I would highly recommend Manhattan Auto Care! They provide excellent professional service. My car looks like it was detailed and picked up with excellent communication.This is a professional, courteous, trustworthy and honest shop. I would not hesitate to refer the closest family to.

Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good man, once you get them, you better lock on. Unfortunately I can't put a ring on Manhattan Auto Care but I can be a loyal customer (Which I intend to do). The service for my car was great but the customer service from Richard and his team were beyond words. My car was involved in a hit and run which caused a busted tail light, that was covered by my insurance. Not only did my car look as good as new, their mechanic caught other issues and quoted me a great price to fix! Everytime I look at my bank account and see how much money I saved I can't help but drop it like it's hot, and because I saved so much I can afford a chiropractor so I can pick it back up. After one visit I am hooked and I know I have found my new car repair shop for life. Thank you Manhattan Auto Care!

My insurance company made an appointment at this auto shop for an inspection of my vehicle, which was involved in a hit-and-run.When I entered the shop and said I had a 130pm the guy behind the counter looked at the clock and thenl looked at me like I was an idiot. He very rudely just told me to talk to his assistant. Then he started pointing outside asking if that was my vehicle. I said no and that my vehicle was in his garage. He then got visibly angry and told me he was looking at a mirror in the garage. How was I supposed to know he was looking in a mirror?He then started acting like he was an Army drill instructor and was bossing me around about how I needed to pull my vehicle outside. I kindly obliged despite his incredible rudeness.He came outside and started taking pictures. I asked if he would be able to physically inspect the vehicle and he said no. A physical inspection was necessary because of how the accident occurred. He told me he would not do that, so I told him I was leaving.He then left this cute little message on my claim with the insurer:THE CUSTOMER WAS BELLIGERENT HE WANTED TO START A FIGHT AN ALTERCATION WHEN HE CAMEIN ,HE WAS USING FOUL LANGUAGE AND BEING OUT RIGHT INDIGNANT HE TRIED TO HIT ME WITH HISTRUCK WHEN HE DROVE OFF HE DID NOT ALLOW US TO FINISH HIS INSPECTIONFirst off, stop being a child, sir, and learn how to use lower case letters and punctuation. Second, all of this is a lie. I wanted to start a fight? What an idiot. I never made any threatening language or actions, and I certainly didn't try to hit him with my vehicle. Third, you weren't doing the inspection my insurer hired you to do, so why would I let you finish it?It's pretty clear to me this guy is just full of anger and looking to take it out on someone. He was rude from the moment I entered his office and made zero attempts to actually be cordial or helpful.

Excellent body shop, the owner Richard and team do great work. This is the second time they have repaired dents in my car, each time it looked like it was new. Painting was flawless. Richard provides provides on the spot, accurate and clear estimates - no surprises after the fact. The returned the car washed and cleaner than it was when it went in. Really bad experience, not recommended going here. I took my hyundai 2022 for repairs for an accident on November 2022. They did the repair not in the time frame they said, but it was ok. First time i got it back. The front day-time light had I led light out, and the front head light that they replaced came was scratch. I took it back. They only polished the scratch out. For them to replace the day time light again i had to called my insurance to have them make them, since they weren't taking responsibility on it. I usually dont drive at night, but one time a friend and I, drove and noticed that the head light when into high been every time i accelerate. And big surprise, it was the same light they installed. I whent back for those light like 5 times. They weren't taking responsibility, the owner or manager there really dificult to deal with, always has a attitude. At the end they replaced both lights, but it took almost 4 months later. Really don't recommend this place unless you want to be back more than once.

In the snake pit that is the Auto Repair world, this guy is the King Cobra. Nasty, vague and unresponsive. Gives a "verbal quote" that starts with "more than a thousand" and by the end of conversation is "more than two thousand"...fine, let's do it. Call a couple of times to check progress, and firs time its ordering parts. The second time its parts coming in tomorrow...fine, but I need my car for the weekend (been there 7 days), so if you can't get it done, I'll pick it up and bring it back next week...nasty response, rude, unhelpful and generally saying FU with every word. Pick up the car, and asks for my credit card without showing me the bill...ask for the bill and it's $4k. Now I have to figure out how to repay my credit card. I only wanted the sensor to be turned off, which I learned afterwards was $100 fix. Bottom line is this guy plays the game like an old school shake-down master. Had plenty of opportunity to get my approval for a $4k approval or to inform me that the cost would be higher than we discussed...I guess he thinks I have money and had a chance to get some...

