James and his crew are the best. I trust them for all my vehicles needs. I have taken multiple vehicles to them over a year and a half since moving to the area and know they will do the job right the first time. I have never had an issue with them and will continue to go to them for all my vehicle needs.

I give them 5 stars. They do great work and they guarantee their work. I stumbled across them by accident. I was new in the area and my car quit and they were the closest to my house. So I called, they towed the vehicle in and repaired it. Very honest and doesn t try to half way fix what they work on and it s guaranteed. I have used them at least 6 times after the first.

A few weeks ago, we were traveling to a family wedding in Cary, N.C. Our car blew a water pump and radiator two hours outside of there. We were so fortunate to find Jim (Shore), owner of the Pitstop. He had our car towed to his shop and had it fixed the same day! The workmanship was fantastic and the price reasonable. Thanks for saving us, Jim!Service: Auto water leak repair

I was put in a pretty bad spot by a dealer who was less than transparent with me.. long story short I bought a C7 Z06 and the next day the motor blew up... James and the guys at Pitstop Performance got the motor out of the Z06 and a brand new built 416 in the car in just a few months. Couldn't be happier and will be recommendeding anyone I can to this shop!

The Pitstop Performance Shop is an excellent shoo for preformance and daily vehicles. James has worked on my 2010 Corvette several times as well as my 2014 Chevy 3500 Duramax. Passing through the area and had Jeep issues on a Saturday afternoon. Mechanic working that day said he was backed up and couldn t get me in, but gave me some good ideas and helped me get the Jeep back up and going. This business has very honest and trustworthy people working there. I would recommend this place to everyone I. The area.Thank you for the help and your knowledge.

update to your reply of "SIR YOUR FUEL PUMP WAS FAULTY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT HOLD FUEL PRESSURE WHEN U SHUT OFF THE IGNITION I HAD MY MECHANIC FIGURING OUT YOUR PROBLEM AND YOUR OTHER PROBLEM IS FUEL INJECTORS ARE GETTING INTERMITTENT SIGNAL FROM PROCESSOR. HE WAS WORKING TO FINISH YOUR REPAIRS WHEN U DECIDED TO PICK IT UP AND TAKE IT ELSEWHERE. YOU WERE ONLY CHARGED FOR A PUMP INSTALLED NO ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTIC TIME WAS BILLED TO YOUR CAR FOR THIS OTHER ISSUE." you obviously don't understand the Taurus fuel pump driver it controls the fuel that is distributed through the rail. You tried hard to tell me it was part of the PCM, it is downline but separate and feeds off the shutoff valve. I did not expect to pay you to learn on my car. You installed a pump that was not needed because the driver replacement will cure the symptoms. yes me stopping you was the right thing your experience on them must be zero. Everything I said was accurate and everything you said so far is inaccurate. You did not even test the driver, that is unforgivable!Was told my 2005 Taurus needed a fuel pump. 800$. Paid. Drove it home. Exact same problem. Then they wanted to replace the PCM. The mechanic spent a lot of time looking around, guessing. I said stop. I need my car I am going to get a second opinion. I did. They replaced the wrong part. It was the fuel pump driver. Mine is still glued under the mat so they that controls every aspect of the pump and they never touched it or mentioned it. I went to see the owner today and told him about it. He said he would not correct it. I just asked for him to make it right. "I am not going to work on it for free" I said I paid you to fix the problem and you replaced the wrong item. Since you made it clear you did not want to make it right I will ask for help. He asked who you going ask for help. The court. I left. Just recalled I charged half of it. They were nice until I called their hand. They would have milked me dry if I had not said stop, they actually got me good anyway. My fault for not getting old pump

I needed my alternator and battery replaced and they squeezed me in their schedule, towed my truck from my driveway and did the work all the same day for a very reasonable price! I have a positive experience every time I visit The Pitstop Performance Shop. I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger and I had some headers put on for me by The Pitstop. My car sounds great now and I have experienced no issues with the install. Right now The Pitstop is working on a Hemi rebuild for me. They are in the process of taking a 5.7L Hemi and building it to a 426. I am looking forward to the completion of this project late this year. I take my Challenger to The Pitstop any time it needs service. I have had tires replaced, brakes replaced, high performance exhaust installed, wheel alignment, and body work done at The Pitstop.Their knowledge of cars and their quality of work are both outstanding and excellent.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I took my truck to get an estimate on a rear main seal and sealing other oil leaks. 2 days later he called me to say he did not think the rear main seal was leaking. Upsaled me on a new manifold and a 4 barrel carburetor from a local dealer, told me about t would be done in one week. Then a couple days later, had a bad water pump and distributor. Gave the go ahead to repair. Did not hear a word after 2 weeks. Had to go over several times to check on the progress. After over a month he called me to tell me it was ready. While I was in his office he was paying people with cash off the street. I payed he to get my truck back . When I pulled out it lost power. When I looked under the hood the spark plug wires were braided and laying on the manifold. The rear main seal was leaking. I had stuff missing from my truck. This is the worse experience I have ever had. I talked to he day s later and he said he did not have enough help. I will not take anything back to him even if it is under warranty. My fear is he will charge more money for the work he has already done.

Thy quoted me a reasonable price, and when I went to pick up the van, he said it didn't take him as long as the book said, WOW, that never happens, and it was $200.00 cheaper! Great job!
