I highly recommend East Coast Auto and Diesel. While I was traveling to Calabash, my car began to have some issues. They not only squeezed me in that Monday, but after examining my car, they determined the issue was most likely related to a recall. They could have taken advantage of me, a young female, and fixed the issue without notifying me of the recall correlation but instead they instructed me to take it to Nissan where they would handle it for free. They also didn't charge me for the time they took to inspect my car. I think this story goes to how honest and caring this shop is!

This local auto shop is great! They are very responsive with providing a quote, and the pricing is more than reasonable especially considering their mechanical expertise and customer service. I m new to owning a diesel truck and Sean (Owner) was more than happy to answer a few questions I had even though they were busy, and he even shared additional wisdom on taking care of a diesel. This is the place to go if you need work done on your diesel and want it done right.

Stopped in late afternoon on Friday, 8/4/2023 with a thunderstorm rapidly approaching and an issue with my boat trailer that I needed to fix before continuing south to Charleston. Explained the problem and Sean said he'd give it a try. He proceeded to spend the next hour under my boat trailer getting me back on the road and when I asked him how much I owed him, he refused to take any money. Said he was glad he could help and to travel safe the rest of the way.The world needs more people like Sean Daily. Give this man your business, you won't be disappointed.

The undercarriage of my honda civic si dropped out making a horrible noise I pulled over and tried to push it back up so i could drive it. I had to get on a conference call so I was sitting on a side street when a large pickup truck pulled up beside me and motioned for me to roll down my window he said he was at East Coast auto and diesel a block over. I explained I would be on the call for an our he said fine just bring it over and he would fix it. I brought it to him after my call and when I walked in the two young ladies seemed to know I was coming. They went out and got the gentlemen he smiled asked for my keys and promptly fixed my problem. He then with a smile he said he could not charge me for the little work he did. Handed me a card and told me to have a great fourth of July. I am terrible with names the card he gave me says Sean Daily Owner. If he was not the owner he certainly acted like one. Will recommend this place forever.

This was my first experience at East Coast Auto & Diesel. Melissa made my appointment booking easy and timely for what I needed done. Sean was professional and went above and beyond to make sure my car was drivable. We re from out of town and he made sure I didn t leave until my lights were working and the car was ready for my drive home. Recommendations for future care weren t just about making more money and he gave me several options to make sure I had more than enough information to make my decision. Sean and his team are awesome! I was on vacation with my family and my vehicle started acting up. I called and even though they were booked solid, as soon as Sean heard I was on vacation they told me to bring it in and they would fit me into the schedule. He diagnosed the issue, cleaned/repaired the issue, told me he was confident it would get me home and told me what to have my local mechanic check when my vacation was completed. I met Sean a few years ago when my Sebring needed work. Sean put it up on the lift and told me he could fix it, however I would be in his shop every few weeks because the thing was about shot. I thought wow, an honest mechanic. I knew right then that I had found my mechanic for life. Sean also found me an amazing deal on a wonderful Subaru. Sean and his team are amazing. He will make time for you, even when he is getting slammed with work. He is professional and knows what he is doing. He will make sure that not only does he fix the problem you came in with, he will go over your car to make sure nothing else will pop up. You feel completely taken care of and appreciated. Great mechanic! They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Changed my oil, replaced brake pads, and repaired mistakes made by a local chain that will go nameless, all for a VERY reasonable price. Had issue with with battery not holding a charge, from the moment I called to the moment I walked in the front door I was treated great ! Was on my vacation, long drive from Mississippi to the Carolinas. But I found this cool shop while out & about. Great atmosphere, friendly people. I was there twice, in & out pretty quickly, too. Had great conversations with Melissa, so that definitely helped the time go by. Would recommend stopping by.Thanks Melissa, you re a doll. Hmu

I don't even know where to begin... I've been in NC for almost 4 years and have had my 2005 SUV serviced at multiple locations, some just ok, some bad.... That was until today... East Coast has my business for life...My check engine light came on 3 days ago, blinking if I went over 32mph, it would stop blinking if I let off the gas & when stopped at a traffic light it was idling extremely high and rough... I knew there was something wrong and had to be looked at. My husband told me about "East Coast Auto" in Calabash, so I took it there without an appointment and as soon as I told Sean (Owner) the issue he immediately went to work to figure out the problem.. No water in the Air Filter (good news) so he put it in the garage and within 10 minutes had the problem diagnosed... He and his team checked everything over, allowed me to go inside the garage to see what & how they diagnosed the issue(s), showed me parts that needed replaced etc.. They INVOLVED me of every move they made.Then they immediately went to work to fix what I could afford today and told me what future work needed to be done... Once I have the money I will have this vehicle repaired by none other then East coast Auto..Sean, his wife and their team are extremely knowledgeable, understanding and most definitely know what they are talking about.. I will be a repeat customer, only visiting the other place for yearly inspections...Thank you Sean so much, my SUV is running great..Service: Auto maintenance

I was on a family vacation and had some engine problems. I went to East Coast and to say they took great care of me is an understatement. I explained to them that I had no other way to get home if I didn t get my vehicle repaired quickly. They immediatly diagnosed the problem and when they realized the part wasn t going to be delivered for at least three days but I only had two days to get back home or my kids were going to miss 2 days of school and I was going to miss 2 days of work. Somebody from the shop got in their own vehicle and drove hours away to get the part for me. They stayed late at work that day and completed the job a day earlier than expected. They had every opportunity to take advantage of me but did the complete opposite! These guys are super knowledgeable, professional and go over and above! I am so thankful for everything they did and especially for their honesty at a time like this! It s great to see there are still people and businesses that operate at a higher level like east coast does! Thank you to Ryan, Tom and the girls in the office for everything! I am forever grateful!