First I want to start by saying I was a little hesitant on getting work done on my car again. Mainly because before this time around two weeks prior someone hit my car while it was parked. I had by far the worst experience imaginable. My car only had bumper issues. Which should of been straight forward. Replace the bumper and the components. But nope they had my car over a month. So I was out on car rental cost as well as paying out of pocket for the damage. Ontop of that they didn't replace everything they were supposed to. I won't put the shop name because I don't feel it's the proper thing to do. Karma takes control of that.So I ran across Manhattan Auto Care. I read the reviews and they seemed to be legit. I saw the owner was retired Law Enforcement so that was a plus. I had to have my car towed there. And I would say a few hours I received a call from a young lady. I sent over the necessary documents. And from there I started to receive text messages on the progress. I have never known any other place to keep you informed in such a convenient way. My car was supposed to be done on a specific day. But a few days earlier I received a text stating it would be two days more. That was fine with me because it gave me time to rearrange things around. Picked up my car on the new date and was blown away. Highly recommended.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

My truck was hit while being legally parked. This was the first time this ever happened to me. I brought the truck to Manhattan Auto Care where I received excellent treatment! The owner, Richie, saw how upset I was, explained the process, kept in communication with me, and provided guidance every step of the way. The entire staff made this unpleasant event a professional and respectful experience. Thank you everyone!

Recently got my car fixed through an insurance claim. I had to replace a sideview mirror, fix a dent and a large scratch spanning two doors. The car looks as good as new. Manhattan Auto was a good experience overall. The damage to my vehicle was repaired and it was returned as promised. Paperwork was minimal and handled efficiently. The time they quoted for what needed to be done seemed unreasonably long even though they finished a few days early. The work was done well. My car is definately better than when it came in. What bothered me the most was when I picked up my car . There was a bottle of Martinelli's in the passenger seat and my sunglasses on the console. I did not bother to empty the console because there is no reason to go in it. They tossed through all of my compartments and my emergency roadside bag was unzipped. Right away I saw that I was missing 2 giant bags of almond M & M's. Who does that? I paid for their services and they let someone go scavenging in my car? The staff at Manhattan auto care are fantastic. You're always greeted with a smile. I felt so comfortable leaving my car was such a confident team. Rich the owner was super involved and let me know when the vehicle will be ready. Original estimate was gonna be over three weeks and they were able to do it in half that time. The work was amazing and the car was sparkling as it left their facility.I was so impressed with their team at Manhattan auto care, I will refer all my friends family and anyone I can tell about their great service.Thank you Manhattan Auto Care.

I had a great experience with Manhattan Auto Care. Most people never want to have to take their vehicle in for repairs, but they made the experience far more pleasant than I could have hoped for. They were recommended to me by my insurance company, and I am so glad they were.I dropped my car off on a Friday expecting it to take a week or more, and they were able to have it repaired and in perfect shape by Monday afternoon. They went above and beyond to communicate with me and keep me in the loop every step of the way. Richard could tell that I was concerned about the situation and he not only helped me through it, but offered amazing advice in navigating the situation with my car and insurance.I have so many great thing to say about MAC. I am just so thankful that I got so lucky in having a great team with Richard and everyone there.Five stars isn't enough for the job they did. My car looks and runs like brand new! So, I bought my first car November 20, 2021 as my 44th birthday gift to myself. December 7, I went to Trader Joe s after work near my new job in LI, and some 75 year old man backs into my right rear door after not checking his rear view mirror. Since it was his fault, I had to get an estimate through his insurance. I get to Manhattan Auto Care after speaking to Richard who said they re usually not open Saturdays but would be there that Saturday nobody s there (or at least anywhere I can see them). After waiting and checking back for an hour, I get in my new-to-me car to head home and my battery is dead. I m kind of glad I waited the 3.5 hours for roadside assistance to go get my battery changed at the dealer I bought the car from, because I finally catch Richard coming out to get in his car and ended up getting my estimate started. I liked his straightforward attitude and decided to use him instead of another repair service.Richard was great from the time I met him till the time my service was complete. When I went in to drop off my car for repairs, he asks if I want him to call Enterprise. I let him know I already had a car reservation, then he informs me that they would pick me up to get my rental. Enterprise had not only previously let me know that this service was offered. That not only saved me $2.75 on the subway but also saved me from the germs and annoyances of the subway! Lol.I went to pick my car up this afternoon. Not only was the dent fixed immaculately, but my car was cleaner than when I dropped it off. I will be using Manhattan Auto Care for my mechanic from now on.Thanks again, Richard and team!Edit 11/3/22: so, some lady rear ended me at a stop light (yes, I was completely stopped) two weeks ago and just shy of my one year anniversary of owning a car. Of course I wanted Manhattan Auto Care to take care of me. The way my bumper was damaged required a whole new bumper, so thanks Rich for not just going with their estimate.I pride myself on keeping a clean car inside and out, and when I picked up my car yesterday, it was cleaner than I d left it! It might just be the fact that I missed my Ruby , but she also seems to pick up faster than before I dropped her off. As always, they were professional, courteous and gave me candy!Once again, Rich & team saved the day!

