I needed to get some paint work done on my 2017 Mustang and was recommended to John s Restoration by Ford and I m glad I went here, they do excellent work, my car looks great! I sustained some damage to the driver's side of my 2019 F150 and after receiving several quotes for the repair, I decided to do it myself...BAD MOVE! A worker in the parts department of the local Ford dealership suggested that I try John's Restorations. WOW! JACKPOT! BINGO! The work provided by Johns Restorations on my 2015 C7 Corvette was amazing. They repaired a bad scratch and some scrapes from a previous owner and you'd never know it's ever been in the shop. I can't speak highly enough of the work that was done. I'm pretty picky when it comes to repair work and they definitely surpassed all my expectations and have a customer for life here. I wish I could give a good review. I dropped my brand new car off for a week to have a scratch fixed on the front. When I got the car back there were a few spots that were either fish eyes or debris. I was told to drop off the car for one day and it could be fixed. I dropped the car off. The car was there for half of a day. I was called and told they were not happy with the outcome and that I could either take the car and get half my money back or leave it for another 3 to 4 days and have it redone with no discount. I am so upset over this. We ended up taking the car and half the money. I now have to take my car somewhere else and spend more time and money to get my car fixed.

Taking away a very bad start-- being aggressively (and unapologetically) "greeted" by the dog each time, not being allowed to see the technician I had been on the phone with already (was referred to him), having my car sit 5 days before being taken in for service, and what I will simply call getting off on the wrong foot with the office manager when I asked too many questions (which at the time I took blame for, as I was paying for the rental and most of the repairs out of pocket so I probably had more questions/urgency than usual) which resulted in being told I could not contact her or I would have to take my car elsewhere -------I probably would have chalked all that off as a bad start and might not be writing this review, but it got worse.I was initially quoted ~$1,000 as my portion, and insurance was expected to pick up the rest. When I picked up the car however, it was $550 more than the quote. When I asked why, office manager said the insurance wouldn't cover the additional items we expected them to (not to mention I was never contacted for approval on the new amount). She said she sent pictures, etc. and that the adjuster said it was on the wrong side of the car, not a part of the accident. We then discussed one last part I personally wanted to have fixed that I knew wasn't part of the accident, and she said they didn't do it because I said I didn't want it. That was not true- I did want it done and never said otherwise. I wasn't even allowed to talk to her- when could I have canceled it?At this point I just wanted my car back, so I said ok and paid. It had been almost 3 weeks renting a car for what was supposedly some nuts, bolts and covers- missing parts from a previous bad repair, no body work-- and I just wanted it over!HOWEVER-- as I started thinking about the declined repairs and having worked with the adjustor in the past, it didn't make sense that he denied this $550 repair so I sent him the invoice. He called me the next day and told me aside from her initial call about procedure, he never got any additional claims, pictures, etc. from the body shop. He then told me that Allstate would cover the $550 and he had also gone line by line, and they would cover almost everything else on the invoice I sent, ALL of which she told me had already been paid on the first claim and couldn't be submitted (remember this was a repair of a repair). I am ecstatic to get so much more than I expected back, but I am speechless at this experience. If I hadn't questioned the logic and contacted Allstate myself, I would have been out a lot of money needlessly. I've dealt with incompetence but rarely has someone flat out lied to me. It doesn't even make sense.I was willing to take my share of blame before, but now I look back and realize at every step the way I was treated was unprofessional, contradictory and confusing (which created so many of my questions), prickly and now unethical.I have no idea about the caliber of work that was done. I suspect it is good because of my referral and the very kind service tech, Phil, that I spoke to in the beginning, but of course I would never go back or refer them to anyone because of this experience.

I discovered John's after Crossroads Ford sent my vehicle to them to repair peeling paint around the windshield. The repairs were perfect and my vehicle returned to me with the interior cleaner than the day I bought the car. I had another job that I offered them before shopping the national auto body chains and they gave me a clear, concise, and fair price. The new front grille was installed and it looks great! So I was rear ended august 2, 2022, after having my truck for a month I dropped my truck off August 3, 2022 to John s and I just got it back September 15, 2022 (NOT JOHNS FAULT) and I have to say the work they did was fantastic my truck looks brand new, as if the accident never happened. Terri is absolutely amazing and made sure that I was kept in the loop throughout this ordeal l. I definitely recommend this shop for all your repair needs.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

John's Restorations was recommended to me by my mechanic because I needed a non-cosmetic fix so I could open my passenger door. I went in for an estimate, and to my surprise, they were able to fix it right then and there! It only took about 20 minutes, and I am now able to open my passenger door. They now have a customer for life! They were kind, honest and extremely easy to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I just got my FJ Cruiser back and it looks fantastic! John and team did a great job on fixing some paint issues on the hood, driver door and rear door and it all looks great. Terri did a great job keeping me informed of the status of the job and the pricing was very fair. This is the 2nd car they have worked on for us and I would highly recommend them!Service: Painting

Terri Reidy and her staff provided my company with top notch service recently. My out of town fleet truck needed some work done to the front bumper. Terri was able to locate a hard to find part, get it ordered and have our truck repaired while keeping us updated promptly. It was a pleasure and a blessing to work with John s Restorations. They will be my first choice for body work in the future. Thanks the great experience!

Had a friend who came here to get work done on a Golf R. For one the car wasn't given a time frame on when it would be finished. About a month goes by and they finally start buttoning it back together but completely ignored a busted coolant hose, leaving my friend to drive to work finally excited to have his car back, only for it to run out of coolant and be undriveable. The coolant hose that busted is on back order for 2 weeks, just adding more time for him to not have a car, being stuck with a rental having to pay out of pocket because John's Restorations is slow, and doesn't know how to communicate correctly with the customer nor the insurance companies. Let me save you some time from going to this place.Service: Body & Trim

Great small-town company. They gave an accurate quote, finished in a decent time, and did great work. Furthermore, they were much more affordable than several "big name" businesses that I contacted.

I had a great experience at John's Restorations! John and his staff were very nice and professional. They took their time with me and extra care with my car. I felt like a very valued customer even though it was my first time there. I will definitely be back for any future body work needs. Highly recommend!!!!

I was referred by Chrysler dealership in Cary. Fixed corrosion on hood and painted it. They did the work quickly. Color matches great. There's one super small imperfection that I'm sure I'll never notice again. I did have to call and ask if my car was ready, but all in all a good experience.

The secretary had an attitude when I went to go pick up my car after she said it was ready, only to then tell me that a part for my car was on back Order after I already drove to pick it up. Not a very well put together place at all.

Spent 20 minutes on day before we drove over there to explain what we wanted done and next day drove the hour only to have the woman tell us it basically wasn't worth their time and sent us to someone else. What a waste of time.
