I've had poor experience buying batteries from Advance Auto Parts. One time the battery was defective due to being dropped or something. Another time I found that their battery check up is unreliable. Basically I ended up on a wild goose chase thinking something else was defective in the starting system. A free battery test at Firestone Auto Care confirmed the bad battery, but Advance Auto refused warranty replacement because the battery was fine, according to their bogus test.

As I was 8 hours from home, Parker C was able to honor the warranty on my battery in a defective exchange. A stressful time made a lot more bearable by a great employee.

Had a set up issue (user error (me)) with an electronic accessory I had purchased at this store. After returning to the store, Erica had it up and working in no time and was great in figuring it out. Thank you

I had such a pleasant experience at this location. Kai was the employee who helped us. He greeted us with a big smile and was extremely helpful. You don t find many people in the service industry nowadays that are willing to help. I will definitely be coming back and asking for Kai. I hope that advanced auto realized how lucky they are to have such a phenomenal employee!

5 stars for the manager on duty Erica, I had placed an order over the phone thru customer service and they actually sent the wrong part. I was under stress and anxiety because my radiator was leaking as is. Ericka went above and beyond and took the wrong shipment order from me and still had 1 in stock and swapped it out. This is by far the best management experience I ve ever experienced. Thank you Erica for your exceptional service! Great location, extraordinary management

I ve visited this location many times throughout my 20 years here in Apex, and I can t say I ever remember having a single negative experience. One team member that stands out and is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with questions and assistance is Caleb. He s super nice and knows his stuff. Thank you for always being great to work with!

Horrible service. Lady checks me out and confirmed two unused oil filter wrenches were returnable. I bring it back UNUSED and the new kid tells me system rejected my return. Don't shop here cause one cashier to the next they change their story.Update: customer service refunded the money and I returned to store unused parts

They always have great customer service, they are always very knowledgeable or willing to look up the right information for you. They strive to give you the best customer experience. I'm so glad that I've had this place for years for my auto needs. A great addition to the Apex area.

I want to give a BIG shout out to the 2 gentleman who were working the store at closing on Tues., 8/9, think one was named Henry?. At any rate, they went ABOVE and BEYOND to help my daughter with a newfound missing air filter on her Honda Fit, it has an off-market air intake system on it and the filter had fallen off, not sure how long ago! She was visiting from the mountains and had to drive 5 hours the following day. Ironically, we had had the oil changed at a local shop earlier that day and they noted the missing air filter in the text message report sent later, but DID NOT tell us when we picked the car up. When we realized it, we jumped in the car and headed to Advance (8:30pm). These 2 workers worked hard trying to find a filter that would accommodate us, checking their inventory, trying some but to no avail b/c it is a special size. We had the beat up old one, which we had found down inside the axle area and 'Henry' got us a clamp and, with a flashlight, secured it back on until she could order a new one. They were super friendly and professional and definitely went the extra mile to help 2 ladies at store closing!! Thank you so much!!!

This was my first time coming to this Location to pick up my UPS delivery and the employee on the front desk was so Rude her name was Rochel. My packet was delivered at the alternate location of UPS which was the advance auto parts and I went and asked for my packet and she was so rude in replying that the packet was there and I had to come back to pick it up. I had asked her to be polite and told her there is no reason for her to be rude with the customers if she do not like her job maybe she needs to do something else. Staff are not wearing mask inside the store as well.

Wildly knowledgeable and nice guy at the counter tonight. Came in with a very specific need that was more cleaner related than car part related. Instead of trying to sell some item that wasn't quite it, he proceeded to give me a VERY helpful alternative for a nearby store that specifically dealt with cleaners. I'll be back.

Excellent service every time that I've been there. Quick and easy. No attitudes at all. Everyone there has always been pleasant to me whether I go there to ask for a free diagnostic, or buy a simple item or buy an expensive item. They give very good input, and will help install simple things on your car ( e.g. wiper bleeds, etc) if you need the help. These guys are really great. I've been going there since I've been in Apex. So if you need something, feel free to stop by.

I've been coming to this location for a few years and have never been particularly impressed. However, today was the final straw. I came in around 3:45-4 pm (June 5th, 2021,) and at least 6 employees were working. I was standing at the front counter for a few minutes, and three of them walked past, one even looking at me directly in the eyes. Instead of offering to help, they went to the back (in the view of customers) and starting having a gossip circle about other employees. I waited over 5 minutes and walked right out of the store. I saw another customer walkout as well when I was driving off. Advance Auto Parts is garbage. Their prices are higher than any other auto parts store I've seen (Autozone & O'Reilly), and their customer service is horrific. This isn't just one store either about 2 years ago an associate tried to accuse me of stealing at a different Advance store in Cary. The sad part is that this is right by my house. I will never shop at an Advance store again, and I highly advise anybody else who values their time or money to never shop at Advance.

Store had one other customer... Two employees... and me. No one asked if they could help me...or even acknowledged my presence... Was apparently out of one of the items I needed (and had to find in the store myself... :-/ )... When I inquired (after waiting 2 minutes standing right in front of the counter till the employee decided he could be bothered helping me) he didn't offer to look in the back for more, offer a replacement suggestion... or even a rain check on an order. He just shrugged and said "We're obviously out of those then." and went back to his computer terminal (don't know what was more important than helping at that point the ONE SINGLE IN PERSON CUSTOMER he had in the store ?????).... Left, went up the street to Walmart (which I HATE to even step inside of...) and got what I needed for half the price. Thanks for absolutely nothing!!!! ..... One star?? You guys don't even deserve that.

I was really disappointed going to the store this afternoon. While Tristan was very helpful today, A man named Justin was standing right at the front door smoking a cigarette. The whole store suddenly smelled of cigarette smoke. When he came in he didn t even wear a mask. I also noticed that a number of patrons were not wearing masks. I decided to leave not feeling like safety precautions were even a consideration.

i came to return a part, and the guy said he could return. i used my debit card to pay for the party, but unfortunately lost it. So i asked if i could have it in cash form SINCE I USED A DEBIT CARD! he apparently was the manager. definitely didn t act like it . so i definitely won t be coming back. he insisted that s how they do things here. But i called a different store and they said they would return it since i have my receipt and i paid with a DEBIT CARD ! this was just another employee who obviously didn t know how to handle a return .

Came in needed help with my battery the store manager JUSTIN said sure and asked me to wait for them at car so I did, after waiting for 15 minutes he help every other person who came in after that was white, and then told me I had to wait my turn even though I was here first. I am a an African American had to nerve to tell me that I wasn't priority. Then refused to give me the district Managers number.

Very disappointed with the store manager. We needed to return a defective ignition coil which was purchased at another advance Auto Parts store. The staff wasted some 45 minutes processing the refund. At the end I was told by the manger that all they could do is replace it with a new one.Since the one old was a defective part and I had to pay labor again to install it the second time, the last thing I wanted to do is buy another one from the same manufacturer!Any how, next time we will take our business elsewhere, that is all I can do as a consumer!

The staff was very helpful in explaining all the options I had for what I need for my car, I actually learned a few things. They also helped me install my new, silicone, windshield wipers, which by the way, are the best windshield wipers I've ever had. Will be going back.

Needed to check a battery and alternator. Both ended up being bad. Luckily battery was under warranty from 2 years ago so was able to pull it up on my phone and get a free replacement. Although online sales and in store sales still aren't linked. Quick and convenient service.

Scottie was super helpful in helping me find the parts I needed for my car. He even helped to replace my rear wiper blade to made sure it was the correct fit!