The manager of this shop is rude from the beginning to the end of the process. Make sure you get your estimate on paper and approve it before leaving your vehicle because the charges might mysteriously double. Also, check the work closely before taking the car off the premises because they will not! Based on the way they handled my business, I could not recommend this place and wouldn t return.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Where to start... After a nice golf outing followed by a lovely trip visiting family in Long Island, we noticed that someone had sideswiped our car, which actually, was a borrowed car from our in-laws. Yikes. There was an obvious scratch on the side of the car and also a dent in the front as well. It just so happened that my in-laws were also preparing to trade the car in for a newer model that week. Panicked set in instantly when we discovered the very noticeable damage to the car and my next (panicked) call was to Manhattan AutoCare.The receptionist was so incredibly nice, which is rare in Manhattan especially when temperatures exceed 85 degrees, and explained that I should probably just bring the car in now if I was able. When I actually got to the office, Richard (the owner) came out to inspect the car and while I waited to hear the exorbitant estimate, I was surprised to receive an estimate that was actually affordable. I had to hug him to not break out in tears. I would also like to note that this is not an exaggeration, at all.Richard and his team fixed the Subaru that day, within hours, detailed the car and actually suggested an option that would be less expensive as it related to the repairs. When I tell you that the car looked good as new, believe me. I was so incredibly grateful that I had to send lunch. They truly are a really nice group of people and I'm glad that we have a place in the neighborhood that does quality work without breaking wallets, with an awesome attitude.We're bringing our other car here as well!Services: Painting, Auto detailing

Just read all of the last reviews about how this person s car is allegedly being held without any work being done. It just so happened that I walked in while the police and the co-owner of that vehicle were talking with the owner of the shop, and apparently the car has been there for a month without no payments made. The police were there because they tried to steal back their car and got caught. Only someone would try to steal back their car to avoid having pay a whole month s worth of storage costs. I definitely walked in at a juicy moment, but it really seems like the owners of the vehicle brought it upon themselves. I have been here 3 times for autocare, and I have never had an issue with them. I drive here from queens, and take the train home so that should say enough. And I ll keep coming back because their work and employees are honest people.

Fantastic customer services from the beginning till the end, and great quality of work. You would never guess that my car had a damage: the paint was matched perfectly. Most importantly, Richard is an honest and trustworthy man, and his pricing is more than fair. This shop is my go-to for any body work. Highly recommend them!

Highly recommend! Richard is incredibly friendly and thorough. I immediately knew I was in good hands. He took the time to explain everything to me regarding my car that was hit while it was parked. They sent progress emails along the way so I was always in the loop. The shop is beautiful and the repair was flawless. Also, the car was cleaned and smelled lovely when I picked it up. Very happy I found this spot!

The work on our car was excellent and we are happy to have found a trusted body shop in Manhattan. Our car was hit while parked. Thankfully, the driver left a note and we were able to go through his insurance to get our repair. The company referred us to Manhattan Auto Care. Otherwise, we probably never would have met Rich. Rich was excellent from the first moment. He took very good care of our car and finished the job in exactly the amount of time he said he would. The car looks brand new! He's a great guy - a true New Yorker - a blast from the past. Hopefully our car never gets hit again, but if it does, we will happily take it back to Rich.Services: Painting, Body & Trim
