I cannot recommend Curtis enough! I was on a solo adventure (all the way from Florida) when my Jeep started overheating! He was amazing! He took so much of his own time to help this crazy lady out! I was absolutely blown away by his willingness to help me and get me back to my adventures. He called some local shops and when they all said they were booked up, he helped me with a temp fix, including taking a part from his own vehicle. I was able to get the part for $20 bucks in the next town! He saved me hundreds in repair costs as well as lodging for however long my vehicle was in for repairs! I was back on the road in a few hours and was able to finish out one epic adventure! I am so grateful there are still great people out there!Service: Car towing

Curtis was an absolute pleasure to meet and his towing service was professional and fast. Our car was stuck on the ledge of a steep gravel hill and he moved us out like he could do it in his sleep. He arrived very quickly to help us within 30 minutes of calling which was so helpful considering it was dark & snowing. Curtis is an amazing owner!!! Called him in the morning when my Harley wouldn't run right. Thought it was bad gas, he came to my hotel with fuel and helped pull gas from the tank to check it for water and put replacement fuel back in. We didn't drain it all and so when this didn't work he went to the gas station bought more gas and a bottle of Heet. This still didn't work and so he called the motorcycle mechanics to come up with ideas. When this still didn't work he went back got a trailer and hauled the bike to the shop, 30 minutes away. After he dropped the bike off he stopped and picked up the pizza my wife and I ordered because we had no way to get anywhere.The world needs more people like this guy!! Curtis, you said this is what bikers do and you're right, however, if people treated each other like this all the time this world would be a much better place!!!Keep the shiney side up brother!!!Service: Motorcycle towing

My father in law who is very near and dear to our hearts passed away in 2017 leaving behind a wife and grown kids. He had a very special car which he loved. Unfortunately the car was wrecked and totaled but the towing company that brought it to our home just dumped it and left. I called Independent Towing Company to come and move the car and place it into a more convenient place on our land. Curtis showed up early and with a smile. He was prepared and ready to move the car and was very informative of what he was doing and made sure that his work was done professionally. Curtis was wonderful and I would recommend to anyone. His prices were very affordable and his work was great.

Im from GA and my car died off of a mountain road. I hitchhiked to Andrews and called Curtis. He offered to swing into town to pick me up AND then pick up my car. He also offered to keep my car overnight until i could move it back home. He let me stay on his property and fed me and called places to see if they had dolly rentals. Incredible people and incredible service!

What an event. A most unique and thankful experience. This was more of a chase-vehicle scenario. Here's the story: I had departed home in the AM to have my vehicle's alternator serviced. Made it about 1/2 mile from my house before the vehicle just shut down (difficult to operate on just a battery). Went to a neighbor's and asked if he knew a tow truck operator. He called Curtis (AITR) who showed up about 15 minutes later.Curtis asked a few questions then determined he would not tow the vehicle because it is AWD. It is important to note that he was not incapable, he was concerned about potential damage to the drivetrain regardless if it was slow towed as the vehicle's owners manual stated (very appreciative of this).Instead he suggested I could wait 2-hours for a flat-bed OR he could charge the battery and then let's see. After topping off the battery I took off, made it about 2-miles before pulling off to the side of the road...the battery was dead. Curtis charged the battery. Again, I took off, made it about 2-miles. He charged the vehicle one last time, enough to make it to the shop. He had basically followed me all the way to the destination. Afterwards he gave me a ride back to my "neighborhood."Most make it a point to avoid being towed (nobody likes being stranded) but can say WITHOUT A DOUBT I would recommend and use Curtis' service again if the need were to arise. Happy to have met him and definitely glad he didn't pawn me off to another. He's a dedicated operator/owner, always evaluating the situation for the best solutions.Customers care about cost and the tow service is very low IMO. That did not matter at the time and I was never told if the cost had gone up due to the circumstances, there was actually no discussion at all except upon his arrival. All in, I think the service time was about 3 hours round-trip.If you need towing/recovery services American Independent Towing and Recovery should be your first call. They actually recovered a stuck UPS truck from my driveway a month or so ago.Curtis: Thank you for your assistance and conversations. Was traveling out of town when we broke down in Andrews with no service and had to walk 3 miles to a Hardee's. Curtis picked us up within 15 minutes from the Hardee's and we went with him to get our car loaded on the tow truck. He towed it back to the hotel and drove it around the block to try and identify the problem. He was kind, friendly and extremely helpful. He even called me the next morning to tell me he'd found the necessary part available at the nearest Ford dealership and offered to take us to Murphy to pick up a rental car. Curtis really went out of his way to help us when we were stranded and was very affordable with his service.

My son was stranded in the mountains, Curtis responded super quickly and was very honest.. He went above and beyond by fixing the vehicle and also called me to let me know the status of the situation. I would give him 6 stars if I could. He is highly recommended!

More than grateful for curtis' assistance we were stuck in the snow on the mountain he arrived within 40 minutes, helped get us back to our air bnb and brought us fresh groceries from his own home because we weren't able to get out! Defiantly would recommend him to anybody in need!

You won t find a more professional, customer-service oriented tow truck driver than Curt. He helped tow a friend s car that became stuck over Labor Day weekend. It was a very challenging removal because of the location, but Curt persevered with a friendly smile until the job was done, despite it taking much longer than anticipated. I would highly recommend utilizing his services when in need.Service: Car towing

Very very rude, was no help, and he tried to give me false information regarding the Covid vaccine. He was definitely price gouging, finally me and my husband decided not to even acknowledge his calls. We found another driver that was a blessing.

The owner is a great guy. I have had to call three times. The first time I called he had to hook a computer to my truck the second time I called the diagnosed a problem with one of my sensors and the third time I had to call he came out for a simple jump start. He shows up in record time. I would recommend him to anyone. He is the one to call no matter what you need

Rudest man I've ever encountered!! He cursed me out on a public road as I was picking up my child from school because he thought he owned the road. He even acted like he was law enforcement or something. I would never recommend someone with a mouth like that EVER.

Showed up on time. Very professional. Went out of his way to help me out as this was my only vehicle that was being towed. Will use them for all my towing needs and highly recommend them. Very reasonable prices even on memorial day!!!

The owner showed up early, was far cheaper than anyone else. Had positive control over the recovery, and was proficient and experienced. Even gave me a break because of damages already done before he was involved. Thanks again for all your help.
