Great experience working with Willis and his team. They helped us get back on the road when my wife s radiator stopped working late in the afternoon on a weekend. These are local people who run a great shop. I would highly recommend!

Excellent service at the Hendersonville Rd. location as always! I'm especially impressed that I don't have to be concerned about someone knowing how to drive my manual VW Jetta. Thank you Graham, Preston, Kevin, Jonathon and team for taking such good care of my car!I had an oil change and needed new spark plugs, so I got a much needed tune-up without paying VW dealership prices (and didn't have to wait long either!). It was also nice to have the 90-day, interest-free payment option. I truly appreciated their kind, honest and straightforward explanations as they showed me my service history on CARFAX.No need to ever question their expertise--they are the best!(My only suggestion when waiting in the office/lobby: post a sign that asks customers to please put their phones on vibrate. A guy sitting near me had no "phone etiquette"---loud ring, took several calls and watched YouTube or social media which could be heard by everyone).

I went in for an oil change and check engine light. They were able to order the part and fix my vehicle without me having it towed across the city to Subaru. They also offer in store financing, which was extremely helpful since I wouldn t have the money for a costly repair until the end of the month. Will definitely be using them for future repairs.

Poor alignment service! Not only is the price high, but it doesn't match the quality. You go specifically to get alignment done to prevent tire wear, yet here, after 1.5 months, the tire wore out after alignment. I don't recommend getting alignment done here.

This mechanic shop was referred to me by a friend/coworker..he told me 'they was pricey","but well worth it"..well let me tell you,they definitely are!!driving a Subaru, options are plentiful here in Asheville..I went to a few shops around town(Subaru's R us, Prestige Subaru, Allen's gulf)..decide to go w/SpeeDee's..Graham & the rest of the staff there were very courteous,insightful & kept me updated on my vehicles progress..in the end,I saved $$ & 100% satisfied with the work that was done..A very,very honest place,bottom line..thanks to the entire staff @ SpeeDee's..

Professional all the way. I appreciate the quick welcome and orientation to parking as this was my first visit. I'm satisfied and will return for my next vehicle need.Returned one year later; another quality service, including discover of a broken windshield wiper that I had not yet noticed. The waiting area was spot-less, amazingly clean and tidy. They are ready for Valentine's Day, just need flowers on the desk. Please keep this efficient team of staff.

Charged me $2,000 to fix an oil leak which they did not fix.Also they left trash somewhere in the engine apparently.I picked my car up and got 5 minutes down the road before I turned around and went back to the shop. The vehicle was unable to reach 3000 rpm. The mechanic told me that they left trash in the engine.Don't go here.

Almost a $200 oil change..... was about 130 bucks for oil.... Then $50 for a tire rotation.... I can kind of get the oil because that's a little more than what's usual but $50 to rotate tires is a tad much. Sadly, I will not be back.

Giving 1 star because oil change was fine HOWEVER A/C hasn t been working for awhile so I finally had time to ask to run a test along with my oil change. Was told there was a leak in my condenser (so they apparently saw the fluorescent dye leak out during the test). Told me it would be $1300 to fix the a/c and we re pushing to get it done, even showing me the alleged dye leak with a flashlight (though I saw nothing). Asked if they serviced the air they said yes. Charged me $200, fine because I also got my oil changed. Decided not to get it fixed that day and went to find a second opinion. Took it to a small place out of town and they ran the exact same test, showing no leak at all. Serviced my a/c and lo and behold it s blowing cold again. Either SpeeDee was trying to con me out of $$$$ or their techs don t know how to do a proper dye test. Either way, never going back for anything as they ve lost my trust. Just beware and get second opinions!

Took my car in for a State Inspection and they got it in super fast, all of the employees were super nice and accommodating, and the place felt very safe and integrity-based. I ve been coming to SpeeDee for nearly 4 years now. As a woman, I have often been made uncomfortable and feel out of place at other car repair shops I ve been too. That has never been the case here at SpeeDee. The technicians are always so kind and understanding. I ve never been made to feel like I don t know anything or made to felt silly. They explain everything down to the last detail and give their honest opinion regardless. Their work is also top notch. I recall when I took my car there for some work and maintenance before taking a cross country road trip and didn t have a single issue or hiccup once while on the road. I cannot recommend them enough :)Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning, Oil change

