I bought a car that had skipped timing, so I brought the head, as well as valves, guides, and seals to Allison's. They quoted me an exceptional price for all the work, and an estimated 2 weeks. 9 days later, they called and they had done it all, and done it right. I paid exactly what I was quoted, everything was professional.I wanted to wait to write this until I finished reassembling the engine to be sure, and now I have. Everything runs beautifully. Allison's is a very nice shop, with kind people who know what they're doing. I will definitely head down there for whatever machining needs I have in the future.

Was told 3 weeks took half a year. They scratched new cam bearings installing them and so much more its disgusting. Stole my money and lied to me.....

At first they gave me the wrong head, then they tried to say my head wasn t mine, they over torqued all my cam bolts in foot pounds instead of inch pound to the point when i broke them loose to spin the cam one broke, they didn t adjust the valves properly, so i do not recommend them after all the trouble they gave me!

What a shame. For 20 years I have taken all my motor jobs to Tony at Allison's Machine Shop. Recently took a motor to him, just a simple tear down and rebuild. No machining required. Quoted 800, PAID 1300.Let's list the issues:1. Missing brand new water pump2. Missing water pump pulley3. Missing bolts from oil pan4. Valve seals weren't replaced as this was the main issue5. I was given a box of extra bolts( not the correct bolts for the oil pan) and no one knew where they came from....6. I was charged 1300 bucks for nothing.7. They reused old gaskets. Which caused a coolant leak and forced to to pull motor out again to replace gaskets. The moral of this story is simple.....find another shop....Tony doesnt care anymore and he only sees the potential for screwing people out of the money.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I WOULD HAVE A STEAL O-RING IN THE FG INTAKE PORT. MY KNOWLEDGE IS YOU PEOPLE DONT LIKE PEOPLE FROM THE NORTH. I WILL NEVER CALL OR USE THIS MACHINE SHOP EVER AGAIN. YOU PEOPLE ARE SLOW AND I BELIEVE YOU PEOPLE STUCK THE O-RING TO DESTROY MY VALVE.
