Went on an impromptu trip and stumbled across the best room ever! I booked a room about 45 minutes before arriving and I will say the service and cleanliness was a 10/10 . Chantal at the front desk made this quick visit the most convenient! She provided us with the best places to get local food, best recommendations around the area and even provided me with a charger for the night. Her kindness sealed the deal. Will definitely be returning the next time I need a mini getaway.Rooms: clean, comfy & spacious.

We have stayed at Palm Suites several years ago and our room then was awesome. This past weekend we felt like our room should have the Motel 6 motto...we will leave the light on for you. Several times during both nights the ceiling light would come on and wake us up as if daylight was coming through. I would get up walk to the entrance where the light switch is located and turn the light off and only a couple hours later for it come on again. Please replace the sensor. Plus the curtains do not cover the sliding glass door and allowed the outside lights to shine through. I suggest to replace curtains with blackout curtains along with correct size. We did report the light situation to the front desk and the response was the owners have been told several times and they will need to repair as we are not allowed to go in and repair. On a positive note: Friendly staff. Room very clean as well as the entrance of the building. I feel like we should have been offered an apology or something to make sure we would be back for another stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights last week. We arrived late on Wednesday evening, and were instantly greeted by a very pleasant front desk staff. They were very helpful and efficient. The rooms were spectacular! Very spacious, clean, and perfect for what we needed. We had a gorgeous view of the sound. Beds were very comfortable, and the pillows were great! So much firmer than most hotel pillows. Very cold AC and very quiet rooms. No noise that wakes you up in the night. We had a very minor issue with our room keys on our second day, but the front desk was able to fix that within seconds, with no issue! The pool was very nice and clean. We were a little disappointed that the gazebo was under construction during our trip. However, the hotel did text us and let us know about it before we got there, which I thought was incredibly nice! This was a great traveling experience, and we will DEFINITELY be back!

The hotel is great! Friendly staff and rooms/suites are spacious and comfortable.Maybe a silly thing but what I liked in the bathroom was that you could choose between a hand held shower or a rain shower head. Appreciated

Let s start with the positives. The location is good. Convenient to amenities. Within a short walk to the ocean. Night Shift personnel was so accommodating and pleasant. I really felt they would have done anything to make our stay enjoyable. Room was perfectly set up for our situation. However, the place is in desperate need of repair. The most beautiful part of the area is not easily accessible. The walkway and gazebo have been deemed unsafe and closed. The lobby area that gave you access to the pool was flooded and closed all day. The staff said due to condensation. Therefore you had to walk around the entire facility to get to the pool. That access was marked with signs use at your own risk There was a maintenance entrance that was more convenient and could have avoided the danger zone. But that was not opened to accommodate the problem. The day shift was not accommodating or pleasant.Every room has a balcony. However our balcony was very small and was over the parking lot and facing the main highway. When leaving our room we were looking for some of our items and found other s items under the bed. That was not a good feeling.I don t think I would stay again unless these issues were addressed.

This place is incredibly rough. We switched rooms 3 times upon our arrival due to an intense musty smell in the downstairs rooms. We settled with the last and final room option available even though there was swimwear left from the previous guests. The cleanliness of the hotel was concerning, but it was evident to me it wasn t going to get any better based on what I saw from the time I arrived. The black mold on the ceiling corner was a bit hard to accept, but we didn t have any options at this point. So we spent the evening searching for alternative hotel options, but due to unavailability we settled on getting pillows and blankets from Walmart to feel less skeeved out during the stay. A few other families who stayed at the same hotel for the same baseball tournament we were in for had the same and worse experiences to share. It s a shame because we booked this well enough in advance, but didn t expect it to be this rough given it was $190/night. The staff was very understanding until we met a different manager on the last day. She was flat out rude when expressing the issues. We were given 2 towels for 4 people upon checkin. They were out of towels 2 of the 4 day/nights we stayed there. During check out we reiterated some of the complaints respectfully, but we re told we were to reuse our towels and that others in our group were hoarding them! The woman even had the nerve to tell my wife she needed to let her speak which was very unusual because she wasn t cutting her off or disrespectful. We did reuse our 2 towels but had to wipe up water damage from a leaky shower into the foyer hallway every time we showered. Place needs some serious help and I feel bad for the good employees who work there.

We ve stayed here twice. This year s Easter weekend and in 2022. Both times, Palm Suites has met and exceeded expectations. We stayed in the rooms with bunk beds, which was able to fit the entire family. The rooms have gone through renovations and improvements. Overall great place to stay since it s a 5 minute walk to the beach. There s a food lion nearby and a few restaurants in vicinity. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and great location.

