I ve take several of my vehicles to Cox Automotive for years now. I ve always gotten good service at a fair price. The main reason I go there is trust. I used to do my own work but I m no longer able to take on big jobs. I ve never found Cox to try to do work I didn t need just to maximize profits. It s a relief to be able to take your car to an honest shop for repairs and not have to worry about being screwed over.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Auto A/C replacement

I wasn t going to post anything but maybe it will help someone else like me, that uses google reviews to find places.On 7/31, I needed a state inspection so I searched the nearest place with the best reviews on google and this was the first place that popped up for me but MY experience here was not the best.It started off bad from the beginning because the only person there, an older gentleman, ignored me when I arrived. Then when I tried to get his attention by saying, excuse me got no acknowledgement but thought maybe he didn t hear me so I said sir? He then held up a finger in a wait gesture without saying a word. Then proceeded to keep me waiting at the garage entrance for almost 10 minutes before finally waving me inside.I should have turned away and left long before then but I really needed that inspection done and I didn t want to be rude and just leave. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and figured he was just really busy or something. Even though from where I was standing it seemed like he was just staring at his computer or his Netflix series, couldn t tell which since the screens were in the same general direction. Still he could have had the decency to use his words and say, please give me a moment or we re closed anything.Anyway, when he finally acknowledged my existence I mentioned I needed an inspection and he sort of had an ugh attitude towards me like I was such a bother to him. He asked If I had my registration and I said yes, then he asked if I knew the mileage and engine size. (Never been asked that at other inspection places back where I used to live but ok) I said, I can look it up, my car s outside.He then had me go back outside to get the mileage and engine size of my vehicle for him, then when I came inside he was on the phone and kept me waiting some more. At this point I got the feeling he just didn t want me there but again, I really needed that inspection and I had already wasted all this time here.When he finally hung up, I mentioned the signal light would need to be replaced he said something like oh then I can t do the inspection and told me I d have to get that fixed and THEN he would be able to do the inspection. I m thinking, are you kidding me? All other places I ve ever been to always replace it on the spot, so I asked him politely, you can t change it here? He then said something like I could but I m busy and have to work on other cars at that point it was clear to me he just didn t want MY business so I said, ok thanks, turned around and left, I was beating myself up for not leaving sooner. Needless to say I will not ever be back to this place where I was made to feel so unwelcome.Luckily, I saw a small establishment, Douthit Automotive, on my way back and the gentleman there stopped what he was doing as soon as I parked. He got my inspection done, didn t ask me anything just got it done replaced the bulbs that needed replacing and I was on my way.

I just had my truck worked on at Cox Automotive and couldn't be happier with the service, honesty and professionalism that Clay performed. I drove the truck for a while with it's existing problem for quite a while as the first shop I had it in quoted me over a thousand dollars to fix the issue. I brought the truck into Cox's and Clay ended up doing the job for less than half of that, including an oil change and NC inspection! I've found an excellent service facility in Cox Automotive. They are in a convenient location for us and I trust them to do quality work on my Dodge.
