Took my car to Advanced Auto, 801 Fairview Rd, Asheville, NC to purchase a new battery ($250) for a 2019 VW. I was told by the AA employee that it could be the alternator instead of the battery and he suggested going next door to Meineke for an evaluation. Red Flag. For $461 Meineke determined that the alternator was fine and only the battery needed to be replaced. I was charged $89 to remove and replace a battery, plus another $159 for labor on top of a $69 diagnostic test for a $223 battery. Also they charge 3% to pay with a credit card and did not tell me. I almost feel like this was a scheme between these two companies. Non-the-less it was a major rip off.

2021 and 2022 Just went to get a computer for my car. We ordered it last night and it was in this morning. I think that's pretty handy. 10/28/2022 It has not changed, still a professional, experienced and same good people. If you need something, or an answer to a question your going to get it correctly.11/3/2022 Thank you guys at Advance Auto my Daughter in law and I had a good time getting parts today. Learned a couple things too. I didn't know the difference in anti freeze, now we do. And fuses too.

Last week I stopped with a flat tire at the end of the day. I was desperate since my husband was out of town. Since the manager was ready to close I pleaded for him to help me so I could get home. He was not familiar with my car but looked up the necessary information to put on the spare. He could not have been kinder. Great person and great service

Great Deal. They have a combo sale for oil n filter for $37. Normally full synthetic oil is $36. So got oil filter for a dollar more. Perfect. Thx Advanced 801 Fairview Rd Asheville

Had a small problem. Overheated. The guys sold me the part and loaned me the tools to fix it on the spot! We're great courteous and the entire process only took me 20 mins. Couldn't have done it without these guys. Awesome.

Had a wonderful experience at this spot today. My car battery died and had called them for help on what to do. They had my car s batteries in stock and could install it for me. When I arrived, I was greeted by Eric who was very knowledgeable and helpful. His kindness was a shining light for my day which made my stressful start to the day end on a good note. 5/5 stars for Eric!!

Zero customer service and zero emotional intelligence. It would scare me to own a business with this employee representation.I went in to buy an optima battery while being oncall for a local hospital. Carter then informed me that they don t change batteries in weather like this (26 degrees and sunny). He charged me a core charge despite me explaining I was going to change battery right outside.I asked to borrow a deep 10 mm socket for my ratchet. After changing battery, i walked to store with trash. Then when walking back to grab core so i could get a refund . This is when another employee came out and reminded me to return the 10mm socket! Basically implying I was going to steal it. Any common sense would say to wait until i returned with core to ask or hey maybe offer a hand! Very Sad the work ethic and care these men showed.I then went to Biltmore advance auto on Hendersonville highway to buy the second battery since its a Diesel. Wayne offered to change my battery and even though I changed myself he came out with tools to offer a helping hand despite me declining his help several times. Moral of the Story go to advanced auto on Hendersonville Hwy or the one in black mountain for good service!

Went in this evening to get a headlight for my car. I gave the rude clerk my cars information and rather than taking like two seconds and getting up out of his chair and showing me, he gestured in the general direction of the headlights. We basically played hot or cold until I made it to the "right" one. I get it, he rings it up. I get home to install it and its the wrong light. I then called this store to let them know that it was the wrong light. The guy on the phone, who I presume was the clerk that rung me up, then made it out like it was my problem he sold me the wrong light. In hindsight I should have looked at the blown bulb before trusting an advanced auto parts employee. I don't ever leave bad reviews, but this just burnt me up. This was some of the worst service, which I could have understood if they were busy, but I was one of two people in the store. I learned I'm never going to this store in the evenings again.

They are okay. They generally have the parts, are willing to help, and do not have long lines. I needed my battery changed and they would not do it because it had rained earlier in the day. Thankfully another customer was happy to do it for me. Otherwise they would be 5-stars.

James and the crew at my store always have great attitudes and are extremely knowledgeable on any parts and accessories I have needed over the years. This location has helped me with batteries, rotors, brakes and many other parts for my families vehicles. I highly recommend this location and staff!

Past experiences were pleasant with great service, however, last encounter we were unsatisfied. I bought a battery two days ago and put it in the car. My father had already purchased a battery at a better cost. So I tried to return it and was told that once the battery was put into the car, there are no returns. I have made a call to the corporate office to express my concern.

Very clean, and organized. Super friendly staff, that might actually know what they're doin. Always well stocked, and waited on quickly. These guys will remind you of the things you may haven't thought about.

Yo I had Eddie and he freaking came out and installed the air hose I ordered. As we did it together he came into some issues that wouldve been detrimental to me in progress. He handled it all like a pro and I would so highly suggest you go here if you have car stuff you don't know how to do. 100% awesome experience cause he did all this while it was snowing! Thanks Eddie you are the man!

I do not suggest this store, they are lazy. I went in to buy a battery for my car, they told me I could buy it but they couldn t install it due to having to put codes in to change it. They just didn t wanna go outside and get cold. I went to a part store down the road and they were more then happy to change it and I didn t have to have any codes put in.

What a relief! I finally found an alternate dimension where Covid-19 never happened and I don't have to worry about wearing a mask in public! In case you're confused - that was sarcasm. No one working at this store had a mask on and the store was over-staffed. I don't even doubt that the callous staff at this location doesn't care that I won't ever come back. Shame on you. How dare you put my life and the lives of your staff and other customers at risk?

On our way to Asheville we got a real bad flat tire and found out we were missing a specific tool in order to fix the flat tire we had. Luckily we stopped near here and Eddie went above and beyond to help my husband find the right tool and not only that, he also helped to loosen the lugnut that was very much tightened and made sure we had what we needed to change the flat tire. Thank you Eddie and if anyone needs help finding the right tool or just help in general at this auto parts, Eddie is the best!

Great service. I purchased brakes that cracked and then warped the rotors. The brakes were under warranty and it was so easy to go in and have everything replaced.

I ve never had a poor experience with any Advance I ve been to, and.that includes all of the surrounding ones in this area. This particular Adavance Auto though...!1. Not well educated; if I have to explain what a sway bar is, then....why the heck were they hired? I ll throwI m that I m a female too.2. Not at all helpful; not in finding a particular part necessary; for not only my safety, but for others on the road, and needed asap.3. Preoccupied with personal phones.4. Smug.5. Unfriendly.