Our room wasn t ready right at check in, but after about 30 minutes, great service from the front desk staff (particularly the manager and the young woman who checked us in), and a discount for our wait I couldn t complain a bit! Lovely room and view. Within comfortable walking distance to several restaurants and the beach. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best hidden gems you will find for the price . First and foremost this is one of the best sleep s ever! Bed super clean and comfortable. The evening front desk persons were hands down the best, friendly, kind and helpful. Adorable decor.10/10 this will be a place to visit again

I have stayed here 3 separate times, in order to visit the beach. Each room is owned by a separate owner, and all rooms are furnished and decorated per the owner, so you get a different look with each room. The rooms are very adequately sized, with a small kitchenette (no stove/oven) and a decent sized bathroom. There are laundry facilities on the second floor, and a lovely pool on the ground level. Every room also has a balcony. The reason I am giving this a 4 instead of 5 is because of my last visit here. The room we got was very outdated and somewhat dirty. The furnishings were old, the decor was in need of an update, and the bathroom was small and also needed an update. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.Overall I would recommend staying here. I have been here 3 times in the last 4 months. It s reasonably priced and in close proximity to public beach access. The room in the photos was a lovely room, with two full sized beds. We had a view of the sound and a lovely breakfast nook to eat.

We booked this hotel for an event we were attending while in Emerald Isle. We checked into our room (232) and later that night I noticed a palmetto bug on the floor. My husband tried to kill it but it ran under the couch. He pulled the couch out and turns out there was MULTIPLE on the back of the couch. I immediately called the front desk and was offered room 115. We moved to that room, (after 10 pm) was getting settled and sure enough there was one in there as well. I called back to the front desk and was offered roach spray. At that point, we were already looking for another hotel but with zero luck. I ended up walking to the front desk right at shift change to express my concerns in person. The younger girl who had offered me spray had already left for the evening. The lady I was speaking with told me that the Palmetto bugs were in every hotel because it was a beach town. And that Palm Suites did not have roach spray to use. I asked her when Orkin had last came in which she was not able to provide me a date after getting their Orkin log book out in front of me. (She did however call two other hotels to check for availability for us which was very kind.) With the lack of availability and now the fact it was pushing midnight I requested that she have her manager call me at 7AM when she came in. The next morning when the manager called me I asked the manager if she was able to place a call to Orkin in which she told me no that they are on a set schedule. This was very upsetting and completely unacceptable as I felt a call to maintenance to come out and spray or Orkin would have been a start to resolving this issue not only for myself but future travelers. As a manager myself I couldn t believe the lack of willingness toresolve an issue that could be detrimental to this establishment. I also did not like the fact that house keeping only comes around if your stay is longer than 5 days.I also spoke with a family that was staying beside us in which they said they had visited the Palm Suites a year ago and did not have the problems they had this year. She stated this visit was not what they were expecting and I couldn t agree more.

I'm a travel agent & I've stayed in plenty of hotels & resorts (mainly 4-5 stars & even some diamond rated places). Me & my husband stayed here for the NC Seafood Festival. The staff was AMAZING! They were very friendly & helpful with anything we needed. The room was cute & we had a nice view of the sound. The location of the hotel was also good. I started my star deductions based on my level of comfort. I didn't sleep well, mainly because the pillows were flat. Even piling 2 pillows on top of each other didn't help. I requested extra towels on the 2nd day because there were stains on my towels. The towels were also rough, felt like I was washing & drying myself with sandpaper. I would recommend this place for a short stay, but I wouldn't stay for longer than 2 nights.

I found a cockroach in my bed.I was Mortified. I m a professional businessperson and used to a reasonable measure of curtesy. But The front desk night clerk, she was so rude and treated me like a second class citizen.Do NOT stay here if you expect cleanliness and respectful service.

More importantly, STEVE was the best! He was so kind and always had A smile on his face but was very professional. Give that man A raise because he is totally AWESOME! Lexi, you we awesome too. Keep smiling. This hotel woo become A regular for is.

Staff was incredibly helpful and Steve was outstanding......Steve answered all my questions and made it clear he was open for any other of our needs. I've visited Atlantic beach all my life for work and play and this was the first time I've ever stayed at Palm Suites. Our room was great! It was totally equipped with all that was needed and everything was so clean snd neat. It was one of the most relaxing stays anywhere! A definite return for sure.....and for a longer stay next time. Thanks again Steve!

This is a Condo/Hotel and each room is purportedly decorated differently. Room was decorated well, with some newer updates like barn door to bathroom, open bookshelves. A shabby chic vibe. However, the building itself is definitely showing age, and grounds were not well kept. Ants outside, some trash, areas needing cleaning, facade clearly covered with siding to hide (I assume rot/damage) etc. Staff was nice, and location excellent, which is for what you are there, regardless. No bugs found in room itself.

Horrible! The manager was rude. I was told to be sparingly on towels. It was my family of 4 and could only get 2 wash rags. Stayed 5 nights couldn t get my room cleaned or clean sheets. Had to take out my own trash and ask for more bags. The room was dirty. The walls were paper thin and could hear everything!!!! I will not be back. I do not recommend staying here.

This is our first day as a family. There not enough nice words to describe this place. The front desk girls are the most sweetest, they always greet you with a smile.the ROOM is Amazing, and the WHOLE Entire hotel is Very clean. This is by far the cleanest and nicest hotel we have EVER been to.Definitely going to be our regular vacation spot from now on.Update: My review up above was true - the only negative I have; is we actually left a set of keys there in the room and I have yet to see them. I have called 3 or 4 times and everytime I had called, they said they sent them. So a little tip :double check your room before you leave because there is a good possibility you won't get what you left back.
