Didn't get service done here. I saw a "beware of dog sign". No thanks. I do not want to be aggressively barked at and jumped on while just asking if someone can look at my car. As I was leaving, some guy rudely tapped on my window to move. Well jeez, sorry I was wanting to get out the cramped parking lot too.

I've been here a couples times, they do good work and VERY inexpensive compared to other shops in the area. You have to get there before they open in the morning because they are very popular and the jobs stack up.

I had a squeaky belt that seemed like it needed to be replaced. I was told the belt was in fine condition but was squeaking because of a water pump that was leaking coolant onto the belt. I paid 600 for a new water pump, the problem wasn't fixed until I had someone else just put a new belt in for 50.Evidently, they will take advantage of you if able.

Jim& Stephanie entire staff are honest & truthful about repairs. I live in W-S and only trust them with repairs. Best in Asheville.

Custom exhaust installed a complete replacement exhaust on my 2016 Polaris slingshot. I didn t know anything about this place of business until I drove in and asked if they could do the job. They had never worked on a vehicle of this type before, but assured me they could help me. They were the most knowledgeable, professional, experienced people I have dealt with in many years. Not only did they do the job perfectly, but their cost estimate was accurate and absolutely fair. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any of the services they provide!!!Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

This place is always busy, but its cause they are freaking awesome. All the staff are super helpful and kind. When you do get your car in, they work fast and get you in and out asap. Fair prices and trustworthy folks.

They replaced my alternator which might have fixed an intermittent electrical issue, but they just replaced the alternator a year or so ago, they did replace my serpentine belt and hood bolts. They clearly didn t check fluid levels, when I got home I found out the transmission fluid was low. They claimed that they were short staffed, but that doesn t excuse taking a whole month to replace a few things.

For 17 years I ve had Jim and Ashley work on my vehicles, ever since I ve moved to WNC. I live in Marion and have my work and personal vehicles towed directly to them. They are always fair in price and always go above and beyond to get my vehicle in. I should have left this review years ago. Great people and a great business! Thank you guys for always going above and beyond!

We are from Raleigh and were headed back when we realized that, following hitting a pothole last night, the muffler had melted the bumper. We randomly called Custom Exhaust and they graciously agreed to fit us in to see if it was safe to drive back to Raleigh. They were able to make a couple of small adjustments that made it safe to travel. They charged very little and sent us on our way with peace. We are very thankful.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

They were really nice and reasonably priced. When I called they asked us to show up between 730 and 8am because they get booked up really quick. We were out of there by 9am and they did a great job on our exhaust!

Jim and all the mechanics and staff at Custom Exhaust & Brakes, Inc are true professionals. Honest, trust-worthy, i have been going here for over 6 years; with many cars serviced. Lately, i have appreciated their thorough reviews, and their pricing is so fair. They sent me home with all my issues on my Audi resolved, with a $5 bill. you cannot beat that. I stopped by to get my truck looked at on 7/11. They said they were too busy for the next few days and I could drop it off on Friday, 7/15 at 8am. I come back Fri at 8 am and they say they are already booked for the day, they don't take appointments, and it's "first come, first serve". I'm not sure how you are actually supposed to go about getting work done on your vehicle without them wasting your time. I'll be finding another mechanic.

Been with these guys for years! Jim and his staff are amazing! Very friendly, very fair, and very professional. Super bunch of mechanics! They are on a first come, first serve basis. Drop car after hours and leave brief description of work to be done and keys in drop box. No hassle car repair

I needed the catalytic converter replaced and a tune up done on my Subaru Forrester. I called them on Monday, they ordered the part and I dropped off my car this morning. They gave me a ride home! They were so wonderful., professional and affordable .Ihighly recommend them and will use them again if I have any car problems.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have experience with doing auto repair and I have been bringing my vehicles with problems here for over ten years. I tend to bring technical questions/ opinions . I have found them noteworthy for their listening, openness to questions, transparency and their awareness of what they know and what they do not. Their willingness to step into unfamilar territory has served my well. I see the team as worth their weight in gold.
