I had a great visit at the Valvoline on 8 Blueberry Ridge today. I needed a state inspection, and the technicians there got my car in quickly, explained the process to me and were done in about 15 minutes. The cost was very affordable as well. I went on a Sunday late morning, and I highly recommend trying that time of day if you can't get there during the week. I will definitely return in the future for additional services!

Had an oil change 3/7/24. The oil change itself took over an hour without explanation. Upon leaving the shop I was not given any details about the visit or any potential concerns I should be worried about or keep an eye on.The car developed a severe oil leak after this oil change.Ended up at my trusted mechanic who informed me my oil pan plug had been miss threaded and forced tight. This resulted in the striping of my oil pan drain spout and plug. When I arrive to my mechanic it was so stripped that he was able to screw it loose with his hands. I paid for that repair and was encouraged to contact the shop of my last oil change and alert them to the disservice I had received.Upon talking to the store (8 Blue Berry Ridge, AVL, NC, 28804) I was informed that in the staff notes from that date, the car arrived to the shop 3/7/24 with weak oil pan plug threads and a slow oil leak. While there was a concern on arrival, the stripping and leak was significantly worsened with this oil change. The staff was kind enough to NOT tell me any of this helpful knowledge and sent me on my way at risk of dumping my entire engine worth of oil out on the road.I will also say this is my first time at this location I previously only used the Merrimon Ave Valvoline location . Which means this oil pan plug stripping came from a Valvoline anyways.Alex the store manager assured me he would address this with his staff but would not offer a refund for the service since it was a known issue (known only to their staff).The moral of me sharing this is that you SHOULD NOT EVER go to a Valvoline unless you want your oil plan plug stripped or any other potential damaged caused to your vehicle. And to help you be aware that they won t tell you about the issue or help you resolve this issue.

Let me say this for the record. Generally I would have changed the oil myself this is something that I have done for decades right at home in my driveway. But, due to the cold weather when I was scheduled to change it, I opted to go to a oil change drive through service and went to Valvoline Instant Oil Change. It was a comfortable time sitting in the car and to have someone else change the oil, that part I really enjoyed. They even checked things like air filter and tail lights.I learned where the cabin filter was and how to access it. And all from the comfort of my driver seat.The tires were filled to specs, however when asked what the pressure was that they put, it was actually higher than the specs on the label on the car door. While it was only 2 PSI over specs, so I did not complain.I will say that I was not prepared for the inspection points therefore I was also not prepared to be able to know what the prices of the air filter or cabin air filter was and if I could have found better prices, they did allow for some adjustments and price changes.But, in the area of prices the one thing that stood out to me was the very high price of the oil. $19.00 a quart.While the comfort was enjoyable...it was an experience and I will be back to changing the oil myself next time because this DIYer can do it for less.

I went in this morning for just an oil change in my Mini Cooper. I gave one of the techs a coupon for $15 off and specifically told him that I wanted the regular 5W30 full synthetic. He said ok. After the oil change was completed and it was time to pay a different tech told me that my total was $101. I said I gave the other guy a coupon for the $15 off and he said they took the $15 off. They'd put the euro synthetic oil in after I said I only wanted the regular full synthetic. The guy told me that when they scan the door they have to put in what the car calls for. I have a suggestion. Why not put in what the customer asks for? It's their car. I will not be returning.

These guys are great at what they do, and they seem to enjoy working together while they do it. They're quick and efficient, explain answers to your questions, and don't try to push pricier items unnecessarily. Great team to have taking care of my family's vehicles!

I gave a five star review, if there was a 10 star I would have gave him a 10. Those three guys that service me this morning was professional and every aspect of the word. It was an actual pleasure to have my oil changed which is not a very delightful job anyway but these guys struck the ball out of the ballpark.. thanks guys great job see you next time

Love how they treated me! I was nervous as I had never used them before, my daughter recommend me to them. Lee was great explained everything! Loved all the little extras they do for everyone.... although at the time thought it was just me :o) Shows you how well they treated me! Great location! Been to this location several times. The guys working there are always so nice and helpful. As a mom with a toddler, it s wonderful to not have to get out of the car while the oil gets changed! They are consistently finished with the change in less than 20 minutes if I don t have to wait in line. I ll keep coming back!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

They listened to my questions. And were receptive to my comments & suggestions. We talked about a cabin air filter, & they said they would gladly install it, even if I bought it somewhere else.! They were great! Because they were busy, I did have to sit & wait 22 min before I was able to pull into the shop. Once in there it only took about 20 more minutes.

Above and beyond service today!Everyone was kind, efficient, friendly and fast. Love that you stay in your car. Had an issue that was not their fault at all but they repaired it with no charge or hesitation.If anyone who works at Valvoline actually reads this the crew who worked on my car today was awesome

This Valvoline is not good at all. When they filled my oil it was lower than the dipstick suggests and when I asked the guy about it he said to me it's because the oil is cold. I haven't getting oil changes for a long long time. Many decades much longer than he's been alive. I do not like the store and I will not go to Valvoline because of this store and the one on merrimon Ave

Went there today for an oil change and my car would not start so that I could drive into the service bay. The service guys helped me by checking my battery and then charging it. It still wasn't starting. My husband arrived and we thought it would be quicker to use jumper cables from his car. Since my car was in the way, the guys Pushed my car Up the hill so that it was beside my husband's car!! We got it hooked up and in about 5 minutes my car Started!!!Thanks to all the great service guys for helping us out!! Since we have an appointment tomorrow with our mechanic we will get everything checked out. Then I will be back to get my oil change

These guys are the best. Friendly, personable, and know what they're doing.Update: Apparently these people forgot to tighten everything up and I ended up having a bad oil leak. That in turn led me to get an oil pressure sensor which cost me. My daughter went there and had to call my husband to go help her cause they didn't tighten stuff up on her car either. I will not take my car there again.

I have been using this location to change oil in my car for the last four oil changes. I would not recommend this location. Took my 2020 Kia Telluride to dealership for oil leak from a cracked oil filter housing that was caused by over tightening of oil filter, called and talked with manager he says they are not responsible for this mistake, he was very rude , not only with me but the dealership. I called corporate office, sent email with invoice number to them, haven t heard anything from them. My car was in the shop for 10 days waiting on the manager to make a decision if they were responsible. It has cost over $500.00 for their mistake. ( which they won t admit to) for repairs plus a rental car. Don t recommend this place at allServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

I guess first come first serve doesn't really mean much but I got passed by three other customers passed me by.. I guess it's their good luck.. but I just left when I bring my two vehicles there often..and it wasn't longer then usual.. you literally moved people around and three people went in front of me.all it takes is one poor instance of customers service and you loss a long time customer. I went to another service station on Leicester hwy and they didn't seem to have any problem figuring out first come first serve.

Saw Groupon 30% off so I bought full synthetic for 6000 miles, then when you come there they tell you you only have to pay $25 more , I was like for what? He said it only includes oil, not the filter. I said whatever, ok. Then I see sticker says 3000 miles, not 6000. I asked why 3, he said we just can t put 6, ok that s weird.Then I leave and notice on the receipt it said premium filter . Then I go to Groupon and it says regular filter included. So they lied.Their whole business model is to rip off their customers to the core. Don t go there. Eventually I paid the same amount weather I would use Groupon or not. If not more.

Called to schedule an appointment 5 different times they would not answer the phone and the answering machine is full so couldn t leave a message drove by to make sure they were open and they were 4 employees and no one could answer the phone. You would think running a business that answering the phone might be a vital part of the business.
