They did an awesome job with my 04 dodge grand caravan. Replaced all 4 tires and rear brakes issue in one day with reasonable prices. They were also very helpful in being an Uber to and from when needed. Also, I returned two weeks later because a part didn t sound right and they fix that immediately with no cost to me. Thanks a ton! Y all are the best in the area.They had previously fixed my alternator in 2023 when I was towed by local Lyda towing. Good job! I ll always return here!

5 Stars to Morris and Sons! The people who work there are so friendly. We had our car towed there. The engine was blown. They gave us a deal. Only charging us 1/2 a hours work. They had to do an oil change and other things to find out if the engine was blown or not. Then told us we could keep the car there as long as we needed to. Super nice folk there. We will forever be a customer!!

I know one of the mechanics here and he is phenomenal; I also feel the other mechanics are truly invested in doing the best they can for your car and are NOT looking to cheat you out of your money. I dropped my car off and while what I believed the problem was not the problem, the mechanic who called me said without hesitation that he would re-check what I believed was the issue. And I was not charged for the check at all--WILD.Previous to this I had a car that was sincerely at the end of its life, and instead of being told "you should spend the $8000 for your car!" (which would not be worth half that even after the work) the team told me it was not worth the cost. That was very honest. Love this place--great mechanics, great honesty.

This is the place to go in Black Mountain if you need vehicle repairs. They are professional, fair, and work quickly. They even worked in my vehicle for a same day repair after a warrantied part failed. Great folks and we re blessed to have them here in the Valley!

you don t find honest, hardworking, kind businesses like this anymore. they will work on your car without trying their hardest to run you up a bill. they aren t out to exploit you, they ve always done a quality job and came recommended from someone whose been working with them for 10+ years.

I ve been having a problem with my car and I m 600 miles away from home on vacation. They immediately looked at my car, told me the problem and quickly fixed it. Morris & Sons really helped us out! Our car started making a terrible screeching, scraping sound after we drove over a gravel road with a lot of potholes. The sound was so loud and awful we were concerned we were damaging our car more each mile we drove. We pulled in without an appointment, and they took a look right away. Turned out all that racket was coming from a little rock caught behind the rotor. They didn t charge us a penny, and in ten minutes we were on the road again, minus the screech. We really appreciated the kind and friendly service. If we lived nearby, we d use this auto repair shop again. Highly recommend.

Morris and Sons was recommended to me by another local tire shop for some work on my truck. The communication from them was thorough and they went over and above to get my truck road ready for a long trip out of town at the last minute. I use reviews a lot, but am not consistent in writing reviews. I ve been to enough marginal or slightly shady mechanics that wanna take advantage that I need to leave some kind words for Morris & Sons.Their prices are reasonable. There have been times I ve brought a vehicle in thinking it had a more expensive problem. They have pointed out that it s a lesser problem or just an old car with a rattling heat shield. An above board group. So, thank you all for your help & look forward to working with you down the road.

My Family and I were traveling from Winston Salem to Nashville to visit family for a very short spring break. After noticing my engine temp raising coming up the mountain, I expected a coolant problem stopped at O Reillys and a local recommended Morris and Sons. I called. They said come on. And they got me in and fixed the problem. We were back in our way. From someone who s family owns a local auto shop in Winston Salem it was very comforting to find someone that treated us just like we try to treat our customers. They were friendly, knowledgeably and reasonable. They were great! Use them! Support them!Service: Engine repair

My car broke down a few miles away while visiting. I asked a local where to go, and they said Morris and Sons. They were definitely right! They not only were fair on price, but they fixed it quickly. They also communicated well which made the process easy. Highly recommend.

I have had numerous experiences with Morris & Son over many years.They have done mechanical repairs to my automobile/ truck. The most recent being issues with a 1995 Chevrolet Pick up. The oil guage was not registering over zero when driving. I called to schedule time for them to check it. The problem was not a major issue & I was able to have the truck back 4 hours later.Repairs were completed in a timely manner. They pointed out what other attention is going to need attention and provided an estimate of the costs. Morris and Son is reliable, straightforward, and curious business. They back their work and do quality work. The mechanics are knowledgeable and have experience. I recommend Morris and Son for any work that is needed.

I had my alternator replaced at Morris & Sons previously and had a great experience. That alternator unfortunately went out today, but Morris & Sons went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get me back on the road quickly. I found out my alternator was still under warranty and it was replaced within a few hours. They even gave me a ride home while it was being worked on, and made sure it was ready for my partner and I to make it to work on time. Everyone was so helpful and kind. I highly recommend Morris & Sons and will certainly be a return customer. Thank you!

