two people manning the phones and while they re delightful, they just can t deal with all that efficiently while also handling in-person customers. I was in their office for an two hours for what amounted to 45 min of repair work. Expect the overall process to be somewhat-fast, but not efficient, if that makes sense.

We were stuck in Boone due to some car trouble. These folks took our concerns seriously, got our car fixed quickly, and gave us a very fair price. While we sincerely hope we never need car repair on vacation again, if we do, I know where we re going.

Called after hours. 1 in the morning to be exact my daughter hit a terrible pothole and it busted the wheel. Called the after hours number and the person answered and I told them I wasn't sure if she needed a spare put on or if something was broken and it may need towed. He kept asking if I needed a tow and I told I wasn't sure it could be just a tire change he hung up on me and when I called back it went straight to voicemail and he never returned my call. Just remember they just want to hook and drop apparently

Car towed from a lot they weren t even supposed to be monitoring, towed my car from a visitor lot because I was slightly out of the visitor section and that they didn t really remember where the visitor parking was for the lot I was slightly out of. Got my car towed for emergency maintenance, told the tow truck driver, told the receptionist (in detail), and talked to the mechanic, Micheal, and yet I am still unable to have my car as they didn t work on my car at all until after he asked if the maintenance required was intentional or not, and that they took my car off of the schedule and have to wait until they potentially get the car done after 3 days.Service: Car towing

I cannot thank Bill's Garage and my tow truck driver Ben enough. I drove to Boone today to pick up my son from ASU for the winter break. My car had been running rough on the drive and after we got the car loaded up my car died. Bill's Garage answered my call and got someone to me within an hour. I had tried everything to get my car started for an hour before I called (it wasn't the battery, it would start, run for a minute and die). Ben arrived and tried a few things and somehow got it started. I was shocked and he told me he had "the magic touch" which I believe. He checked under the hood, took it for a test drive, and did everything he could to make me feel comfortable. At this time, a friend arrived to give me a ride back to Hickory. Ben felt I was okay to attempt to drive the car back since I would have someone following me. He told me to call him if I had any issues. I don't know when I've gotten such good service in the recent past. I made it back to Hickory and my car definitely has a serious issue but I am so appreciative!
