I've bought car parts and other items such as batteries at Walmart for many years. A friend was having car problems so I tested her battery and found that it was defective. I tried to charge it and my prognosis was correct -- bad battery. So I drove over to Wal-mart and swapped out the battery for a replacement as I have done dozens of times over the past several decades. However, in this case the new battery turned out to be defective. After I installed it in the vehicle the battery would not crank or start the car. I tested the battery and it held zero charge and the diagnostic tool indicated the battery was unable to be charged. I verified this quickly by attempting to charge the battery. No go. So I took the battery back to Walmart where they stated that they couldn't swap the battery out; rather, it would need to be charged to verify that the battery was bad. THIS TOOK THEM OVER FIVE HOURS AND I HAD TO WAIT THERE. This is terrible service -- if you need to return an article of clothing at the store, you simply swap it out no problem. It's the same with batteries at other stores. I even have the diagnostic tools to verify that a battery is bad but apparently this store doesn't. They also do this strange thing where you can enter the automotive area from the outside but they won't let you exit. That meant that I had to carry a defective battery, dripping acid, several hundred yards, through the store and into the parking lot and around the building. This was dangerous in and of itself! After hours of waiting, they gave me a new battery and I was on my way. My friend had to missa half day of work for no good reason -- if I could have swapped the battery, she'd have been on her way. I don't understand this level of poor service. During all of this there did not appear to be a service manager present. This was honestly the worst experience I've had at a Walmart Auto Care Center in decades.Service: Auto battery replacement

*** DO NOT COME HERE !!! *** my sister got both her Toyota Venza and Honda Pilot oil changed before her road trip to NY. When she arrived both cars shut down and had no oil. I Looked under the hood and it appeared that they never twisted the oil cap back, ON BOTH CARS!!! Thank god the engine go while her kids were in the car.

Do not come here! I had came In for an oil change on a Thursday and they had a two hour wait, so I made an appointment on Friday at 6. I showed up on time and was told they didn t have enough staff due to letting them leave. No one called me to inform me that they had to cancel all the afternoon appointments!!! Not professional at all!

Came in for the value of their oil change prices. Well now I ve had 2 vehicles that have since been serviced here and both have had significant oil leaks on the drain plug and oil filter from improper servicing. I had to take both to their respective dealerships for follow on inspection and service, where it was identified on both vehicles at different dealerships that the oil plugs were not torqued to specifications (over tight), improper plug gasket or thread seals, both oil filters were over tightened causing the o rings to fail and leak.Keep in mind this is 2 separate vehicles, separate makes and separate dealerships making the same observation on oil change services done by this Walmart. I ll save the trouble and go elsewhere in the future, it will cost you more in the long run to leave it to them.

I sure was glad that Employees were working and they actually had the battery I had to exchange. Minus one star for bad battery at one year old. I was out of my "Walmart" area but they did come through where "my Walmart" did not. Good quick service.

I bought Blackhawk Hiscend HT01 for Jeep. 10 years Ive been driving Goodyear tires thinking something was wrong with my Jeep. As soon as I pulled out with new tires the noise was gone. Unbelievable. Thanks to the people at Aberdeen location pulling out old stem valves and mounting new tires. The Jeep glides like Im riding in the clouds. Appreciate the work

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Just go somewhere else, this shop has been a headache and they are very unprofessional. I made the mistake that a simple tire install could be easily done here. I ordered four new tires for a Jeep Wrangler. Asked them to rotate one of the current wheels/tires onto the spare location and install the four new tires on the other three wheels, to include the old spare tire.Well they didn t do a single thing that I requested. They installed all four new tires on the Jeep without touching the spare old spare tire or rotating a old wheel to that location. I noticed this right away after paying, but they have already closed for the day. When I went back into the store to find a worker, they saw me but hid in the back warehouse for 15 mins while I knocked on the door looking for assistance. Finally one of the workers told me to come back the next day to get the spare tire taken care of. Came back the next day and I m told they can t install a used tire on a wheel. The day prior when we arrived, these guys were too busy joking and playing around to acknowledge a simple request, which originally didn t involve installing a used tire. I then took one of my previous used tires and left.Very next day I came home and noticed one of my new tires was completely flat. Come to find out, one of the valve stem cores wasn t installed correctly. Because of this experience, I will never bring any of my vehicles to this shop or a Walmart auto care center again.

Made an appointment for tire rotation and balance. Arrived 15 min early. They got it done in record time. When I went to leave, I couldn't find my locking lug nut tool and they had trouble locating it. But overall was a better experience than ever before.

I came for an oil change. Now I'm deciding if we'll go back to doing it on our own, out find another service center. I've been bringing my vehicles here for oil and lube for three years. However, this time I was not too happy. I was given a time-frame of 45 minutes, but it took over two hours. Also, I always have a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer added (which of course I purchase ahead). I also asked them to check for leaks underneath because I seen to be losing some oil and couldn't find any from the top. I want informed until after purchasing the Lucas and an hour into my wait time that they are no longer allowed to put additives; and no check for leaks was done, although they made it a point to note that the oil was low on my paperwork. When I finally got my vehicle back it was afternoon their closing hours and the section was closed up. I couldn't locate the service center personnel, so I had to go to customer service where they had front-end managers looking for my key and paperwork. After about 15-20 minutes someone from the service center brought my key up and dropped it off to customer service without saying anything.

