I disagree. Bob isn't interested in fixing your vehicle if you don't want to buy the parts he recommends. I hired him to put a part in my truck transmission. Had it for 2 days and then called with a big list of parts and when I didn't buy them, he didn't even install the part we had agreed upon. He just put it back together and changed me $150. Use this company at your own risk Oh and BTW Bring CASH because "Bob" doesn't accept any credit or debit cards.

If you need to have your transmission repaired, this is the place.I probably have a rebuilt transmission that is better than when it left the factory. Bob is fair, knowledgeable, friendly. You will be glad to have met him.

Worst experience ever!!!! Highly recommend not using this place! My vehicle was left unlocked and all my belongings inside were stolen. Nothing was done to make it right. I had just gottwn back froma vacation so i had alot of things in my car. Police cant do anything, insurance doesnt cover personal belongings. I was screwed. He didnt csr that it happened on his property he claimed no responsibility. The break in happend at 4am and was on camera. I really think it was a meth head from the trailer park beside the bussiness.Service: Transmission

Met Bob and was impressed by the man. He's got some experience showing in the gray hair, but seems to have that good work ethic that you find in more mature people.

Best customer service I've ever experienced. I came in from out of town and my car decided to misbehave... They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. If everyone in Asheville is as nice as they are, I may come more often. :)

I was traveling through asheville..ended up having transmission issues and made it to Bobs Transmission Service. I ended up having to rent a truck and have my vehicle towed home to hickory. This family was most gracious and kind to me, when there was no benefit to them. Their son even took me to get a rental car and wouldnt let me pay an uber to take me. This family restored for me that day..simple human kindness without expectation for anything in return. I am grateful to this family and will be back to them for any transmission needs I have, or any that my family in asheville has. If you have a heart to support good local people I would highly recommend Bob and his family.

Upfront and honest! He saved me $3000 dollars! Told me it wasn't the transmission at all it was an engine problem! Good Christian mechanic won't steer you wrong

I have a late 90s manual transmission Honda Civic was told they do not work on standard transmissions Keep it in mind if you call them

If you ever need your car worked on take it to Bob transmission they are real good on working on cars and trucks.