Do not go to this shop, and do not let them touch your car!A couple days ago a friend brought me her SUV to have the brake pads replaced and to check out an odd noise coming from the engine. Less than 1k miles ago she had brought it into this shop to get the oil changed. They changed the oil and replaced the air filter, they also advised her that she was in dire need of a brake job. I check out the SUV and immediately find almost no oil in the motor, the new air filter ruined, and her brakes in more than great condition. The noise she was hearing we re the hydraulic cam tensioners losing pressure and the cam chain slapping the inside of the motor from lack of oil, luckily we were able to catch this in time before any major damage occurred. Oil was leaking from the oil filter housing at the bottom of the motor, an oil sealing o-ring was missing from the filter housing causing oil to leak out. I am confident the technician who did this knew the filter housing was leaking, as it had been incredibly over-tightened in an attempt to stop the oil leak. Not only that, but an incorrect oil filter had been used, it was larger than the correct filter which caused it to be twisted and smashed as it was installed into the motor. The air filter had been installed upside down and backwards which made it not fit into the airbox. The technician smashed the filter trying to make it fit, and ended up leaving the airbox half open because it wouldn't close. The SUV s front brakes had more than 90% pad life, the rear had 70% and the rotors we re in excellent condition, absolutely no need for a brake job. The technician lied to her about the brakes needing to be done, they showed her an indication gauge claiming to display less than 10% pad life left on both the front and rear. I am confident if she had agreed to let this shop fix her brakes, they would have billed her for the job and not even touched them.The two simple maintenance jobs this shop performed we re executed unbelievably poorly. This shop lied and tried to steal from an innocent mother, and they did all this while charging her too much for the work that was done.Please please do not let this shop damage your car, there are plenty of honest and reputable independent mechanics that will charge half of what this shop will charge to do a job 100x better.(the photos I have are only of the missing o-ring and squished oil filter, unfortunately I was unable to get a picture of the smashed air filter)

Had an excellent experience at SpeeDee with a difficult situation with my front brakes. I knew the brakes, calipers, rotors, and wheel bearings were shot and they were about to assess, diagnose, and repair the front end in one day. They definitely live up to the name SpeeDee! I was in and out so quickly with everything I needed. It made a task that I had been putting off so much easier and everyone was so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend and will definitely be a return customer.

Do not! I repeat do not have any mechanical work done at this place!! I had ball joints and hub bearings done here. 2 months after having my ball joints replaced my driver side failed and left me stranded in South Carolina at 2:00 in the morning causing critical damage to my tie rods. 8 months later my passenger side hub bearings have failed due to improper installation! They need to stick to oil changes if they can even do that right!!

I m very upset . I was about fix my air conditioning in my car. they charged me $161 just for checking the problem on my ac. they said it was all fine but turn out it still didn t work out after all and they just realized that something problem with my ac. come on, you charged me $161 for checking that s too much money for the fault . and i have to go back tomorrow again to make sure .LOL. and they even will charge me more $600 .. for what ? for wasting my time and my money for NOTHING???

I came in today for an oil change. The oil change went great and was quick. However my mechanic tried to talk me into a brake fluid replacement telling me my brake fluid shouldn't be light yellow and should instead be clear. I've bought and used brake fluid before and it's always yellow, just a heads up for those who might be tricked.

I stopped in for an oil change and tire rotation for an older vehicle. I had done all the preventive maintenance except the brakes. After inspecting my car, the technician advised that my front brakes were worn out. I had them get it done and I was impressed with how quickly my car was ready. The price was reasonable. Knowledgeable and expeditious. Only truly needed service recommended. Yay!

Got the oil changed in a small hybrid and it cost $145. That's ridiculously expensive. They suck! They didn't say what the prices were until they drained the oil out of the vehicle.

My son recommended this business to do the oil change on my Nissan Rogue 1, before my daughter & I drive back to Montana. They changed the oil & the service was fast & the techs were friendly. One of the guys noticed that my rear brakes were about shot. They gave me an estimate (no pushing involved to talk me into it) . We got on our phones & compared prices. Theirs was in the ballpark, so we made an appointment for the next morning. They greeted us when we drove up the next morning. Again, friendly & courteous. When they finished, they left the car running for us so we wouldn't have to get into a hot car.If we lived in Asheville, we would absolutely utilize this business!! Finding a mechanic that I trust is difficult, but I'm glad I've found this shop. I've been going here for years fir oil changes but recently brought in my car for what I thought was a brake issue. Turned out to be something more, but they took care of it. A mistake was made due to a computer system error (unknown at the time). I submitted acomplaint and the area manager contacted me the next day (on his vacation). He investigated the issue and explained what happened. I brought the car back in, and it was corrected at no charge to me. I'm glad that o can continue to recommend this shop!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

Went to get my state inspection and last year had no issues, passed with flying colors. This year they told me every window of my car needs to have the tint removed. They failed it after I stated yes to an oil change, tire rotation, new lights, new filter and a few other things. OF COURSE they would complete all the additional services before they inform me about my fail my inspection. Never again.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change