I was pleased with this shop.Long story short: I needed a good conversion van, and I needed to trade in my disabled truck on it -- and these guys delivered. In just a couple hours after I stopped in and test-drove the van parked out front, the deal was done, the documents were signed, and I was driving off in my new ride. What's more, the folks at East Coast were all friendly and helpful, and I left feeling confident in my purchase (and, confident that my poor old truck was in good hands for repair). In a word: a satisfying transaction.So, much thanks to everyone at East Coast Auto who worked with me that day, for getting me back on the road. I am truly grateful for your service :-)

I want to give a huge shout out to this business!! I broke down right down the street from them and limped my car to them!!! I walked in the lady at the front was so nice and I told her my issues which was I was heading home to Raleigh right then I had my daughter with me and she said let's see what we can do!!!(btw this is first thing on a Monday morning too) Sean was the one who came out he Diagnosed my issues(my gas pedal malfunctioned) he got the part ordered and fixed it in about a hour!! I'm just saying that is service with a smile all the way around! Thank you so much!!! A mama was stranded and you guys saved the day! We are home safe!

My wife, Jenna, and I are so glad we found Sean and his wife. We just purchased a 2019 F350 diesel dulley to pull our fth wheel and Sean was very professional and knowledgeable. Ryan, claims to be the owner. We paid for a diagnostic. He said it was the fuel pump. We paid for that, then he said we needed a new thermostat. We agreed to that, after being reassured it would fix our car. Then it was, a coolant problem and a transmission problem. I asked why? He got irate. I said OK, we've paid almost 1000.00 dollars. Just please fix it. When can I pick it up? He would not give me an answer. He said he would take out the parts we already paid for. Not refund our money. And we can have our broke down car. Worst service company that I have EVER experieced! He is a bully, not a tradesman. I'm going to pick up my car tomorrow. If you trust him, be willing to be a doormat. Get walked on. Cross your fingers that he chooses to actually fix your car. Be smarter then me, don't pay up front.

Very good organization to work with and highly recommended. I called on Saturday New Year's weekend when I couldn't find any other place open for business and landed this gold mine. You have to admire the work ethic and dedication of someone when asked "How long are you open today?" and the answer is "As long as there's work". I knew then this was the place I wanted working on my vehicle. I suspected a fuel pump issue. Ryan came and towed the car (~15 miles from his location), diagnosed the issue (not fuel pump but crank sensor), and had it fixed and ready for me to pick up all in less than 3 hours. Communication throughout was excellent. The only place I'll call going forward when I have issues with vehicles in this area.

I lost my AC and starter on my 6.0L Diesel F350 while on a family road trip in August. Tom was able to get my truck back up and running with cold AC and a new starter very quickly so I wasn't without a vehicle for too long. The staff was pleasant to deal with and the pricing was fair and reasonable. Thank you for getting me back on the road quickly!

By far the best mechanic shop in the area. I needed some major issues fixed on my car, Ryan and his team jumped right on it and were able to pin point what was causing the problems with in short period of time.It's really hard to find honest mechanic that's not out to screw you over, but I can honestly say this was most pleasant experience I ever had dealing with mechanics and car issuesThank you East Coast Auto & DieselTruly amazing shop would recommend this place to anyone in need of any car needs.

Sean and his staff went FAR AND ABOVE what could be expected today! Driving a friend's diesel dump truck this AM, and in a tight timeline for my business, the 'ole girl decided she was going to shed her serpentine belt on 17 in front of Mulligan's. Got her pulled over into Cypress Village and started the phone calls. As the Lord does, Sean just happened to be driving by and noticed the truck from prior service, disabled. Ironically as I am setting up towing, he pulls over and evaluates, and on his time, goes and obtains a new belt from his shop. Returning EXTREMELY promptly, gets her running again, only to find yet another issue, tension pulley... Sean at this point calls his wife, who runs the joint, LOL, and gets the part at Advanced in a rapidly expedited timeframe and out he goes and is back in 10. As he repairs this issue, mind you once again, ROADSIDE, we have a great conversation that made me feel like we have known each other for years. "Start the engine" he says, and low and behold, off to the races we go to conquer the world! Cannot say enough about the professionalism and great new friendship that I have experienced today! I am Native to North Myrtle Beach and we need a WHOLE bunch of you'zz! Fagetaboutit! All joking aside, UNBELIEVABLE experience and I will recommend you to ALL of my clients!! Thanks Man! I recently took my dodge 3500 in for diagnostics and repair. The price was very fair, and they're knowledge about diesels far exceeded every shop that I've been to in the myrtle beach area. If I would have went to the dealership I would have spent $6000 more. Thank you Sean and Tom at East Coast Auto and Diesel Repair. You will have all of my business moving forward.

Our truck would not start, and being out of towners we did not know any mechanics. We were given Ryan's number and within 20 minutes he was there to help us. He got our truck up and running!