Same experience as most, don t go without expecting to wait 3-4 hours due to an overloaded, understaffed, and probably poorly managed auto shop. Ive attempted to get service there three times. First experience arrived at 30 minutes after opening and had a 3 hour wait because there was only one mechanic. No thanks, bought my tires elsewhere. Second experience, over an hour til closing, one car in the shop with three mechanics. Sorry, we don t have enough time tonight come back tomorrow morning. Next morning, 5 minutes til opening, 3 cars already in line. I left after waiting 15 minutes past opening, by which time they had 6 cars in line and the shop doors hadn t even opened yet. That s the indicator of poor management. The inside staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone outside is not.

Arrived at 7:20a.m. doors were locked hours of operation 7a-7p. Called inside and phone attendant immediately explained several workers had not showed up for work. However he would be opening door soon. No call no show is cause for termination and should be the case at any place of business. There is no difference here they are in need of some technicians. As I sat in the waiting area they had a small skeleton crew already posted. I imagine one of those ole faithfuls on the wall pictures will soon be coming down. Service was good overall. But Walmart needs to assure service by hiring reliable people and having a backup plan. Other than lack of technicians the department was cluttered with stock. I was caged in with inventory all around me. There was no one courteous enough to move the carts from waiting area. Somethings are just common sense. But I have found out sense is not always common. Despite the slow start I was in and out in no time. I have trusted Walmart to tires, oil changes, batteries and flat repairs they have always did a good job.

Please stay away from this center for tire service. Today was my second visit to this auto care center for tire replacements. I left my house 0645 and got there 0708 on Saturday morning. They started checking in 0716 and completed the two tire replacements at 0951 ( received the key 1005). This time only took 3 hours and faster than the last visit (took 4 hour and 30 minutes...). There was only one car ahead of me. Why did I came back to this place? Because I thought the last visit was due to inexperienced staff. Now I can clearly see such bad services due to negligent management. Also, I hope that this is not one of Walmart tactics makes the customer wait longer and spend more money inside the store.Either way, do not go there for tire service unless you want to waste your weekend under frustration.Dear Walmart HQs or regional supervisor or senior customer manger, please contact me if you happen to read this review or you seriously care about quality customer service.I hope this is the isolated problem only here Walmart Auto Center at Aberdeen.Sincerely,Loyal Walmart Customer

I went there for oil change and tire rotation. Told me the wait would be 1hr 45 min. There were only 2 cars ahead of me. Ends up taking about 2hr 30 min. They told me they couldn t rotate the tires. When I get home one of my tires is flat. Not just a little flat but very. I ve never had flat tires on this vehicle previously. Not sure what they were doing or how it ended up that way.

I was sold two new tires when I needed only one because I was told I needed two because of the speed rating and having different tires.... two months later come to rotate and find out they can t be rotated because they aren t the same tire as the other two I had. After going back and forth and telling me I had to order two MORE tires to fit the car Matt finally stepped in and ordered me the correct tires and they would be delivered within two days. 28 days later I m getting my tires on and got lucky enough to set up an appointment. I have been in the waiting area for 2 hours and counting to get two tires put on. There was no wait when I arrived either. When asking when my car will be done I got it ain t ready . I am a very patient person and understand but going back and forth for the last two months has really worked my nerves. I will not be back.

Would not install my set of tires even though I called ahead, coordinated, and I arrived 20 minutes early. Associate said they had switched to appointments only. I explained I called ahead. No, they were not busy.

Took 4 hours to get 3 new tires put on. There is a very small waiting area and it is hot in that area. Plus everyone else had been waiting 4 hours also. I would put -stars. Never will use that department again.

Came in with a flat tire, needed it plugged. I had put on a spare and put the flat in the rear compartment to get to the service location. I clearly showed the attendant the flat, we took it out and looked it over. He said it d be ten minutes. 2 hours later the cashier tells me they checked the spare and nothing was wrong with it. They neglected to ACTUALLY CHECK OR FIX THE FLAT TIRE IN THE BACK. No apologies from the staff at all, just excuses. Will never go back.

I would give them a zero star if it would let me.I ve been to the auto center three times, once because I literally had a no other Choi at the time. The service is always horrible. It s like trying to talk Eeyore. Are they even certified???I m just confused as how no one knew pricing, no one could tell me if there were more items in stock, and to top it off tried selling me a new tire with a bubble in it????Please Walmart, find better workers that actually care about the quality of their work.

Came for a simple oil change. Was put in line behind a few other cars. No big deal. 2.5 hours later I am being told they cannot change my oil due to not having the right tools required. I ve been sitting and wasting my time for a service that isn t getting done and now I am forced to go find another shop and spend more time waiting. Unbelievable. Reading some of the reviews from this location and they are all on par. Do not come here or give them any business. Ridiculous

It has been 2 hours since I am waiting for my car for simple oil change. Service itself was okay. Cold coffee in the waiting area, so stay away from it!! I would avoid these guys. Any weekday morning hours are okay but weekends are worst.

I called multiple times to check stock and make appointment. Same experience on every call, no one in automotive center ever answered the phone. My call would re-route back to customer service after so many rings. The same lady would answer and transfer me back to Auto over and over and over. I gave up and went somewhere else.

Right at a THREE hour wait for an oil change and tire rotation. The assistant manager was apologetic, and said that it was first come, first serve. I mentioned there had been a customer that came in 10 minutes after I did and was done in about an hour and a half.To add insult to injury, the skid pan was left loose on my vehicle.