Morris and Sons is a great mechanic in Black Mountain. We have three trucks that we take to them for our small landscape company and they do great work. They understand that when one of our trucks are down we need them quick to make money and they always fit us in soon. They also understand they not everyone can spend a ton of money so they call whenever they need to do extra work. So this might end up a little long.... but this business went above and beyond. We traveled 9+ hours to Lake Lure, NC. The final 2hours with a alternator that died. With the help of a Facebook group, I was able to locate a reputable/trusted repair shop. Called them bright and early in the morning and explained our situation... and that we would only be in the area for 3 more days. Their response was bring the vehicle in and they would do a diagnosis of the problem. We drove to the shop with intentions to do the diagnostic tests, schedule an appointment, and then get a rental car. They saw what a tight schedule we were on and said they would squeeze us in. They dropped us off in town(Black Mountain) and we shopped and got coffees . A little over 3 hours and they completed the repair. They drove back to where we were dropped off and picked us up. Our vehicle now has a brand new alternator & belt and we are continuing our vacationing with a smooth running vehicle. Thank You Morris & Sons for going the extra mile and making what could have been a stressful start of our vacation... into an unplanned enjoyable tour of Black Mountain. Mathew and Bruce did a lot of diagnostics on a new to me car. Some of the things I thought I had to do they said hold off not necessary at this time. They told me the most urgent things to do and gave me an estimate. When I picked my car up the cost was considerably under the estimate. I m an elderly widow and I need car guys I can trust and count on. Bill s Tire Connection recommended Morris to me for the additional work I needed I m impressed!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I ve used Morris and Sons for oil changes, small, and large repairs. They are very open and honest about pricing, and will call to discuss all costs for parts and labor prior to doing any work. Diagnostics tend to be free, even if you decide to skip on the fix, and the price is great, considering that I drive a Honda and some parts are just pricey. I am so thankful for the people who work at this shop. My son is 6 hours away from home at college. His car had to be towed and someone recommended them. They took care of his car quickly and was very reasonable. I am thankful there are good honest people in the world that jump in to help out especially when family is so far away! We were traveling through Asheville, on our way to an out-of-state family funeral, and I was incredibly stressed to be there on time, when our front brakes began to smell really odd. We stopped at four auto shops, all full up for the day, until a kind gentlemen at a tire shop said he had a friend at Morris & Sons and was the only shop he would take his car to and made the phone call for us. By the time we arrived at Morris & Sons, we were two hours behind on travel and worried we would miss the funeral the following day if we needed to stay in town overnight. Morris & Sons was so, so, so, kind to us. They worked us right into their schedule, were honest enough to say they could not find an issue (after taking it on several test drives), thought it was caused by our drive from the mountains, recommended we continue on, and did not charge us a single penny...basically a shop with the courtesy and ethics from fifty years ago.

On a road trip had a wheel bearing issue. They got us in as soon as they could and fixed our issue quickly. They easily could have charged us for a whole new bearing but instead realized it only needed to be tightened. Really honest mechanic! Highly recommended business.

I live 6 hours away from Black Mtn. My son is a student at Montreat college and when his car broke down I wasn t sure what to do. Someone in the area recommended Morris & Sons and they did not disappoint! After having the car towed in, Bruce was able to work the car into their schedule and take care of the issue. As a parent, I can t thank him enough and would recommend Morris and Sons to anyone. Friendly and professional service at its best.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Morris & Sons is an excellent place to have your vehicle worked on or serviced. They do excellent work, the mechanics are trustworthy & won't tell you that work needs to be done when it doesn't. I won't trust my vehicles to anyone else.

My car had been sitting for 3 years with a dead moter and I couldn't afford to have it fixed. A coworker dropped me off one day after work. I test drove a van and took it home that day all within a hour of closing. I was evicted a few weeks later and lived in it for 3 weeks. I have had some trouble with it but nothing major. I make very little and have gotten very behind on my payments. They are very understanding. Any other car lot would have done come and took it back. Ive had it for 3 years and its almost paid for. I plan to go back and trade it in for something else when that time comes. There is no interest or late fees. You pay only what it cost and everyone pays the same a month. I highly recommend them. What do you expect from used cars. They cant be perfect or why else did the owner trade it.

This place rocks! This place is one of the most honest and knowledgeable shops in the mountains! They fixed only what I needed and there were no surprises on my bill at the end. Saved me a lot of money! Thank everyone at Morris service center.

I have passed by this car lot so many times. Finally saw exactly what I wanted and it was the easiest smoothest car buying experience I've ever has. But now I have to edit this as I was treated horribly there on a promised repair. I was yelled at by the owner who must certainly have dementia based on the hateful sudden nature of his actions. I wasn't even thinking about buying a car and should have considered another place as now I feel forced to deal with this place. I didn't get the promised repair and was treated horribly now that they have me! Just feels like a bad marriage and a divorce is coming soon. I'm sure it will be at my expense. Worth the price to not have to deal with nasty people! So much for community business. Treated like any body by any body and not a respected member of my community ..a feeling I am not use to! Taken by surprise quite frankly. Not sure what I will do except not give mean people anymore of my energy today.
